This was why she feared Lin Feng might succumb to such a path.
"There's too much at stake in the future," Lin Feng explained. "I'm sure the Ancient One has seen some of the crises with the Time Stone. But those are just a fraction of what lies ahead. Until I reach Celestial Father-level, I can't even guarantee my own safety."
The Ancient One sighed. While she found Lin Feng's profound insecurity absurd—few in this world could truly threaten him—the visions she'd glimpsed of future crises made her understand his fears.
She suddenly remembered that she had once felt the same way, and had tried countless times to save the world and herself.
But when she finally realized she couldn't change her ultimate fate, she gave up.
"In that case, I won't say any more," the Ancient One sighed. "However, I'll give you my own notes on my experiences. I hope they'll be of some use to you."
"Thank you, Ancient One!" Lin Feng said.
After asking a few key questions and receiving the notes, Lin Feng left Kamar-Taj and returned to his luxurious mansion. There, he studied the Ancient One's notes while preparing to attempt the breakthrough to Celestial Father-level.
This attempt lasted until 2012, another six months.
Lin Feng's influence continued to expand. Few dared to obstruct him in America, especially after he had Senator McKinsey killed with a dump truck, and the entire family died by suicide. Many were reminded of the terror he inspired.
His brazenly left-behind message infuriated many. How dare a mere Chinese man be so arrogant?
However, those who knew the truth remained silent.
Many people vaguely sensed that Lin Feng had a powerful force backing him, especially given his willingness to use the most brutal methods against those who targeted him.
Some even attempted assassinations. One group hired gunmen to shoot Lin Feng down, while another tried to have foreign tribes ambush him. But before they could get close, his guards eliminated them.
Lin Feng never showed mercy in response to these attacks. He wiped out not only the assassins but also their entire families, ensuring the whole clan was wiped out.

As the Battle of New York drew closer, Lin Feng's preparations entered their final stages. With his current strength, he no longer feared the Chitauri invasion. His true concern wasn't them, but Thanos behind them, and even more so, the impending birth of the Celestials. Lin Feng still hadn't figured out how to handle either of these threats.
Then, one day, Thor arrived with a surprise—or rather, a terrifying shock.
He stood before Lin Feng, carrying Stormbreaker.
Lin Feng's hair stood on end, a primal instinct of a powerful being sensing danger.
That axe... it threatened him.
*Stormbreaker!*
The words flashed through his mind.
But Stormbreaker wasn't supposed to be forged until after the deaths of Thor's family in *Avengers: Infinity War*. How could it exist so early?
"What is this?" Lin Feng asked, gesturing to the axe in Thor's hand.
"I call it Stormbreaker," Thor said with a grin. He released the axe, and it automatically floated around him.
He looked proud; this was one of his recent accomplishments. After watching Lin Feng's video last time, he had spoken to his father, Odin, about it, and Odin had immediately agreed.
Originally, he was going to forge Stormbreaker for Thor anyway; this was just a slight acceleration of the process.
After the dwarves worked tirelessly day and night, Stormbreaker was finally completed. He immediately brought the axe to Lin Feng, hoping to provoke him into revealing more.
"What's wrong? Is your hammer broken?" Lin Feng asked with a smile.
"How could that be? My father just thinks I rely too much on Mjolnir's power, so he had me switch to an axe," Thor shook his head. In reality, Mjolnir had only served as an early-stage power amplifier.
By now, his strength had grown to a level where Mjolnir was no longer sufficient.
Forging Stormbreaker was the better choice, as it could greatly amplify his inherent power, even threatening Celestial Father-level beings—though only after Thanos was backlashed by the power of the six Infinity Stones. Still, that was quite remarkable.
Lin Feng was utterly baffled. *What kind of logic is that? He thinks I rely too much on Mjolnir, so he forged me an even more powerful axe?*
*What kind of thinking is that?*
*Whatever the case, Lin Feng couldn't understand it.*
"What have you been up to lately?" Lin Feng asked.
Recently, Thor had been rarely seen on Earth, even delegating his diplomatic duties to others.
"I've been leading a campaign against the Dark Elves," Thor said. "Do you know them? These bastards want to plunge the entire universe into darkness and then rule over it."
He naturally wouldn't mention that he was trying to eliminate the threat once and for all, while his father was still alive, to eradicate the Dark Elves completely—or at least cripple them so badly they wouldn't dare retaliate.
The thought of his mother being killed by the Dark Elves in the Sacred Timeline filled him with grief. He would never let such a thing happen again.
"Of course I know them," Lin Feng replied, maintaining his composure. "They're in all the myths and legends." Yet he clearly remembered the Dark Elves were supposed to appear *after* the first Avengers movie.
But now, the Dark Elves' storyline was unfolding before the first Avengers movie had even begun?
"How is your mother doing?" Lin Feng asked tentatively.
"She's in excellent health, thank you for asking," Thor replied with a smile.
"That's good. But you should still keep a close eye on your brother, Loki. He's not exactly a saint."
Thor understood the unspoken meaning behind Lin Feng's words—it was all about the Dark Elves. Having watched Lin Feng's diary videos, he knew exactly what was going on.
"Of course, we're actively searching for him now. Once we find him, we'll bring him back," Thor said seriously.
Lin Feng didn't press the matter further. Some things he couldn't discuss openly—how could he explain that he could see the future?
He changed the subject, and he and Thor continued drinking until nightfall. Thor then hastily excused himself, citing an evening engagement, and rushed to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, summoning everyone online.
"I'll take Stormbreaker to Lin Feng. Maybe that'll inspire him to write in his diary. If not, I'll just keep visiting with it," Thor explained his plan.
The others exchanged glances. It was a crude and direct approach, yet it might just be the most effective. Playing hard-to-get with Lin Feng was pointless.
Sure enough, they didn't have to wait long. Everyone who possessed a Diary felt it updating.
That idiot Thor is acting like a total dork, specifically showing off Stormbreaker to me. Even with Stormbreaker, he's no match for me, but I have to admit, it's slightly improved his combat power. At least now he poses a minor threat.
*Logically, Stormbreaker shouldn't have surfaced yet. It was supposed to be forged by the Dwarf King for Thor during Ragnarok, when he was at his lowest point. Why has it appeared so early?*
*Never mind, there are too many messy things going on. Thor is even fighting the Dark Elves now, which shows how chaotic Northwestern Shanxi has become.*
