As Kaien was in the air he made rapid hand seals forcing the chakra as a massive wall of earth erupted beneath the Darui's jutsu. It gave him a temporary platform, but he had no intention of letting Darui keep his footing. Extending his palm, Kaien activated his seals, creating a pull that dragged Darui towards him.
Darui didn't panic, the moment he was yanked into close quarters. He unsheathed his heavy cleaver-like blade to attack as soon as he reach close to Kaien.
Anticipating the counter, Kaien immediately cut off the attraction. In the same fluid motion, he willed the dual tanto blades strapped to his back to snap directly into his hands. He hurled the first tanto straight at Darui's chest.
Darui twisted mid-air, the blade shaving past his shoulder, and closed the distance. What followed was a dizzying display of Kenjutsu. Darui dominated the bracket, his heavy strikes forcing Kaien onto a desperate defensive mode.
Thinking fast, Kaien focused on the discarded blade behind Darui. With a sharp tug of his chakra, the flying tanto reversed direction, rocketing toward the back of Darui's forehead, where had placed them in the first exchange.
Sensing the danger, Darui swatted the returning weapon away with his heavy cleaver sword but quickly regretted as Kaien shifted the seal onto the cleaver sword. Kaien caught the deflected blade, used the momentum to leap backward, and launched both tantos high into the air.
As the blades spun overhead, Kaien thrust his palm forward again, this time targeting Darui's own weapon. He attempted to shake off the Darui's sword from his hands, but Darui clamped down with a white-knuckled grip. The sword didn't budge.
Kaien clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Fine. Plan B." Activating the same polarity seals embedded in his boots against the ground, Kaien exploded forward like a missile. Simultaneously, he controlled the seal on Darui's forehead to shift it directly onto Darui's chin while placing its polar opposite onto his own knuckles.
He was sped by the repulsion caused by same seals and punch became quicker by the attraction of the opposite seals
Darui reacted instantly, coating his blade in a crackling sheath of Lightning Release. He brought the sword towards Kaien's torso in a vicious horizontal slash meant to cleave Kaien in two. Kaien ducked beneath the lightning-charged arc, using the absolute momentum of his slide to pivot. Guided by the pull, his fist found its target. A devastating seal-assisted uppercut smashed squarely into Darui's jaw.
The force should have sent Darui flying, but Kaien wasn't done. He lunged forward, snagged Darui's heel mid-air, and dragged him back down to earth to set up a brutal spinning elbow. Anticipating the strike, Darui managed to cross his forearms over his face in a desperate guard.
Kaien smirked. With a thought, he re-routed the seals on Darui's body, forcing the mark on his arm to attract to his stomach. Darui's guard was forcibly ripped away, leaving his half of the face completely exposed.
Kaien's spinning elbow connected flush against Darui's ribs. He followed through instantly, driving a vicious knee into Darui's chest, and finished the sequence with a shattering roundhouse kick that sent Darui crashing into the dirt.
It was Kaien's own Muay Thai, amplified to terrifying proportions by his sealing jutsu.
Breathing heavily, Kaien recalled his dual tantos to his hands with a flick of his wrist. He pointed one blade directly at Darui's throat, resting the other casually across his own shoulders.
Darui lay on the ground for a moment, staring up at the sky. He let out a long defeated sigh. "I give up."
Kaien immediately sheathed his weapons and extended a hand to help Darui up. "D...Don't b...be," Kaien stammered. "Yo...ou ha...ven't u..used B... Bl...ack L...Lig...htning."
"Your taijutsu is like no other." Darui said guiltily at Kaien's stammering voice.

Above them, the spectators went absolutely wild at the spectacular clash between the Third Raikage's student and his own prodigal grandson.
In the stands, Chino grabbed the shoulder of the kid next to her, jumping up and down. "Hidan, look! Kaien actually won!"
Hidan threw his head back, laughing boisterously. "Ha! That is exactly how it's supposed to be! Anyone who manages to beat me better not be losing to anyone else!"
Yugito Nii watched with a surprised expression. Darui hadn't been holding back; he had used every ounce of his formidable skill except his signature Black Lightning, and yet the kid had still outmaneuvered him. "Interesting," she murmured.
Beside her, Guren kept her eyes locked on Kaien as a newfound fire burned in her chest. "So, that is his full power," she whispered, turning to face Yugito. "I need to get stronger. Yugito-san, when shall we start our training?"
Yugito gave a knowing smile. "Very soon."

Down on the arena, Dodai flicked to center who appeared directly between the two exhausted duo. He looked at both of them. "Is anyone injured?"
Darui cracked his neck, wincing slightly as he stood up. "I'll live. A few minor concussions, and I'm pretty sure my chin bone and rib bone or two is fractured."
Dodai turned his gaze to the boy. "And you, Kaien?"
"I've completely used up my chakra," Kaien replied, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Apart from that, I am fine."
Dodai nodded, raising Kaien's hand high to face the cheering crowds. "The winner of the match: Kaien!"
Another wave of cheers rocked. Dodai reached into his flak jacket and pulled out a band featuring a polished metal plate. He handed it over with an approving nod. "Kaien, you have officially become a Genin."

A/N: Kaien officially becomes Genin. Year 10 rankings: Kaien > Guren > KinGin ~ GinKin > Chino > Hidan.
The seal assisted taijutsu is very powerful with attraction and repulsion. But, throughout the fight Darui was dominating Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu but fell short on Kaien's Taijutsu skill not power and Genjutsu.
