The rewards were certainly amazing, but raising so many unruly children was another matter entirely. Thinking about dozens of little troublemakers running around the Blank Estate immediately gave him a headache.
Unfortunately, the army remained on a forced march.
There was no time to examine the rewards.
No matter how curious he felt, he could only suppress it and continue moving with the army.
Only after another week of continuous marching did the army finally stop and establish a temporary camp. Soldiers quickly began setting up tents while supply teams unloaded equipment. Horses were fed and cared for. Fires were lit throughout the camp while cooks prepared warm meals.
For the first time in many days, everyone could finally relax a little.
Inside his tent, Ethan sat down and stretched his body. The exhaustion from the past several weeks seemed to melt away slightly.
Then he rubbed his palms together excitedly.
A grin slowly appeared on his face.
