I barely manage to parry the incoming axe and release a blast of attack toward the Chaos God, who is grinning from ear to ear.
"Boost. Boost. Boost."
With each boost, my attack gets stronger, but it is still not good enough to damage him. I grunt a little and decide to add the [Stinger] effect to my attack. I released a dozen lasers at Khorne, who happily let my attack hit him.
It is a mistake.
My attack pierces through his body, armor, and any wacky stuff he puts around his body. The folding effect that he put around his body to block my attack does nothing as my attack punches through the field and hits his true body.
I can see bronze liquid pouring from his body, melting the ground it hits and releasing a blood-red fume. Khorne himself lets out a roar that sounds like laughter and charges at me. Its axe rises high and swings at me.
I need to use my [Blink] power to teleport as the attack cleaves through the ground. I watch as Khorne looks at me, and I feel something whiting me, but golden light envelopes me, and the feeling disappears.
I look at the Emperor and give him a nod.
With that, the two of us charge at the Chaos Gods. The Emperor swings his sword, lightning crackling from his flaming sword, and I can feel reality crack under the pressure of his psychic might. I add [Stinger] effect to his attack, and I release an attack of my own.
Red lights came out of the boosted gear and hit the chaos god head-on while the Emperor fought him in close combat.
"Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost!"
I fly toward the Emperor, touch his back, and say.
"Transfer!"
The golden light around the Emperor gets bigger and bigger before it envelops the entire planet. If not for the Boosted Great, I would not be able to see how bright it is. It is also strong enough to purify all the daemons around us and leave only the Chaos God, who is screaming in anger.
"Hold him! I shall make him mortal!"
Without saying anything, the Emperor raises his left hand, and golden light intensifies around the Chaos God, locking him in place.
"No God deserves immortality! I bring the gift of Death! I declare! You! Mortal!"
I can feel a lot of my energy used, and only through my [Curse Devouring Physique] that I am able to replenish the energy I spend.
The effect is immediate. I watch a pitch-black aura appear around Khorne, who is attempting to fight it. However, it did not work, and the pitch-black aura entered his body, and now there are cracks on his body.
Instead of fear, Khorne looked at me with hatred and murder in his eyes. He roars and releases a massive psychic power. Lucky for me, I stand close to the Emperor, who protects me from whatever it is Khorne is trying to do.
I take out EA and activate it. The Emperor knows what to do and starts charging forward. His sword releases a massive torrent of golden fire, and his power claws crackle with golden lightning.
As the two of them clash, I raise EA into the air and let it spin. When it is ready, I point at him and say.
"Judgment is upon you. Behold the crushing might of my Sword of Rupture. Behold! Enuma Elish!"
The Emperor teleports away as my attack tears through the psychic aura around the Chaos God. It drills through anything Khorne puts between the attack, but something is happening. The attack stops as the vision of hell appears between the attacker and Khorne himself.
Khorne pulls his realm into Realspace and bends the law of reality to his will. As the absolute ruler of his realm, Enuma Elish's power was diminishing and disappearing. Even though he managed to defeat the attack, I can feel Khorne's power also weakening.
And we decided to use this.
The Emperor and I dash forward and attack him from two fronts. I summon a long spear made of golden light using the power of [Divine Blade] and dash forward. The Emperor and I attack Khorne relentlessly.
However, Khorne deserves the title of God of War and Lord of Battle. He welcomed us in close combat and even won. Even with the Emperor using his power to prevent Khorne from using his warp power, Khorne still hit like a truck.
"Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost."
I keep boosting and boosting while thrusting and swinging my spear. Only through the [Spear of Untraceable Trajectory] skill am I able to keep up against Khorne and even deal damage. However, each time I was able to land a clean hit, Khorne countered my attack and caused twice as much damage to me.
Even boosted gear, already boosted multiple times, cracked and cut my flesh from the attack. Only through my [Viltrumite Physiology] and [Armament Haki] was I able to reduce the damage to a bearable level.
Using [Cure], I heal the wound and rejoin the fight.
"Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost."
With another wave of boost, I fly toward Khorne and thrust my spear. The Chaos God blocks it and uses his tail to counterattack. I twist my spear and put some of the [Stinger] power into the attack. With a slash, I cut through his tail, and I burn it using [Banishing Fire].
However, by doing so, Khorne immediately appeared in front of me and punched me. I groan in pain as I can hear the crack from the boosted gear and the crack from my bones as my body gets thrown to the ground.
I can feel my body dig through the ground and land deep into the planet's crust.
I gasp a little when I stop and slowly get up. I stretch a little, use [Cure], and take a deep breath. I fly out of the hole and see Khorne fighting the Emperor.
"Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost."
With another group of boosts, I fly toward Khorne and release a massive blast of attack enchanted with [Stinger]. Khorne attempts to block it, but it punches through the axe, destroying it, and I can hear the screaming of a daemon granting a True Death.
I see. His axe is a Greater Daemon, huh? Good. Let's do as much damage as possible before the finale. That [Stinger] takes a lot of energy, but I can recover quite a bit because of the [Curse Devouring Physique].
Khorne snarls and summons another weapon and dashes at me. However, before he can reach me, a golden chain appears around him and forces him to stop. I create a spear using [Divine Blade] and use the full power of [Spear of Untraceable Trajectory]. Multiple spears appear in front of Khorne and are ready to cause a lot of damage to the Chaos God.
However, instead of hitting the Chaos God, my attack hit regular daemons that teleported in front of my attack. Each one of them died instantly because of the power of [Stinger], but their presence is enough for Khorne to move slightly and swing his axe to parry my remaining attack that is able to reach him.
The Chaos God manages to break the chain around him and roar loudly. I can feel the flicker happening around us. The Emperor drags me away just in time as the area around Khorne starts to change into the Realm of Chaos, his realm.
"He is getting desperate."
I look at the Emperor as we stand a kilometer away from the Chaos God who brings his realm in this one.
"His time in real life is getting short. This is it, Old Friend. Just a little bit more, and we can banish him to where he was from."
"Heh. Let's do this, old man."
"Hah! You are also an old man, Old Friend."
