"Then what do you propose?" Mortaine asked, his grey eyes fixed on the Duke with the intensity of a man seeking direction from someone he still believed held the answers.
"We do not target Jack Kaiser," Asher said quietly. "We target everything around him. We starve him of resources while he is away. We eliminate his support structures. We bankrupt his allies. We ensure that by the time he returns to the capital, his world has collapsed beneath him, and it will have nothing to do with us."
