The castle rooftop was already in ruins.
Broken stone covered the battlefield as the wind howled through the open sky.

The two descended through the air as pieces of broken stone fell around them.

He grabbed Jedel and struck him again before throwing him downward.

Michael kicked him.
The force sent Jedel crashing into the ground below.

Dust exploded into the air.
Jedel disappeared beneath the rubble.
For a moment—

Then the ground cracked.
Jedel rose from the crater.

Before he could finish—
Michael slammed him against a nearby wall.
Jedel's back struck the stone.
He stared at Michael.
What happened to him?
His power is circulating through his body at a completely different level.
But I think I can still hold him off.
Jedel suddenly drove his knee into Michael's stomach.
Michael was forced backward.
Jedel immediately created distance.
I have to make sure this lands perfectly.
Golden energy began gathering around him.
Michael steadied himself.

"Jedel..."
His purple aura intensified.
"You will not survive."
Michael's thoughts raced.

I can actually feel every part of it.

He slowly lowered his guard.

I won.
Jedel turned away.

He felt something behind him.
Slowly, he looked back.
Michael stood inside the smoke.
His eyes were glowing emerald green.
Jedel froze.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Michael appeared beside him.
His hand wrapped around Jedel and lifted him from the ground.
Jedel struggled.
"Leave me!"
He kicked and twisted, but Michael didn't move.
Jedel gritted his teeth.
"I didn't want to use my powers at their best..."
His eyes began glowing.
"But you have forced me to, Michael Valric."
Suddenly—
A massive beam erupted from Jedel's chest.

The blast sent Michael flying across the battlefield.
He crashed through several pieces of stone.
Jedel stood there breathing heavily.
He looked toward the destruction.
"Oh..."
He smiled.
"You died."
But then—
The dust moved.
Jedel's smile disappeared.
Michael's body began recovering.
The damage faded.
His form restored itself.
Jedel's eyes widened.
"What... are these powers?"
Michael suddenly started laughing.
Not because it was funny.
Because he finally understood.
He couldn't be stopped that easily.

The clouds above the battlefield began reflecting the purple glow.
The entire castle seemed to disappear beneath the color.
Jedel stared.

Then calmly picked up a broken wooden branch from the ground.

"Seriously?"
He raised his hand.
A golden beam fired from his eyes.
Michael didn't dodge.
Instead—
He raised the purple aura around himself.
The golden beam disappeared into it.
The energy was absorbed.
Jedel's eyes shook.

Michael tightened his grip around the branch.
He rushed forward.

SLASH!
The branch struck Jedel across the torso and sent him stumbling backward.
Jedel stared at Michael in disbelief.
How is this guy doing all of this?
I'm supposed to be stronger.
Michael looked directly at him.
"Wrong."
His purple aura intensified.
"I am the stronger one."
Michael jumped into the air.
Purple energy followed him upward like a storm.
Jedel looked up.
Michael raised the branch above his head.
Then—
He brought it down.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive wave of purple energy erupted from the impact.
The ground beneath them collapsed.
Cracks spread across the battlefield.
Jedel was swallowed by the purple energy and fell deeper into the ruined ground.
He forced himself upward.

I can't lose here.
Jedel gathered every remaining bit of energy.
His body began floating.
Michael looked up.
"Wow."
Jedel raised both hands.
Golden energy formed around him.
He fired several beams toward Michael.
Michael's purple aura absorbed them one after another.
Jedel's eyes widened.
Again?!
Michael stood beneath him.
But suddenly—
His purple aura flickered.
Michael's breathing became heavier.

It's fading.
Jedel noticed immediately.
He smiled.
"You're done."
Michael looked up at him.
Then smiled.
"Look at yourself."
Jedel's smile disappeared.
His golden aura was fading too.
His body began losing its energy.

Both fighters had pushed themselves to their limits.

Then Michael's knees gave out.
Jedel fell at almost the same time.
Both warriors crashed onto the ruined ground.

The golden light faded.
