Back at the Solace Book House, the enjoyable and lavish dinner had finally come to an end.
"Boss Han, let's go now!"
Paimon flew over impatiently.
Normally, after eating, she'd spend some time lounging around and digesting. But the thought of the miniature city waiting on the rooftop had her too excited to sit still.
"Alright, let's head up."
After confirming that Noelle had finished cleaning the table, Han Feng waved his hand.
In an instant, everyone appeared on the rooftop.
"Wow! There are so many miniature buildings!"
Noelle stared in surprise.
She had never expected something like this to exist on top of the manga shop.
There were even quite a few famous Mondstadt landmarks among them.
As a Mondstadter, she recognized them immediately.
"Hehe, not just Mondstadt! There are Liyue buildings too, and even island-themed ones. Lumine and I spent the entire day photographing them!"
Paimon puffed out her chest proudly.
"Wait... the nightclub you mentioned earlier isn't that little toy building over there, is it?"
Barbara pointed at the miniature nightclub and looked skeptical.
Had they really dragged her all the way up here just to play with toys?
She might not be an adult yet, but she wasn't exactly at the age to be playing with toy houses either.
Wouldn't Klee be a better fit for this?
"You'll see in a moment."
Paimon grinned mysteriously.
The buildings themselves weren't the important part.
The key was a certain gadget.
Thinking of that, she immediately looked toward Han Feng.
"Boss Han, we're counting on you!"
Smiling, Han Feng reached into his Four-Dimensional Pocket and pulled out a strange device.
He placed it beside the miniature city.
It was a peculiar tunnel with one large entrance and one tiny exit.
The larger side was about the height of an adult.
Its surface was white, decorated with blue and yellow patterns.
"What is that?"
Barbara walked around it curiously, examining it from every angle.
She had never read Doraemon, so she had no idea what it was for.
"It's called the Shrinking Tunnel. If someone enters through the large side and exits through the small side, both they and their clothes will shrink. Walking through it in reverse restores you to normal size. However, if you enter through the large side again, you'll become even smaller."
Han Feng explained with a smile.
"So that's how it works!"
Barbara nodded repeatedly.
Now she finally understood what Paimon had been talking about.
They weren't simply looking at miniature buildings.
They were shrinking themselves down to match them!
It sounded both fun and exciting.
Even Barbara felt eager to try it.
"Hehe! Let the great Paimon go first and show everyone how it's done!"
Without waiting for anyone else, Paimon eagerly flew into the large entrance.
"It's so dark!"
Inside the tunnel, she looked around curiously.
This was her first time using it as well.
Apart from a bright light at the far end, the entire tunnel was shrouded in darkness.
It felt a little strange.
"Never mind. I'll just hurry through."
She stopped sightseeing and flew straight toward the light.
The moment she emerged from the other side, the sudden brightness made her instinctively close her eyes.
After adjusting for a few moments, she opened them again and looked around.
"Wow! It really looks just like normal!"
Paimon's eyes sparkled.
The tiny houses around her had become much larger.
Before, she had only imagined what this would feel like while reading manga.
Experiencing it firsthand was something else entirely.
It felt incredibly fresh and exciting.
"Oh right! Boss Han and the others!"
Suddenly remembering the group behind her, she turned around.
The moment she did, she nearly jumped in shock.
Normally, Paimon was small, but she was still roughly one-third the height of an adult.
Now, however...
She was barely the size of an insect.
Han Feng, Lumine, and the others towered above her like gigantic titans.
If she had to compare it to something, it felt similar to looking up at Osial.
Thankfully, Paimon could fly.
After a great deal of effort, she finally managed to reach Han Feng's hand.
"Boss Han, you're enormous!"
Lying in his palm, she stared in amazement.
His face alone looked as large as a house.
"We're not bigger. You're just smaller."
Lumine crouched down and observed her carefully.
Even though she had expected something like this, the sight still left her stunned.
The gadget was unbelievably magical.
And seeing tiny Paimon sitting in Han Feng's palm suddenly reminded her of one of the most famous scenes from Journey to the West.
Sun Wukong trying desperately to escape from the Buddha's hand.
Paimon constantly failing whenever she challenged Han Feng felt oddly similar.
The comparison was so perfect that Lumine nearly burst out laughing.
"Alright, go have fun. Lumine and I will join you in a moment."
Han Feng smiled and gently shook his hand, sending Paimon flying away.
Then he took Lumine's hand and headed toward the Shrinking Tunnel.
A gadget this fun was something he definitely wanted to experience personally.
Soon enough, both of them had shrunk as well and appeared among the miniature buildings.
"So it really can make people smaller."
Noelle crouched down and looked at the tiny trio below, her face full of amazement.
Ever since following Han Feng, her understanding of the world had been shattered again and again.
"Miss Barbara, let's go too."
Seeing Han Feng and the others already wandering through the city, Noelle quickly stood up.
"Absolutely!"
Barbara had been waiting for this.
The two girls entered the tunnel and emerged as tiny figures themselves.
"This is incredible..."
Barbara looked at her own hands before gazing at the surrounding buildings.
Even now, she could hardly believe she had actually shrunk.
But after getting used to it, she quickly realized how fascinating this perspective was.
Everything felt fresh and new.
"Miss Barbara! Miss Noelle! Stop standing around and come over! We're going to have an amazing night!"
Paimon flew over excitedly and waved them over.
"Coming!"
The two girls exchanged smiles and hurried after her.
For the rest of the evening, Han Feng guided everyone through the miniature city.
They visited the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, the nightclub, the Jade Chamber, and countless other locations.
Everyone had an incredible time.
They played until well past midnight before finally calling it a night and heading home.
