Generally, the Nine Witches were described as mysterious beauties who concealed their true appearance in some way. At least, that was how it was in the original story. However, for some reason, Qing Ying not only did not hide her beauty, but had also been personally sent to receive him.
Was the Demon Queen trying to use the Nine Witches to arouse his interest?
The famous beauty trap, capable of making any weak-willed man lose his mind?
What a joke.
Ren Zu admitted without difficulty that Qing Ying was absurdly beautiful, perhaps one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen in his life, comparable even to his own wives. Even so, for someone whose only goal was to achieve true immortality and who possessed a will forged by an "Indestructible Dao Heart," an extraordinary appearance, no matter how dazzling, would hardly be enough to shake his mind or influence his decisions.
Moreover, if the Demon Queen truly believed she could influence him through something so simple, then she was greatly underestimating him…
While reflecting on these matters, he traveled a great distance alongside Qing Ying, who remained completely silent throughout the journey.
The environment of the Kingdom of Soul Robbery was clearly different from the outside world.
The air felt heavier and deeper, filled with a strange and indescribable energy. Along the way, they passed several black Soul Halls that rose like dark monuments beneath the kingdom's dark sky. Only after crossing a vast stretch of territory did Qing Ying finally slow down.
Then, she rose about fifty meters into the air and landed softly on a massive dark floating island.
Ren Zu followed without haste.
The surrounding space in that region was silent and gloomy.
It was as if they were walking beneath an eternal night sky, where even light dared not linger for long.
The floating island spanned approximately fifty kilometers. There were no buildings, vegetation, or any signs of life. Apart from the three present, the entire place seemed completely empty.
Qing Ying finally stopped.
Then she slowly turned and faced Ren Zu.
"This is the Soul Heaven." Her voice remained as cold as before. "My master ordered me to bring you here. She will be with you shortly."
Ren Zu narrowed his eyes calmly, his expression remaining indifferent, yet somehow it felt… wrong. The surrounding air seemed to grow denser, as if space itself acknowledged his dissatisfaction.
"You are lucky that I am in a good mood today…" he said, his voice low and calm, yet carrying a weight that made anyone's heart tremble. "Otherwise, this Royal Realm would have been erased from existence for daring to make me wait."
Qing Ying visibly turned pale. Her elegant body trembled slightly, and she lowered her head even further, her voice coming out almost like a strained whisper:
"This humble servant begs forgiveness, Venerable… My master is properly preparing for the meeting with Your Majesty. She did not intend to disrespect you in any way."
Before the silence could stretch any further, a soft and melodious yet equally respectful voice echoed through the air:
"Please forgive my fifth sister, Venerable. She did not mean to offend."
The air vibrated slightly, as if the very darkness of the realm opened to make way. A female figure slowly descended from the sky, walking through nothingness as if the air were solid ground. Her movements were graceful, almost seductive, carrying a natural confidence that only those with absolute power possessed.
She stopped beside Qing Ying.
It was Ye Li, the Third Witch of the Kingdom of Soul Robbery.
Like Qing Ying, she made no effort to hide her peerless beauty.
Her face was delicate and harmonious, with soft lines that conveyed a natural elegance impossible to ignore. Her skin was flawless and fair, resembling polished white jade under moonlight. Her long hair flowed past her waist like a waterfall of black silk mixed with violet hues. The strands were smooth and silky, framing her face in an enchanting manner. Small silver ornaments decorated her head, along with a purple gem placed at the center of her forehead, further emphasizing her refined and noble appearance. Her eyes were large and slightly elongated, with violet irises that seemed deep and hypnotic. Long lashes enhanced her captivating gaze, while her perfectly shaped brows complemented the naturally elegant expression of her face. Her nose was fine and graceful, and her pink lips had soft, attractive contours, forming a combination capable of holding anyone's attention far longer than was prudent.
Her neck was slender and delicate, leading down to soft and well-proportioned shoulders. The fitted dress she wore clearly outlined her feminine curves. Her breasts were full and rounded, firm and perfectly proportioned to her body, creating an extremely alluring silhouette without appearing exaggerated. The dark fabric adorned with violet details elegantly molded her figure, enhancing her form even further. Her waist was exceptionally thin, creating a striking contrast with her bust and hips. The side slits of her outfit exposed part of her skin, revealing the smooth contour of her waist and side abdomen, which only increased her charm. Her hips were wide and well-defined, giving her a naturally seductive and harmonious figure. Her long, slender legs were partially covered by ornate robes, yet their elegant proportions were still visible.
"Third sister…" Qing Ying murmured, slightly bowing her head in greeting.
Ye Li did not respond immediately. Instead, she cast a respectful, almost reverent glance toward Ren Zu and bowed elegantly:
"Ye Li greets the Fierce Demon Venerable. It is an honor to welcome you to our realm."
Ren Zu observed the two witches for a moment before slightly furrowing his brows.
"Fine." His voice remained calm and indifferent. "As I said before, I am not that petty."
He paused briefly, his red eyes scanning the empty surroundings.
"But I may become… if the other sisters continue hiding."
Although his tone was casual, the meaning behind his words was clear. Ren Zu already knew that there were not only two witches observing this meeting. The others were hiding somewhere, watching everything from a distance.
And he did not particularly appreciate being observed without the courtesy of being acknowledged.
Ye Li visibly paled upon hearing those words. Her elegant expression lost color for a moment, but she quickly recovered.
In the next moment, the space around them trembled slightly.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Six female figures appeared almost simultaneously, positioning themselves beside Qing Ying and Ye Li. In just a few seconds, the Nine Witches stood aligned before Ren Zu, all with slightly lowered heads in respectful acknowledgment.
"Jie Ling greets the Fierce Demon Venerable."
"Jie Xin greets the Venerable."
"Yao Die greets the Venerable."
"Lan Ting greets the Venerable."
"Hua Jin greets the Venerable."
"Yu Wu greets the Venerable."
"Nanhuang Chanyi greets the Venerable."
Ren Zu crossed his hands behind his back and calmly observed the nine women before him.
First Witch, the twin sisters Jie Ling and Jie Xin; Third Witch, Ye Li; Fourth Witch, Yao Die; Fifth Witch, Qing Ying; Sixth Witch, Lan Ting; Seventh Witch, Hua Jin; Eighth Witch, Yu Wu; and Ninth Witch, Nanhuang Chanyi.
All the witches were gathered before his eyes.
As expected, none of them bothered to conceal their appearance.
And without exception, all of them were beauties capable of shaking the heart of any mortal.
Jie Ling and Jie Xin were identical twin sisters.
Twin sisters were not rare, but no matter how identical they appeared, there were always some differences between them. Normally, an expert could immediately identify such differences with spiritual perception.
Moreover, even if their appearances were exactly identical, their cultivation levels and auras would naturally differ as they grew. Anyone with sufficient spiritual perception should be able to distinguish between twins with ease.
But not only did Jie Xin and Jie Ling share the exact same appearance, clothing, and eyes, their life force and aura were also identical!
Even their steps and breathing were perfectly synchronized.
It was as if they were living mirrors of each other.
Their faces had delicate and harmonious features, with soft contours that combined elegance and femininity naturally. Their skin was flawless and fair, as pure as the finest white jade, without the slightest imperfection. Their long black hair flowed down their backs like shimmering silk waterfalls, easily reaching past the waist. Some strands framed their faces softly, further highlighting their refined beauty. Silver ornaments decorated their hair, forming delicate chains along the sides of their heads, meeting a refined jewel above their foreheads. Carefully crafted silver flowers completed the adornment, giving them a noble and exquisite appearance.
Their eyes were large and slightly elongated, carrying a melancholic beauty capable of lingering in anyone's memory. Their light-colored irises appeared deep and expressive, while long lashes cast soft shadows over their eyelids. Their thin, perfectly arched brows seemed drawn by a master artist. Their noses were small and elegant, perfectly harmonizing with their faces. Their lips carried a soft pink hue with gentle contours, exuding natural charm even when still.
Their necks were slender and graceful, leading to delicate shoulders partially exposed by white robes. Their well-defined collarbones added refinement to their appearance, while silver jewelry around their necks subtly drew attention to their décolletage. Their white dresses flowed elegantly over their curves, enhancing their silhouettes without appearing overly revealing. Their bodies had harmonious and balanced proportions, with thin waists transitioning gracefully into soft, well-shaped hips. Even beneath their long robes, it was clear both possessed tall, slender, and delicately curved figures. Every detail seemed perfectly crafted, conveying a sense of serene and almost unreal beauty.
Yao Die possessed flawless proportions, delicate and refined to the extreme. Her skin was smooth and fair like freshly polished celestial jade, radiating a purity without the slightest imperfection. Every feature seemed carefully sculpted by divine hands, achieving a harmony that bordered on absolute perfection. Her eyes were large and captivating, with golden irises resembling liquid amber under sunlight. Her gaze carried a tranquil yet irresistible depth capable of capturing anyone at first sight. Long dark lashes framed her eyes, while her arched brows created a naturally elegant expression. Her nose was fine and perfectly aligned, adding delicacy to her features. Her pink lips had soft, refined contours, exuding effortless femininity.
Her hair was perhaps one of her most striking features. Long black strands cascaded down her back like dark silk waterfalls, but among them flowed golden streaks like liquid gold woven into night. The contrast created a rare and fascinating combination, making her hair resemble a living work of art. Small golden ornaments secured parts of her hair, reinforcing her noble and majestic aura. Her neck was long and elegant, leading to delicate shoulders partially exposed by luxurious robes. Her collarbone added subtle charm, while a golden necklace highlighted her décolletage. Her golden robes clung smoothly to her body, revealing an extremely harmonious figure. Her bust was full and well-proportioned, perfectly balanced with her frame. Her waist was thin and graceful, creating a striking contrast with her bust and hips, resulting in a silhouette that embodied elegance, charm, and perfection in one form. Her hips were delicately wide and well-shaped, completing her rare feminine beauty.
Lan Ting possessed delicate and harmonious facial features, with a refined oval structure and impeccable proportions. Her skin was extremely fair, smooth, and even, resembling polished jade without any flaw. Her thin brows arched gently above large, expressive eyes with a crystalline gray-blue hue. Long, well-defined lashes enhanced her serene and captivating gaze. Her small, delicate nose aligned perfectly with her features, while her lips had soft contours with a natural pink tint.
Her hair was long and abundant, flowing far beyond her shoulders in soft waves. The predominant color was black, but strands of blue passed through it, creating an elegant and unusual contrast. Her hair framed her face gracefully, while parts of it were pinned with ornate silver accessories and turquoise gems. Delicate jewelry decorated her forehead, ears, and neck, enhancing her appearance without overshadowing her natural beauty. Her neck was long and graceful, leading to narrow and delicate shoulders. Her décolletage was partially visible due to her dress, revealing soft, well-defined collarbones. Her figure had elegant, proportional curves, highlighted by fitted robes that followed her body without appearing overly tight.
Her waist was thin and well-defined, creating an elegant silhouette that emphasized the contrast between her upper and lower body. Although her robes concealed much of her lower half, it was still evident that her body followed a harmonious and balanced pattern typical of legendary eastern beauties. Her arms appeared delicate and slender, partially hidden by flowing sleeves. Her attire consisted of elaborate light-blue and white robes adorned with golden embroidery and blue gemstones. The fabric looked light and luxurious, falling over her body with extreme elegance. Ornamental details on sleeves, waist, collar, and hair accessories reinforced her noble and refined appearance.
Hua Jin wore extremely unusual and colorful clothing that looked more like a collection of rainbow hues than a conventional outfit. Even her long hair displayed a myriad of colors, and she was constantly surrounded by a halo of shifting, fascinating lights. However, despite the profusion of colors and brilliance around her, nothing about her appearance conveyed disorder. On the contrary, everything about her evoked a dreamlike and enchanting beauty. Her face was as beautiful as finely carved jade, while her skin had the softness and delicate tone of the purest cream. Her lips were naturally red like rubies, and her bright eyes were undoubtedly her most captivating feature. Strange colors rippled within her crystalline irises, making her gaze both pure, mysterious, and fascinating.
Yu Wu appeared to be fifteen or sixteen years old, possessing a softer and more delicate beauty reminiscent of a young fairy or immortal princess. Her face had a gentle oval shape with soft feminine features. Her skin was extremely fair and smooth, resembling refined porcelain. Her thin brows were carefully shaped, following the natural curve of her eyes. Her eyes were large and expressive, with a soft reddish-brown hue, framed by long lashes that enhanced her gentle and slightly melancholic gaze. Her small nose and delicate lips carried a faint pink tone that complemented her overall softness. Her long hair was silky and abundant, falling gracefully over her shoulders and back. The main color was black, but pink highlights ran through it, creating a subtle and enchanting contrast. Part of her hair was styled into an elaborate arrangement held by silver and green jade ornaments, with small dangling accessories enhancing her noble aura.
Her neck was slender and graceful, leading to delicate shoulders partially exposed by her robes. Her décolletage was subtly visible due to the moderate neckline, revealing soft collarbones. Her figure had smooth and harmonious curves, perfectly proportioned. Her waist was narrow and well-defined by an ornate belt. Her body structure was slender and elegant, conveying a sense of lightness. Her arms were thin and delicate, with especially graceful hands and long, well-proportioned fingers that reinforced her refined appearance.
Her robes were made of pearly white fabrics with faint pink and silver reflections. Wide flowing sleeves draped softly over her arms, while pearl ornaments and jewels decorated her waist and garment edges, giving her an appearance worthy of an immortal from legends.
Nanhuang Chanyi had an elegant oval-shaped face with soft lines that did not diminish the natural authority present in her features. Her skin was extremely fair and flawless, as smooth as the purest jade. There was not the slightest imperfection, and her natural glow created a striking contrast with the gold and red tones of her attire. Her eyes were her most striking feature—large, slightly elongated, and adorned with refined red makeup, carrying an intensity that was impossible to ignore. Her irises were deep crimson, creating a gaze that was both beautiful and dangerous. Long lashes framed her eyes, while delicately arched brows enhanced her elegance. Her nose was small, straight, and perfectly proportioned. Her lips were soft, slightly pink, and naturally charming without being exaggerated. A small red ornament at the center of her forehead further distinguished her appearance.
Her hair was long and extremely voluminous, cascading down her back like a silky waterfall. The primary color was deep dark brown, but golden and reddish highlights ran through it, especially at the ends. Part of her hair was styled into an elaborate updo supported by a magnificent golden phoenix crown. The ornament was richly crafted, with fine chains, pearls, and dangling jewels emphasizing her elevated status.
Her neck was long and graceful, leading to delicate shoulders fully exposed by the cut of her attire. Her collarbones were visible and elegantly defined. Her décolletage was highlighted by the wide neckline of her dress, revealing flawless skin and refined femininity.
Her figure was harmonious and striking, enhanced by her fitted dress and elegant lines. Her curves were balanced and proportionate, forming a naturally attractive silhouette while still retaining the imposing presence of someone of her status. Her waist was narrow and well-defined, tightened by a wide red sash adorned with golden details.
Ren Zu slowly nodded his head, his red eyes calmly scanning the nine beauties lined up before him with a serene, almost bored indifference.
"Don't be so formal…" he said, his voice calm and deep, carrying a natural authority that did not need to be raised to be respected. "I did not come here to watch a ceremony of reverence. Stand up."
The witches obeyed almost at the same time, rising with flawless grace, though none of them dared to raise their gaze directly at him for long.
