The elder, the eldest prince, the scholarly man in white and silver robes, stood in the corridor of the east wing. His cultivation, Divine Integration early stage, radiated. His sharp eyes, scanning the palace grounds, were alert. His posture, rigid, was the posture of a man on guard.
His guardian, an old cultivator at peak Divine Integration, materialized beside him. The man's face, aged, weathered, was grave. His hands, behind his back, were clasped.
"Master," the guardian said. His voice was low. Careful. "We have analyzed the power capacity of this royal emperor, Tian Long. The issue is, they have brought a whole army here. If not for them being so strong, anyone would have considered it a war."
The elder's sharp eyes, on the guardian, narrowed. "A war?"
