Anyway, here's what's up for my creative careers. Essentially I feel mostly satisfied or just bored with my current creative endeavors. Writing could use new books or for ideas on my new channel for webnovel, Jacob_Hemlock, to be created and expanded on. One major problem: I am completely satisfied with my word count and have a better goal with a better viewer/player experience. Even if it will be filled with free assets because of how unique I can make this turn based rpg be.
Now let's do the Ad for the real project of the year at this point: the War of Angels and Vigilantes. Which will be a RPG Maker MZ representation of my schizo adventures such as featured here in this book before it became a blog. lol
It's main theme in my head but not out loud is my general schizo adventures with society, and my relationships with women and the Church of Christ. Also the War of Cucks and Bulls is there too, a lot. That's the main war that occurs off to the side every time I have a woman in my life.
In reality atm, it is mainly schizo adventures and a few scenes with women. We will eventually be exploring a lot in this story that goes along with my ideology, morality, and how it clashes with the rest of humanity.
It is currently a broken turn based rpg. Why? I am fat and not an artist mainly. And RPG Maker MZ is also a major blame to fat me and you. To non-fat programmers, I am a loser. lol
Main issue being for aesthetics and art: I am not an artist. And RPG Maker MZ is currently not good for creating cutscenes without an artist. If I have an artist, I can do an exquisite visual novel style for cutscenes. And even play a video. Probably. But for in-game engine cutscenes, it is ass. Mainly because of how long it takes to properly program the bots to even do a malding pattern in-game such as walking back and forth while ranting.
Instead, especially because I am broke and stuck on free assets, the game is broken. In multiple ways that you will roast me for because I am fat and broke on this stuff. Here is a general list of all the ways the game will be flawed and I will tell you to just deal with it because RPG Maker MZ did not pre-program the game engine well enough so that I can have things like cutscenes, events deleting properly like a conversation with an NPC, and more. But on the plus side, turn based rpg battles will be perfect... in function. The Game Engine actually lets me go so wild on turn based rpg mechanics, that you will either love it or hate it. Why? It will be eccentric and hard with game difficulty. My favorite example of this is actually a blessing. The end game weapon for the player character Jacob Hemlock will be the Hands of Death. If programmed right, it will give a bonus of 1500 attack. But current me is thinking it really might only boost your attack stat by 300% and add on 500 flat points. I am satisfied either way honestly. In addition, it also hits the enemy with like, 6 classic RPG status debuffs. Which are Poison, Blind, Confusion, Stun, and... I forgot the other two, lol. Point is this is a very untraditional turn based rpg when you are in the legit fully functional battle system.
Now onto the sadness. All the ways this game will regularly break on you until I get money or off my fat ass. And program into the games all the ways to be aesthetically based with cutscenes. Or option B, pay artists with a job presumably, and I don't even like the gofundme reference cause I'm so not popular, but we be desperate enough to acknowledge it even in free asset mode. With money, we can do a great Visual Novel/Turn Based RPG for sure. And because of being on Free Asset mode, I don't care about these flaws. Because it is a game that visually uses all free assets. Which means we will be roasted and nobody will play this game anyway. This is just a fun distraction and an Ad for a videogame that may one day get made properly even on my own wallet. If I dedicate myself to something absurd like one new cutscene image a month or some broke n!gga shiz. lol. Anyway, for real. Sad Explanation of Fat Man flaws time:
Events will not always disappear, meaning you will retrigger fight scenes and the same scene again and again.
When you reload the game after saving and reloading, even just a few minutes apart, all events respawn. I actually currently don't know how to solve this. It's honestly a major reason why Fat Man, Flawed Game of Sadness is even existing the most. With this flaw, this game becomes F tier in functionality.
There is no cutscene aesthetic. No custom art, even for the in-game world. There is not even cutscene aesthetic with how a in-game, free asset model could be moving around during a conversation.
All story is told through text boxes only. No voices, no dynamic scenes, no artwork. Nothing but text boxes with pre-made character faces or faces generated in the character builder. Which is just for general art for NPCs. But is honestly good enough to pout and be pleased. Besides the volume of assets. And not enough hairstyles. But everything else is good enough to make a valley of basic, somewhat unique NPCs. There's even a Medieval Cop with a beard! :D
That is in general, the real flaws. There may be other flaws but those are the intentional flaws we deal with because of Fat Man Free Asset User Mode. Other flaws to anticipate can just be guessed upon based on me being an Amateur Game Designer who is going untraditional and wild with the game design for battles in this turn based rpg.
So untraditional, I will guarantee a like... 3/5 on uniqueness with the battle system mechanics. Just mechanics, not visuals. Never visuals until I get money. lol
To give a sneak peak into it, I will now review my favorite builds for the player.
First we have Time Wizard armor set. Which is just good, OP armor with good stats. That does one unique mechanic on every piece epicly: I just give you more turns for the PC that is wearing the armor. And maybe more times your standard attacks trigger. Cause I can do that for some reason and I love RPG Maker MZ for it. XD
Raging Heart and Raging Spirit. Which is just self-detrimental BS. In exchange for lowering Health and Defense, I just boost the shit out of your stats. And probably add more base attacks, I dunno. lol
Vein Cutter, an OP melee weapon with one unique mechanic: Bleed. Which is just poison, but instead damages the victim for 20% of their total health per turn. If I programmed it right, lol.
Enemies feature mechanics as unique as this too sometimes. My favorite mechanics for enemies currently are as follows:
A standard attack that inflicts Blind and Poison with a 40% chance to trigger the status effect inflicting the PC with the debuffs.
A enemy that can evade 90% of attacks with a standard hit rate. I don't even know if I can buff hit rate after this one, lol. Enough studying of the one skill I made that's supposed to improve hit rate and this move with its first iteration: 500% Evasion Rate, admits that improving hit rate with a skill that hits the PC with the Hit Rate Buff using what RPG Maker MZ calls a State did not improve hit rate at all. But it still died in one hit as intended. Cause its second gimmick is it will literally die in one hit every time. It has 10 Def out of a max 999 and 100 HP. It is at best a mid-game enemy based on normal Player exploration in my head. Early game is possible always though due to how I don't railroad that hard. With every enemy on the map. My advice for this is simple: the further away from the starting point of the game, the more it can be considered late game. Otherwise, you can wander anywhere you want at will, with little exception.
And finally: the Church Army boss fight. Which features four decent Church Warriors who are meant to debuff you, or support themselves. And a Dragon which is supposed to currently represent a Church Loyalist Army. With epic stats, 30000 HP. And only one move besides regular attack. The Army Charge (or something) which is just a regular attack with a multiplier on the attack stat that is a 9. Which means it is AtkX9 for that move. Good luck with them, they're the first superboss of the game I made. The whole fight is considered Superboss difficulty. Which is a tier above regular bosses. To normies, this is a fight that is supposed to be Sans Genocide Route from Undertale tier. And is optional. Whole game is optional really, I'm not even sure how to program a end scene or credits scene yet. lol
That is in general my update for main projects. Everything else will be slowed down a lot, even youtube and writing here on webnovel. For this reason and one more which is a expected fat, broke n!gga problem: I currently don't have wi-fi at home. And honestly, for my normal youtube pattern anyway, I am so satisfied with what I've put out for the year so far with all normal categories besides one: talking about politics.
For webnovel, I feel the hunger. Especially on jacob_hemlock. I want to at least start a book featuring every character of the Main Cast that is only on my head. We currently added our first side character besides Henry Sheeves as a Main Character to the Main Cast that has been in my head since I was 15 and in high school. I'm 28 now. And only have 5 OGs of the childhood OG land of fictional n!ggas in my head starring in their own book. Our goal is to do all of them. Here is the list of the fictional OGs that need to get a book they star in:
Chelsea Triz. We just started her, but she still deserves way more.
Lucius Dehaviell, but his legit origin story. And not where he is a Arms Dealer. Magical Incubus version needs introduced. Which might mean we should finally do Fuckboy Hades. It already has him as something like his Hades form is supposed to be, but we left out the Incubus part. Which is honestly important enough for a separate book because he is supposed to be, in slang terms, a real Fuckboy Hoe.
Shadow and Grimmer. The Black Ninja X Grim Reaper couple must get their book and more.
Nathianiel Firefang. The Draconian Dude. Which is more like a Half Human, Half Dragon Man of the Medieval World.
Jessie, the shapeshifting trans character. Who is just supposed to be a hot shapeshifter that Jacob Deatrix is supposed to date at some point. But they deserve a book because Jessie is like, the Main and only Trans Main Character I have. Which is supposed to be a Genderfluid Shapeshifter with powers like Zarbon from DBZ. Where basically the more effeminate they are, the more physically weak but better at magic they are. And when more masculine and even monstrous in form, the more physically strong and more durable they are along with less strength in magic.
Nina and Thunder? A set of fraternal twins that is a weird concept to me I won't explain more than saying they are Thunder mages which are supposed to come around eventually.
