Hanabi traversed the galaxy, leaving a trail as dreamlike and elusive as she is.
Those who meet her for the first time find her cute and… sexy. Two completely different styles of feminine charm, perfectly fused within a single young woman.
But those who know her simply flee from her presence.
Hanabi is a "Masked Fool," a dangerous master of theatre.
Her thoughts are inscrutable, her methods unscrupulous.
She is obsessed with role-playing, possessing a thousand masks and able to assume ten thousand faces.
Wealth, status, power… none of it matters to Hanabi. The only thing that can move her to act is "fun."
However, the concept of fun… is a bit too abstract.
Her idea of fun changes from month to month. Take Ye Feng, for example…
---o---
On a night of the blood moon.
The school building was shrouded in a dense fog.
"Hey, a new day begins with a beautiful position."
Old Ye was still sitting in his usual seat by the window in the back row, waving at Hanabi as she walked into the classroom.
Ye Feng was letting Hanabi do as she pleased, hoping she would bring him a different kind of pleasure.
After all, a sense of anticipation is one of humanity's most important emotions.
However, Hanabi's repertoire was rather limited; she tossed and turned, but her positions were few, far less than a lecher like Ye Feng.
Perhaps she even knew less than the little bug.
This was purely due to Hanabi's lack of sexual experience. While she may have encountered such information through electronics or books, her practical application was ultimately lacking.
Therefore, Ye Feng slightly [Modulated] Hanabi's "identity," allowing her to approach from another angle—the one she excelled at: role-playing.
The current Lady Hanabi… was a nun.
She held the Holy Canon in her left hand and a dagger gripped tightly in her right.
Her long, straight black hair cascaded down her back.
She wore a loose, black nun's habit with a silver cross hanging on her chest, and on her feet were a pair of cold, black leather high heels.
On the surface, she appeared to be a stern and cold exorcist—an armed battle nun.
This was the great thing about Hanabi. Give her a "setting," and she could perfectly embody that identity.
No, it wasn't an embodiment—she was Hanabi.
Clack! Clack! Clack!
The soles of her sturdy high heels struck the floor, creating a crisp sound that echoed through the dark and silent classroom.
In this eerie, dim space, it blossomed with a touch of bewitching allure.
The petite and delicate battle nun walked up to the podium. Her pale, slender hand glided across the blackboard, her crimson-painted nails glinting with an unnatural light.
Her wine-red eyes rippled with a tipsy haze as she stared at Ye Feng. Her red lips parted slightly, a suggestive smile playing on them.
"A demon, over five hundred years old, lurking in the dense fog of the Far East at St. Freya High School."
"A great noble aspiring to inherit the Third Throne among the Twenty-seven Ancestors."
"It ceaselessly drains the essence of its sacrifices, with nearly five hundred young women having already fallen victim to its venomous touch."
"And if one counts the victims who have been 'infected,' the number is several times greater."
"The quality and quantity of your kin, as well as the strength of the interdependent heretical and demonic factions under your command, are all worthy of your name as an immortal monster, a [Transcendent among Transcendents]."
The Battle Nun, Hanabi, narrated Ye Feng's identity in a low voice.
The information was mostly correct. The students of St. Freya High School, plus the female teachers, numbered around 500.
And most of those with recognizable names were demons among demons, transcendents among transcendents—vassals of the Great Demon King Ye Feng.
"Oh? You knew it was me, yet you still dared to come alone? Such confidence. Kekeke."
Ye Feng flashed a wicked grin.
Hanabi's loose nun's habit swayed slightly. The garment, lined with barrier spells, emitted a unique, dignified aura.
The Battle Nun smiled. "I am the fourth-ranked Executor of the Burial Agency, holder of the Fourth Holy Scripture… hmm?"
Why the fourth?
Hanabi's brow furrowed slightly; she wasn't fond of that number.
But this minor hesitation was quickly erased.
"My mission on this journey is to [Bury] you."
The young woman had absolute faith in herself. She believed that with her strength, she could completely annihilate the twisted demon lurking in the fog with a sigh.
"Is that so? You're that confident you can defeat me?"
"Heh, hahaha."
The Battle Nun arrogantly lifted her chin and declared with awe-inspiring dignity, "Make no mistake. For me, this is merely a trial. It cannot even be called a battle!"
Woosh!
It was the sound of a flag unfurling in the wind.
A swath of white cloth unfurled from behind Hanabi.
The Shroud of Magdalene!
A cloth that once wrapped the body of a saint, a special Mystic Code used by the Battle Nun to seal her opponent's movements, possessing the specific trait of capturing men. It was also the bedsheet Ye Feng and Big Duck Duck used during their tryst in the penthouse.
Hanabi used this cloth to capture Ye Feng, binding him tightly like prey caught in a spider's web.
The Battle Nun gave a contemptuous smile and walked toward him with elegant steps, her black-stockinged legs flashing tantalizingly through the high slit of her habit.
She came to stand before Ye Feng, tilting his chin up with her finger.
"So this is the demon of legend. Not so impressive after all. Or perhaps you weren't using your full strength? Regardless, a demon captured by the Holy Shroud can never break free."
A flicker of panic crossed Ye Feng's eyes, but it was keenly caught by Hanabi.
She smiled faintly. "You have no more chances. Be a good boy and let me [Bury] you."
"Bury? How will you bury me? Are you going to bury me in the ground? Or seal me in a coffin first?"
"Heehee, you're quite the humorist."
The Battle Nun said, "The 'burial' of the [Burial Agency] is completely different from the secular world's. Our so-called burial is, in fact, 'purification'."
Swish, swish—
Suddenly, the cloth wrapped around Ye Feng began to change shape, sprouting four chains that locked onto his limbs, pinning him to the desk.
A night breeze blew in from the window, ruffling her black hair.
It also lifted the high-slit nun's habit, offering a glimpse of the scenery hidden within.
Beneath the solemn and proper nun's habit was a delicate and pale body.
Not that she was wearing nothing—her legs were wrapped in high-transparency, waist-high black pantyhose, and her pale upper body was bound in red ropes.
This, supposedly, was the "Holy Vestment" for baptizing demons.
Hanabi mounted the desk, her glossy high heels planted elegantly on either side of Ye Feng. Her pale, slender hands pressed against his firm chest.
The nun looked down at the demon, the corners of her mouth slowly curling upward.
"Although this is my first mission, I won't hurt you. The~~ [Burial] is about to begin, yo."
