Suddenly feeling the light around her grow brighter, Lumine realized that she and Kaito and the others had already come outside, which couldn't help but make her feel a little awkward.

Looking toward the direction the voice came from, Miko once again saw that same shrine maiden who had embarrassed her so badly before.
But perhaps because Kaito and her own puppet were right beside her now, this time Miko wasn't as embarrassed or nervous as before—instead, a faintly thrilling sensation began to stir in her heart.
"That's right. It's bad enough these two little foxes haven't fully completed their transformations, but they can't even speak. Truly, each generation is worse than the last."
After that shrine maiden walked over, Kaito, controlling the puppet that looked exactly like Miko, said this with a touch of helplessness.

Just as Miko was thinking about the puppet, that shrine maiden suddenly stepped right up in front of her, staring at her with great curiosity, calling her "little fox" with every breath, which made Miko absolutely furious.

Her gaze immediately shot toward Kaito beside her, and Miko silently stepped on Kaito's foot. She knew—Kaito was doing this on purpose.
"Understood, Lady Guuji. They really are two adorable little foxes." Nodding at puppet Miko, that shrine maiden turned back around to look at Miko and continued, "Cute little fox, may big sis pet you?"
The moment she finished speaking, that shrine maiden immediately reached out a hand toward Miko.
In response, the already-furious Miko, unable to say a word, simply slapped at the hand the shrine maiden had extended.
"What a fierce little fox." Hastily withdrawing her hand, that shrine maiden couldn't help but back away a few steps.
She didn't know why, but just now she seemed to have felt a wave of killing intent.
