"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
Twin roars ripped through the clouds, shaking the entire sky. Above the Tepes royal city, two colossal figures materialized—crimson and silver, regal and impossibly beautiful, radiating an authority that made the world itself feel smaller.
Ddraig and Albion.
Tenra's Cardinal Crimson Promotion had unleashed them—every seal on their Sacred Gears broken, giving the legendary dragons total freedom. It was a feat only Tenra could pull off, a unique Juggernaut Drive that let Ddraig and Albion fight at full strength.
Back when Tenra was still at Maou-class, this technique could only let the dragons reach about seventy percent of their prime. But now, as a Transcendent, he'd unlocked the real deal: Ddraig and Albion, unrestrained and at their absolute peak.
Their presence was overwhelming. Pressure rolled out in waves, making the air itself heavy. The vampires of Tepes scattered in panic, instinct screaming at them to run—fast, and as far as possible.
The city was chaos. Ddraig and Albion's arrival had turned the entire capital into a panicked stampede.
"So I get to fight Ddraig and Albion?" Crom Cruach's eyes—one gold, one black—lit up with wild excitement. He let out a booming laugh that echoed over the rooftops.
"Fantastic! This is it!"
Facing the legendary Two Heavenly Dragons was his lifelong dream—and today, he'd finally get his wish.
Ignoring Tenra, Crom Cruach spread his pitch-black wings and blasted through the palace roof, soaring into the sky.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
His body swelled, muscles rippling, as he transformed back into his true form—a titanic black dragon that blotted out the sun.
But he wasn't the only monster in the sky.
"Hahahaha! Battle! Battle! I want in!"
A voice like thunder crashed through the city. The ground shook, buildings trembled, and a second gigantic form rose from the far side of Tepes.
It was a beast covered in dusky scales, standing upright on two thick legs. Its claws gleamed, fangs and horns jutting from its head, massive wings unfurling, tail lashing behind it. Not quite a dragon—more like a giant with draconic traits. Human-shaped, but with wings, tail, and a monstrous reptilian head.
Where Ddraig, Albion, and Crom radiated pure power, this newcomer radiated violence. It smashed buildings just by moving, crushing unlucky vampires beneath its feet.
Screams filled the air. The city's vampires were losing their minds. Why were all these monsters here?
"Grendel, what are you doing here?" Crom Cruach hovered overhead, wings beating, glaring at the newcomer.
"Don't be stingy, old man Crom! You can't handle Ddraig and Albion by yourself—let me have one! C'mon, let me fight!"
Grendel was a battle maniac, shrieking with glee as he barreled through the city, smashing everything in his path.
Ddraig recognized him instantly.
"Wait, Grendel? Wasn't he supposed to be dead?!"
Crom Cruach sounded weary.
"It's complicated. He's been revived, somehow. Same as ever—nothing in his head but muscles and the urge to fight."
Ddraig grimaced.
"I'm not dealing with this lunatic. Albion, he's yours."
Though Crom Cruach was the strongest Evil Dragon, Grendel was a nightmare to fight—once he latched on, he never let go.
Albion just shot Ddraig a cool look and didn't bother replying. She formed a hundred-meter energy sphere in midair, then snapped her blue wings, launching it straight at the charging Grendel.
Grendel whooped with joy, catching the massive orb in his arms. The blast shoved him backward, mowing down buildings until he crashed into the forest beyond the city.
BOOM!
A blinding explosion ripped through the trees. The shockwave flattened everything nearby, and Grendel's roar echoed—less pain, more pleasure.
He sounded like he'd just gotten his fix.
"Crom Cruach, let's get started!" Ddraig bellowed.
"Excellent!" Crom Cruach's voice boomed in reply.
Ddraig versus Crom Cruach. Albion versus Grendel.
One side: the Heavenly Dragons, famed for raw power. The other: Evil Dragons, notorious for their brutality.
Under the horrified eyes of every vampire in Tepes, Heaven and Evil clashed.
Meanwhile, inside the palace—
"Grendel… an Evil Dragon that was supposed to be dead…" Tenra muttered, still cradling Valerie.
Crom Cruach was one thing, but even the infamous Grendel—'Evil of Sin'—had shown up. Tenra was genuinely surprised.
But as he glanced at Valerie, understanding dawned.
No way the vampires pulled this off alone. It had to be Khaos Brigade, using the Holy Grail's power to resurrect them.
With the Grail, as long as the soul remained, even a destroyed body could be restored. That was the terrifying power of Longinus—logic-defying, miracle-making.
And the Holy Grail inside Valerie? Tenra was determined to claim it.
He swept a cold gaze over the vampire guards still blocking their way.
"Still planning to stop us?"
The guards retreated, not one daring to attack.
Tenra smirked.
"We're leaving."
He led Yubelluna and the girls out of the palace.
Outside, chaos reigned. Explosions shook the earth, monsters clashed, and the city teetered on the edge of destruction.
A handful of vampires crowded around Marius, faces pale and anxious.
"Lord Marius, what do we do?"
Marius's face was twisted with rage—he wanted nothing more than to tear Tenra apart. But survival came first.
He glared after Tenra, venom in his eyes, then spat his order.
"Everyone—evacuate. Now!"
