Aiden didn't answer immediately. Instead, he gestured toward Zephron and the pendant, his expression thoughtful.
"You see," Aiden began, "this Demon Lord of yours was sent by the Ninth Ruler. And the pendant he wore carried Kethseia's Concealment power. But it was designed with three specific types of beings in mind."
He raised three fingers as he spoke.
"Dragons. Gods. And Angels."
He let that settle for a moment, then continued.
"Which means only dragons, gods, and angels would be unable to perceive him while he wore that pendant. But I do not fall into any one of those categories alone. I could be called a god or an angel, and it would not be incorrect. Yet I am beyond. All these.
That is how I was able to perceive him in the first place."
Samael's eyes narrowed slightly. "Why are you telling me all this?"
Aiden raised a hand and placed a finger over his lips. "Shh. Let me finish."
And somehow, Samael instantly obeyed.
