"Not dying isn't really a plan. That's just survival instinct. A Loki should always have a plan..." Loki rambled on endlessly.
But no one paid him any attention.
All the Lokis knew that anyone who had been pruned and sent here had their own problems, but none of them wanted to talk about it—at least not right now.
"Will someone please explain what the hell is going on?" Loki finally roared at the group of Lokis hurrying ahead of him.
"Listen, for the past few days—or maybe months, I don't even know anymore—I've been trying very, very hard to figure things out!" Loki shouted, clearly on the verge of losing his mind.
"Ever since the Battle of New York, I have no idea how much time has passed. All I know is that I got pruned, woke up here, and now I'm surrounded by a bunch of time-criminal versions of myself and a freaking alligator!"
"And the saddest part is that I don't even think that's strange anymore!"
"We don't know what we're running from, we don't know where we're running to, and I need to find a way back to the TVA!"
Before he could continue yelling, Kid Loki suddenly pressed a magical dagger against his throat.
Loki nearly jumped out of his skin and collapsed onto the ground in shock.
"Stop shouting," Kid Loki warned coldly. "You'll attract Alioth."
It was obvious he feared the creature deeply.
If Alioth found them, they were all dead.
"You mean that thing in the sky?" Loki asked, glancing toward the monstrous purple cloud above them.
Kid Loki nodded, sheathing the dagger before helping Loki back to his feet.
"Thanks," Loki muttered.
Kid Loki explained:
"This place is the TVA's dumping ground. Everything they prune ends up here."
"And Alioth… is what makes sure nothing ever leaves."
He pointed toward the gigantic purple beast in the distance.
Only now did the people outside the screen finally understand.
So this was what happened after being pruned.
Back when Loki was inside the TVA, the black female judge had threatened to prune him. At the time, nobody really understood what that meant.
Now they did.
Pruning didn't actually kill someone outright—it dumped them into a giant cosmic wasteland and left them to fend for themselves.
And inside that wasteland lurked a terrifying monster capable of devouring everything.
The viewers also realized that these people were exactly the various Loki variants Lin Feng had mentioned in his diary.
And if all of them were Lokis, then it finally made sense why there were so many of them here.
Clearly, they had all gone off their "sacred timeline," caused trouble, and eventually been pruned into this void together.
"So it's actually not as terrifying as I imagined," Hawkeye Clint Barton commented.
"At first I thought it'd be some kind of eighteenth-level hell. But there's still room to run around here. You don't die immediately."
"I don't think it's that simple, Clint," Natasha said seriously.
"If it were really that easy, the TVA agents wouldn't treat this place like such a nightmare. Those Lokis are terrified of it too."
"And think about it logically. If this place is where the TVA dumps all timeline criminals, then where are all the countless variants from across endless timelines?"
"If survival here were easy, this place should've developed into an entire civilization by now."
"But it hasn't."
"Which means most of them are probably dead."
Everyone thought about it and realized Natasha made perfect sense.
If survival here were easy, the countless pruned variants would've built cities long ago—maybe even entire countries.
But there was nothing.
Meaning this place was incredibly deadly.
Most people simply couldn't survive here.
Only Lokis apparently could.
On screen, the Black Loki continued explaining:
"Alioth is a living storm. It consumes matter and energy. The TVA dumps every branched reality here, and Alioth devours them immediately."
"We're basically living inside a shark tank," Old Loki added.
"Alioth is the shark—"
The Alligator Loki suddenly growled.
Old Loki hurriedly corrected himself:
"There isn't actually a shark tank. It's just a metaphor."
"He's sensitive. Just like the rest of us."
"Wait..." Loki suddenly froze.
"That thing is a Loki too?"
He was genuinely stunned.
There being multiple Lokis was one thing.
Even a Black Loki—fine, he could accept that.
But an alligator?
That wasn't even the same species!
How could his biological parents possibly give birth to a crocodile?
Even for the God of Mischief, this was absurd.
"Yep," Old Loki confirmed calmly.
Loki stood there in utter shock, clearly suffering massive psychological damage.
Outside the screen, everyone reacted similarly.
Lin Feng's diary had already mentioned an Alligator Loki before, but seeing it with their own eyes was still unbelievably ridiculous.
The multiverse truly was limitless.
"HAHAHAHA! I seriously want to show this clip to Loki just to laugh at him," Thor burst out laughing.
"Thor, you're not any better," Tony Stark immediately fired back.
"Didn't Lin Feng also mention a Frog Thor? And maybe a horse-faced Thor? Wasn't there even a dog that became Thor at some point?"
Thor's face instantly darkened.
What kind of madness was this?
The thought of a future Frog Thor getting mocked the same way made him deeply uncomfortable.
"Fine," Loki sighed. "Nothing surprises me anymore."
"But why are there so many of you?"
That was also the exact question the Avengers outside the screen wanted answered.
"Because Lokis survive," Old Loki replied.
"That's what we do best."
Everyone immediately understood.
Just as they had guessed, the reason there were so many Lokis here was simple:
Lokis were absurdly difficult to kill.
"Great. Then how do we escape?" Loki asked eagerly.
"We don't," Old Loki answered flatly.
"We all got arrested by the TVA and pruned here. Just like you."
"And we all came up with pointless plans too. Just like you," he added mockingly.
As someone who had spent countless years surviving here, Old Loki understood Lokis better than anyone.
And from his experience, all those elaborate plans were useless.
Once you ended up here, escape was impossible.
"We can use a TemPad!" Loki suddenly suggested.
"A TemPad? Sure!" Black Loki laughed sarcastically.
"There should be tons lying around here, right?"
All the Lokis burst into laughter.
Clearly, they found Loki's idea ridiculous.
This wasn't the TVA.
Why would there be TemPads in a cosmic garbage dump abandoned by the TVA?
"Fine," Loki said helplessly. "Then what about creating a Nexus Event?"
He was getting increasingly frustrated.
These Lokis were nothing like the ambitious, scheming versions he knew.
Where was their drive to conquer and cause chaos?
"Nexus Event?" Nick Fury immediately caught onto the key phrase outside the screen.
"What's a Nexus Event? Why does Loki think it could help him escape?"
Everyone frowned.
That term was clearly important.
But once again, critical context was missing.
They still didn't know why Loki had been pruned and sent here in the first place.
If only Lin Feng's diary had explained more, many mysteries would've been solved already.
"The TVA doesn't care what happens here," Black Loki replied directly.
"So there's really nothing we can do?" Loki asked, sounding genuinely hopeless.
Even causing a Nexus Event couldn't attract the TVA's attention.
That was beyond despairing.
"There is one thing," Old Loki said seriously.
"Survive."
"That's the only thing that's ever mattered. Past or present."
"That's enough talking," Kid Loki interrupted impatiently.
"Come on."
"Do whatever you want. I don't care anymore."
Kid Loki was clearly already annoyed with the newly arrived Loki.
The others obviously followed Kid Loki's lead and quickly continued onward.
