I woke up to the door alarm blasting loud and clear. We ran out to see someone in a suit. Dad jumped on him and he tased him. I felt some satisfaction as he began screaming in pain. Dad called nine nine one. I sat on the porch as mom cuffed him. The police came and dad did the talking. I was told to go inside. I locked the door and searched for an intruder. None was discovered. Dad smiled as he signed 'one of us stays by the door to make sure nobody can enter without our permission.' I signed 'mind blown' we had breakfast as I removed all the fish wire boobytraps. The wedge was once again shoved under the door for luck. Dad was fuming but said nothing. I signed 'Am you in trouble?' he signed 'No. The guy I had tackled was in the limits of the house. I can go as far as the gate. We stopped a burglar.' I gave him a thumbs up as he munched on his own breakfast. My breakfast was a focaccia sandwich, garden salad and orange juice.
Dad called CDC and told them what had happened here. The interrogator was a stern faced man. I heard him yelling. A few minutes later he was taken away since dad had proof of the breaking and entering. I saw the van and pulled out my phone. I video recorded the van as I called nine one one. I gave them the license plate numbers. They were found and apprehended. After the arrests I was told to be careful. I sat down and calmly meditated. Dad had spaced out. He was remembering a moment of my own childhood. I was adopted his best friend died. I was little had died in the car crash and I was the lone survivor. A minute or so later he came to his senses. I realized I can access memories but the person needs to recall it. The psychics locked up were trained so they would be tougher. I chose to go to the backyard and relax. I needed the vitamin D. I heard an engine roar to life. Suddenly I was in a car being driven to a factory. It was old. The wall had rust stains all over. Blood was dried on the floor. The route was familiar. I knew it was the basement of the hospital I just left a few days ago. I watched as he directed me to a room where kids were strapped down. I saw their faces. I knew he was showing me this to intimidate me.
The memory abruptly stopped and his voice was clear. 'You can't do anything' I grinned ear to ear. I will see about that. I focused and saw the kids. They were the kids of soldiers. This was a trap. I saw the other kids he didn't show me. I saw their faces and decided to show myself. But I had to something first. I came out of the memory and flit into the Fed's head. I saw his memories. I saw the atrocities and then I went back. I projected a few and their reaction was mixed but they still investigated it. They saw the truth and was discussing it when I introduced myself as a macabre doll. The army brat applauded my intelligence. A curly red headed boy kindly asked me how I was going to get them home. That was the million dollar question. So I decided to prove to social media about the deceit. A young ten year old asked me if his mom was ok. I told him I don't know but I have a plan to get them out. They promised to keep me a secret. I took a deep breath. I searched for the one person that I really don't like. A reporter named Andy Sax.
She was taking a beauty nap. I changed my look before I showed everything. I made her feel like she was clairvoyant. I was pleased with her reporting since she goes for the truth no matter what. I made sure she felt it was her only priority. A few seconds later she snuck in. She made sure to record the place. She was live streaming the incident. She got inside the basement and everyone saw the truth. There was no bleeding eye variant. The parents of those kids came running to collect them. I told the kids to get ready as their parents were coming for them all. They were skeptical till both doors burst open and their dad and mom barged in. The soldiers tried to fight them off. Some parents were soldiers too. They fought even harder. Soon the police came to arrest them all. The Hospital had sent security arrived as backup. I bowed playfully. 'You are all welcome' they all smiled as they left for good. One even tried to give me a hug. His hand went through me. I told him that I am actually under quarantine so I can't physically be here. I promised to see him once I am not.
They waved happily as they walked out of the room. A parent politely asked who they all had thanked as they reach the garage. One of little ones explained that they were shown the horrors of these bad ones. He asked me how I was going to help them go home. I had done this to get them to safety. They were all happy and very appreciative. They got in to their vehicles and left as quickly as they possibly could and I snapped out. I was sure he would get a notification as the news blared the incident. The man was furious. He actually flung his phone away. He froze as he realised that I may not be gifted. But unfortunately he can't prove it. He stared with rage as I walked back to my house. I used ready made mix to make the dosa batter. I also blended a berry milkshake. Dad was fermenting some peppers for hot sauce. Mom had finished doing yoga. She walked in with a glass of kombucha. I was enjoying myself when the doorbell rang. To my delight it was the CDC.
They came to do some fun tests. I found out they were here to help the army to see if I was chosen. I sensed around and discovered the results which proves I am what they are looking for. They made me logic tests. They used playing cards to rest my memory. Then they told me to draw something. I made sure to be just below the baseline. It turns out I flunked it. The old man in his seventies waited with baited breath. He was furious as he walked out. Mom and dad signed an ok. The Fed was informed and he was very annoyed. He demanded a retest. But no one listened. They moved on to the next one. I telepathically warned them too. I told them what to do to fail the test. They all thanked me as they stepped forward. The military were annoyed that suddenly no one was gifted. The public demanded a public trial. Some were arrested some got away. Typical reality. The public were enraged. They demonstrated on front of city hall. The news showed the kids who were killed. Their parents received an apology, reparations and a promise to reform.
Mom was holding on to dear life till dad switched channels. Mom gave him a hug as she watched a show about the latest fashion trends. I switched to the travel channel and mom relaxed. I got a notice that tomorrow I can step out for three hours. But I was told to keep my phone on at all times. I told mom and dad. And I quietly signed that I can't tell them my plan since I am duping a seer. They wished me luck as I sat down to make the dosa. I started cooking the masala dosa and drank the pine needle soda dad had made a few months back. It tasted like a much better version of Sprite. I made some for lunch and breakfast. Dad can reheat it he wakes up. I was enjoying myself when the Fed came back. He gave me a rubix cube. I intentionally flunked it too. I spent an hour trying to solve it. He got a smack on the back his head.
His wife yelled at him for giving her false hope. She was sure he will help her find her son. It was then the agent who were nearby broke the news. They found her kid. He had drowned and was bloating when they found his corpse. He had lied to her face. I told everyone to take their drama out of this house. I am too tired to listen to their crap. So they walked out I demanded a sincere apology since I am going to sue them. They promised me that it won't stick. I gave them a wave goodbye as dear dad spoke to his old law firm to take care of it. They had promised to handle everything. I send copies of all the documents. A few hours later they called to tell me that all the agents in question were fired. I was going to be awarded reparations and a beautiful and permanent restraining order. I am a law abiding citizen for that alone got me some leverage. The court ordered them to pay me eighty million dollars. Also the guilty ones can't testify in court forever. I heard the lawyer thanking me. I wished him a great day as I walked upstairs to get some sleep.
