The first take for The Door You Built was not perfect.
That was the name Dayo and Luna had finally chosen for the EP after a long discussion a few days ago. It sounded simple at first, almost too simple, but the more they sat with it, the more it refused to leave. It was not only about Dayo building a space for Luna's voice to return. It was also about Luna choosing to step through that door herself. she was using this as a medium to appreciate Dayo for what he had done for her.
So when the first take came out uneven, Luna felt it more than anyone else.
