Adrian was surprised by Gwen's boldness but he didn't back down and he leaned forward while he had to suppress an amused smile as he noticed the red that was overtaking Gwen's face.
"Gwendolyn… you didn't say anything about my confession…" Adrian whispered in Gwen's ears huskily as he nipped at her earlobe making her shiver.
" W-What do you mean?!" Gwen's fire was doused as she replied in a meek tone, her voice being a bit shaky.
Adrian tightened his hold over Gwen making Gwen let out a noise that resembled a squeak.
" I just poured out my heart over here… don't play dumb Gwendolyn…" Adrian said in a low husky voice that seemed to do wonders for Gwen who was feeling a certain kind of way , with the way he was whispering in her ears.
" T-Then what do you want me to do? " Gwen huffed in annoyance trying to hide her embarrassment.
" I don't know, you tell me ~ I just wanted to know if you were planning on friendzoning me again…" Adrian said with a smirk as he leaned down until their noses brushed against each other.
"What if I am?" Gwen asked back defiantly but instantly regretted when she saw the smile on his face disappear , but she couldn't say anything else as he moved back from her and she felt the arms around her waist vanish and Adrian disappear while she was left all alone on top of the building.
" W-Wait.." Gwen called in a panicked tone as her arms were outstretched as if she was trying to catch something.
Gwen's face paled as she felt like she had fucked up again, maybe her stubborness and reluctance to move past their current relationship made him tired of her ?
Gwen was too panicked to think of anything else as she assumed the worst. Adrian already had other people in his life that he cared about so he wouldn't need to cling to her.
She was the one who needed him and Gwen didn't want to lose Adrian.
Gwen's lips trembled as tears started flowing down her face despite her trying to hold it in.
She used her hands to wipe them but they just kept on pouring out making her cover her lips while she sobbed.
" You are such a cry baby~ " An amused but gentle voice floated into her ears making Gwen stiffen as she felt relieved and annoyed at the same.
"I-I'm *hic* not!" Gwen growled as she elbowed Adrian in the ribs while continuing to cry.
"Yes, Yes~ " Adrian said in a babying tone.
" Y-You are so mean , I hate you!" Gwen said in between sobs but didn't stop him from pulling her into his embrace.
"Well I was still feeling a bit petty about high school…" Adrian coughed in embarrassment as it was a bit childish of him to hold a grudge for such a long time.
" W-We were just kids! And it was 5 years ago! " Gwen cried as she pounded Adrian on his chest as Adrian rubbed her back soothingly.
" *Sniff* S-Since you hate me so much, I'm leaving! Have fun with your girlfriends! " Gwen said an angry and hurt tone as she tried to get up only for Adrian to pull her into his arms as she gazed at him with puffed up cheeks.
"L-Let go!.." Gwen said in a pouty tone as she glared at Adrian , she was really pissed by his prank since he made her feel like her whole world was crashing around her and the emotional roller coaster he made her go through wasn't fun in the slightest.
"Nope~ " Adrian said in a nonchalant tone accentuating the 'p' making veins throb on Gwen's forehead.
"Grrrrr…" Gwen growled her annoyance and anger overtaking her sadness and hurt feelings.
All of the images of Adrian flirting with other girls passed through Gwen's mind and she remembered the years she spent depressed because he got a girlfriend and just when she thought he broke up with her and became single , he went ahead and fucked that vixen Felicia.
If he wanted comfort so damn much then couldn't he have come to her ? How can a random girl compare to a childhood friend he knew for years!
But in Adrian's defence it was because she was his childhood friend that he didn't want to just use her for physical comfort or as a way to just forget and release stress but Gwen was too annoyed to think of that.
Then he became a pervert and started dating multiple girls at once and Gwen couldn't prove it but she was pretty sure there was something up with Emma.
All in all he had become a big pervert that made her angry whenever she thought about it.
Gwen gazed at Adrian's exposed neck and pounced as she chomped down on it hard.
