When Achilles' mother, Thetis, dipped him into the Styx River in the hopes of making him invulnerable, she made a mistake holding him by the heel. That simple mistake created his greatest weakness.
Seven, an orphaned boy who lives on the outskirts of the grand imperial city of Bearnim, is a very worthless human being.
Consumed by the bitter guilt of having all 3 generations of his family executed on charges of treason of the highest degree, the King himself set them all to flames with his "Dragon Vein," although the rest of the imperial family spectated from a distance.
Seven is a short boy with messy curly hair that reaches his chin. He has unhealthy, pale skin and bags under his eyes.
He has nothing to his name and steals to make a living, or at the very least tries to steal, but most of the time he ends up being caught by the stand owners on the outskirts of the city.
He is feeble with no stamina and no endurance, but due to that, the people of the slums give him their pity and offer him the scraps and barely edible trash that comes their way.
"I thank you, Mrs.Sinclette," said Seven to the stand owner.
She scoffs and shoos him away. He understands her annoyance and leaves, making his way to his little tent on the far, far edge of the outskirts, where only the elderly and deathly sick stay.
When he gets there, he cringes at the state of the people he sees, although he's not much better than they are. Everyone in that hellhole is a worthless wretch who has committed some kind of crime or sin atleast that's what the imperial family says to its citizens.
"I miss you, June," Seven says, missing his dearly departed sister. He shakes this thought away and begins to eat his half-rotten apple and grey colored gruel that Mrs.Sinclette had gifted to him.
When you have insomnia, nothing is real. That is true in the case of Seven, He hasn't slept since "The Burning" which was 2 weeks ago nevertheless every night he tries to sleep only to be met by the screams of his Mother, Father, Sister, and Grandmother and the unsightly image of them being burnt to a crisp in a terribly beautiful golden and purple flame.
This night was like no other; the nightmare that had plagued him for 2 weeks had come and sent him into another fit of rage, depression, and despair. During the day, he lives in fear of the imperial army, and he fears the dead coming to him in his dreams at night.
He screams, and he turns, and he tosses and cries, and he yells, but it doesn't stop, it will never stop. He can never dare dream of revenge for his family. He is a slave to the powerful and rich, as are all the rest of the people in the slums.
The characteristic that differentiates the common people from "Nobles" is the ability of "Vein". A phenomenon born from those who have the blood of gods, deities, and other celestial beings. For example, the Kings' "Dragon Vein." Those of high status are born with a unique ability of their own, but not the common folk; the Nobles monopolized this power to become world leaders and rule over the planet "Yurnim"
After a very long night of agonizing visions and hallucinations the two suns in the sky have risen, The larger one being "Vun" and the smaller one being "VIN" , it is blazing hot and with heat comes smell and considering the state of the slums, the smell is not pleasant.
Seven awakes after a grueling night to an even more grueling heat, although he can hear the large buzz coming from the inner city. He immediately connects that sound to the inner city's nobles turning on their air conditioners at once.
"COME OUT, CRIMINAL, ON THE COMMAND OF THE ELEVENTH KING OF BEARNIM AND THE RIGHTFUL RULER OF YURNIM, HIS MAJESTY KING DRAGO," says a Officer of the imperial army, demanding seven to appear.
The sudden demand of the soldier awakens the people of the outskirts, who immediately flee at the sight of the 10-man force, all carrying swords and shields, clad in adamantite armor head to toe.
"HE WHO IS NAMED SEVEN, WE HAVE COME TO END YOUR LIFE AND RID THE WORLD OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY OF CRIMINAL SINS". Says the Officer
He then orders 5 of his men to search while the other 5 stay with him.
Seven, in his daze and state of confusion due to the beaming heat of the suns doesn't understand what is going on; to him, he's just hearing a lot of incomprehensible yelling.
But he gets a wake-up call when 2 imperial soldiers grab him out of his tent and drag him by his hair to the officer.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING? WHO ARE YOU? Seven questions desperately wanting answers.
"Shush, devil, I no longer want to hear you speak"
"BY THE DECREE OF KING DRAGO, I, OFFICER JIKO OF THE IMPERIAL ARMY, WILL CARRY OUT YOUR EXECUTION"
Fear pumps through Sevens' veins, all the hairs on his neck and arms stand on guard, and he begins to sweat.
"You got the wrong guy. I did nothing wrong." Seven pleas.
The officer tells his men to constrain Seven and constrict his movement by any means. In their sick pleasure, they unsheath their swords and cut off his right arm from the shoulder, then his left, then his right leg from the knee down, and then his left leg. All in a second, he went from a four-legged human to simply a torso and head.
The soldiers were quick, so quick in fact he didn't even feel his limbs being severed, but he definitely felt the aftermath, the near insanity inducing pain sent him into a deep state of panic and fear. He screamed and screamed until the officer kicked him in the mouth and sent him to the ground.
"I OFFICER JIKO WILL NOW EXECUTE YOU SEVEN"
In the blink of an eye, the world went in a circle for Seven; he was confused until he saw his body 6 feet away from him.
Then everything went to black until he woke up, and he stood on a mountain peak with nothing but clouds and air around him. The mountain peak was like a circle with a perfect inner circle of grass. The thing he was most concerned about, though, was his limbs; he was fearful to say the least, but alas, all four of his limbs were in perfect condition, as perfect as a roach such as him can be.
Then he heard a voice, deep and strong, so that it was all around him as if the person speaking was as big as the world itself.
"Seven, Son of Shadon, The Killer of light and Lumen, The Heavens Greatest angel, You have completed your mission"
In his utter confusion, He questions who "Shadon" and "Lumen are, but pushes that to his side when he sees that he has completed his "Mission".
"Hello? Uh? What mission?" He asks,
A black and white interface shows
"Harbor Rage Hate And Fear strong enough to snuff out the lights of stars"
"Reward: Erebus's Vein (True)"
"Reward: Zeus's Vein (Partial)"
Amazed by what he sees, he questions the voice.
"What do you mean by reward? Are those veins being given to me? But that's impossible, only nobles are born with them, and most certainly not with two? And what's with the "true" and "partial" stuff?
The world is silent for a minute as if it's computing an answer. It responds with.
"DESCRIPTION OF REWARD"
"EREBUS'S VEIN(True)"
"POWER OVER ALL THE SHADOWS IN THE WORLD AND THE DARKNESS IN THE UNIVERSE"
