"Wang Ge, what do you think of these breakfast options at the morning market?"
Liu Hehe curiously asked Wang Fan, "If you were the one making them, whose would taste better?"
Wang Fan replied while eating a fried cake, "They're all pretty good, and indeed reasonably priced with decent ingredients. If I made them, there's a high chance mine would taste better."
Liu Hehe was puzzled, "Are you going to add some special seasoning? Can simple breakfasts like these really have a difference in taste?"
Wang Fan nodded, "Take this fried cake for example. The crust is a bit overcooked; I could control the heat better, making it crispy without being tough. The layer beneath the crust is sticky but not completely soft. The bean paste inside has an industrial feel; hand-made would have a grainy texture and richer bean flavor. Plus, they added a bit too much rose jam, covering what little bean flavor there was. But for just one yuan each, this is already considered great value."
