Mokushin Civil War
Hector stood in the darkness of the control chamber, surrounded by dozens of glowing screens. Through the cameras he watched the players marching through the burning streets.
Their footsteps echoed through the city.
Smoke covered the sky.
Fires reflected in Hector's cold eyes.
He smiled.
"So they are coming. Good. It is finally time to prove why they belong in the slums."
His voice thundered through every speaker in Mokushin.
"ANYONE WHO HELPS LACOD JUNYU OR THE PLAYERS WILL BE EXECUTED IMMEDIATELY!"
The announcement rolled across the city like a storm.
Far away, Junyu heard the words and slowed his march.
He looked at the frightened faces around him and spoke calmly.
"This war is not about today."
He pointed toward the city.
"It is about years of pain, sacrifice, hunger, fear, and the lives stolen from all of you."
His red aura flickered in the smoke.
"Tonight, Mokushin falls."
ZONE 1
Alarm bells screamed across the district.
Hector slammed his hand onto the command table.
"All guards to Zone 1! Do not let them enter the inner city!"
Rows of armored guards rushed into formation.
Junyu drew his blade
"We march through Zone 1," he said. "There are guards ahead, and we will defeat them."
He raised his blade.
"ATTACK!"
The players charged forward with a roar.
The guards met them head-on.
Steel crashed against steel.
Junyu vanished into the smoke.
A moment later—
CRACK!
A guard was thrown backward.
Junyu had circled behind them.
He moved through the battlefield like a red shadow, striking from the rear while the players attacked from the front.
The guards were trapped between two storms.
Then—
BLAST!
A barricade exploded.
Zone 1 began to collapse.
CONTROL ROOM
Hector stared at the screens in disbelief.
"That Lacod Junyu… he's tearing my kingdom apart."
His expression twisted with fury.
"I will not spare him. Prepare my suit."
Servants rushed into the chamber carrying a black armored frame glowing with NIT crystals.
ZONE 2
The next district was lined with explosive cannons, mines, and heavily armed guards.
The players hesitated.
Junyu stepped forward.
"Stay back. I'll end this with one attack."
Someone shouted, "What attack are you using, Junyu?"
He smiled.
"My favorite."
Junyu leapt high into the air.
Red energy gathered around him, swirling like a miniature sun.
The clouds above cracked apart.
"CELESTIAL SEVER!"
He brought the blade down.
BOOOOOOM!
The earth split open.
Shockwaves raced through the district, shattering cannons, destroying mines, and throwing every guard to the ground.
Dust rose into the sky.
When it settled, Zone 2 was silent.
The players stared at him in awe.
Far away, Hector felt the tremor beneath his feet.
Sweat formed on his forehead.
"My kingdom…"
Junyu turned toward the remaining zones.
"This is where a king leaves his soldiers to defeat another king."
He looked at the players.
"Keep fighting. You will win. I'll deal with Hector."
The old woman covered her mouth as tears ran down her face.
"Our king…"
Junyu sprinted forward, ignoring every obstacle in his path.
THE KING OF MOKUSHIN
At the center of the city stood a towering black palace.
The gates burst open.
Hector descended from the sky wearing a dark armored suit pulsing with violet NIT energy. He landed before Junyu with a thunderous impact.
"Lacod Junyu," Hector said, bowing slightly. "A pleasure to meet you properly."
Junyu narrowed his eyes.
"You seem familiar."
Hector laughed.
"Of course we've met."
"Where?"
"Blackspire Dock."
Junyu's expression changed.
"The place where I fought Orin and Kael Blackfang…"
"Yes. I was there negotiating a shipment of NIT crystals. I watched you defeat them, and I was impressed."
Junyu raised his blade
"You'll be the next one I defeat."
"Try your best," Hector replied, tapping his armor. "This suit was forged from pure NIT crystals. Against ordinary fighters, it is a cheat code."
THE CITY BELOW
The players overwhelmed the last resistance.
Guards surrendered.
Banners were torn down.
Flames rose above the palace.
A soldier shouted desperately through the communicator, "Hector! The players have taken the city! What do we do?"
Hector never looked away from Junyu.
"Let them celebrate."
His visor lowered.
"I only need to kill him."
Below, the old woman raised her fist.
"Push forward!"
The crowd answered with a deafening roar.
"RAAAAH!"
Swords clashed one final time.
Then silence spread across Mokushin.
The gates fell.
The palace stood surrounded.
MOKUSHIN HAD FALLEN.
Hector looked over the burning city and said quietly,
"A city does not fall while its king still breathes."
Junyu stepped forward, red lightning crackling around his horns.
"Then you won't be breathing for much longer."
