Ethan slowly shook his head.
The answer was unlikely.
The Churches had always maintained a neutral position.
The rise and fall of Empires had nothing to do with them. They rarely interfered in political wars unless the conflict grew so large that it threatened ordinary people or disturbed the balance of the entire continent.
As long as the war remained a struggle between nations, they would simply watch from the sidelines.
Only when disasters spread beyond control would they finally make a move.
That was why Ethan doubted the Churches had anything to do with what he was seeing now.
