Malcolm pulled her in and kissed her hard.
Iyisha's breath caught as she leaned into it, her hand gripping his shirt as his mouth pressed against hers, firm and steady. He didn't rush it. He held her there, lips moving slow, parting just enough to deepen it, and she felt everything else drop away except him.
He pulled back just enough to look at her.
"Can you feel it?" he asked, voice low and rough.
Her chest rose fast, her eyes damp as she stared at him.
She nodded, still dazed, her fingers trembling as she reached up and touched his jaw softly. "I feel it," she whispered.
He didn't say anything.
But something in his eyes shifted.
He pulled her in and kissed her again, slower this time, deeper.
Slower.
He never does it like this.
His lips pressed, parted, then pressed again as his hand slid from her waist up her back, pulling her body flush against his.
