Chapter 54 - 104

Chapter 104 The Former Blood Gate Knight

"Interrogation?" Arya was taken aback, then asked, "Is it interrogating the murderer who killed my aunt? I must go in and see what he looks like, and avenge my aunt."

After saying that, Arya drew the rapier "Needle" that Jon had given her with her left hand, her expression full of anger.

Donald, with his honest-looking face, felt even more embarrassed when he saw Arya's indignant expression, which seemed completely genuine. But considering the current situation in Eyrie, he shook his head.

Arya was surprised that even in her condition, Donald still refused to let her in, and she guessed that the situation in the Eyrie must not be very good.

She originally came to Eagle's Nest City just to see if she could borrow troops, but she had no confidence at all.

Now that he has learned of his aunt's death, judging from Donald's expression, the situation inside the city is probably quite complicated, and there may be an opportunity for him to take advantage of it. He is even more unwilling to give up the chance to enter the city.

Then she suddenly remembered something her mother Caitlin had told her: her great-uncle Blackfish Brinden had become a Bloodgate Knight at her aunt Lysa's place because of a conflict with her grandfather.

So she asked, "Do you remember Brynden Tully the Blackfish? He is my great-uncle and was once a Bloodgate Knight. Please inform the Eyrie that I am not allowed to enter the city. If I am not allowed to enter, I will leave!"

Upon hearing Arya mention Brynden the Blackfish, Donald's expression immediately became respectful. Brynden was the former Bloodgate Knight of the Eyrie, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he was Donald's teacher.

Brinden not only taught Donald formidable martial arts skills, but also taught him many strategies for marching and fighting, as well as techniques for leading troops.

Donald knew that Brynden came from the Tully family of Riverrun, and he probably also knew about the Tully family's marriage alliance with the Starks in the North, but he never expected that Brynden was Arya's great-uncle.

After listening to Arya's explanation, he hesitated for a moment and said, "I can only inform them for you. Whether they let you in or not is up to them."

After Donald finished speaking, Arya hurriedly nodded in agreement, secretly praying that the current head of Eyrie or her aunt's son Robin would let her into the city. Once she was in the city, she never planned to leave again until reinforcements arrived.

The situation inside the Eagle's Nest was different from before. Fearing that sending someone to report would not be taken seriously, Donald decided to go there himself.

As Donald rode through the Blood Gate toward the Eyrie, Arya secretly raised an eyebrow at Sandor, who immediately turned his head away.

Although he hadn't expected Arya to be able to persuade the Blood Gate Knight, he didn't want to see Arya's smug expression.

Inside a room in the Eyrie, members of the Righteous Alliance, composed of the three patriarchs of the Vale, are interrogating Littlefinger Petyr.

Lysa, the former Duchess of the Eyrie, accidentally fell through the moon gate in the center of the castle's top hall and was smashed to pieces.

As far as the servants knew, the only people in the hall with Lysa at the time were Sansa and Petyr, who had entered the Eyrie under the alias Alian.

Members of the Righteous Alliance suspect that Lysa did not fall out of the Moon Gate by accident, but rather that Petyr killed Lysa, who had just married him, in order to seize control of the Eyrie.

Young Duke Robin is young and suffers from epilepsy. After Lysa's death, her new husband Petyr will naturally become Robin's guardian and take over as the Vale's protector.

Furthermore, the League of Justice had always despised Littlefinger Petyr's character and strongly suspected that he was the one who pushed Lysa out of the Moon Gate, hundreds of feet above the ground in the hall.

As the only eyewitness, Sansa, using the alias Alian, was taken to a room by the Alliance members to identify Petyr.

At this point, Sansa had already acknowledged her identity as Eddard's daughter, Sansa Stark, drawing gasps of amazement from the members of the League of Justice.

Eddard, having grown up in the Vale as the adopted son of the Duke of the Eyrie and King Robert, who was also an adopted son, was very familiar with the Allied members.

Yorn, in particular, often went hunting with Ed and greatly admired Ed's character.

They were overjoyed to hear that Sansa was their old friend's daughter. They had also been deeply saddened by Eddard's death, and they never expected that his daughter, who was trapped in King's Landing, would come to the Eyrie.

After learning Sansa's true identity, they all accused Petyr of deceiving them and became even more convinced of Sansa's testimony. They reassured her to tell the truth and not to be afraid of Petyr's threats, assuring her that they would stand up for her.

After revealing her identity, Sansa continued, "Lord Petyr does indeed lie often, but..."

"Knock knock knock"

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Jon frowned. The guards outside should know that they were conducting an important interrogation, so why were they knocking on the door again?

He got up and opened the door, only to find that it was Blood Gate Knight Donald who was knocking. Jon couldn't help but feel a little worried and asked, "Sir Donald, is there a problem with the Blood Gate?"

Donald glanced at Petyr and Sansa in the room and said in a low voice, "Lord Yorn, the Blood Gate is fine, but there is a young lady outside who claims to be Arya Stark and wants to enter the Eyrie."

"Arya Stark?" Yorn exclaimed in surprise. He had just learned Sansa's true identity, and he hadn't expected that Eddard's other daughter would also come to the Eyrie.

"Arya? Lord Yorn, were you referring to Arya just now?"

Sansa wasn't far from the door, and although she didn't know what Donald had reported, she heard Jon's surprised voice.

"Yes, your sister Arya is outside the Blood Gate." Yorn did not hide anything.

"It really is Arya! I thought... I thought she was already..."

As she spoke, Sansa covered her mouth and burst into tears. Since her father was killed, she had never heard any news about Arya, and even Cersei had not been able to find her.

Sansa didn't know where Arya, a little girl, could have gone. The most likely explanation was that she had died in some unknown corner, otherwise even the King's Landing's golden robes wouldn't have been unable to find her.

She never expected that Arya would also arrive here so soon after she arrived at the Eyrie.

She suffered countless insults and terrors at Joffrey's hands in King's Landing, was nearly raped by a mob, and was forced by Tywin to marry Tyrion Lannister.

She didn't know what kind of life Arya was living outside, but she figured that as a little girl with no one to rely on, Arya must be in no better shape than herself.

Thinking of her father's head hanging on the gun barrel, her mother and brother who were almost murdered at the Red Wedding, and what happened to herself and her sister Arya, Sansa cried more and more bitterly.

When Lady Anya, a member of the League of Justice, saw Sansa weeping, she left her seat, went to her, and hugged her, gently comforting her.

"Send Arya into the city immediately!"

Seeing the heartbroken Sansa, Yorn couldn't help but feel sad for his old friend Eddard's family. Fortunately, the Freys' red wedding didn't go through, otherwise the Starks would be in an even worse situation.

Seeing Sansa crying incessantly, Littlefinger Petyr was surprised that Arya would arrive at the Eyrie at this critical moment and interrupt Sansa's testimony.
