Jiang Xinli instinctively looked back and saw Sheng Tianze clutching his chest. Blood gushed from between his long, pale fingers.
His face was ashen as he dropped to one knee. With a retch, he violently coughed up a mouthful of blood.
"You—" Jiang Xinli's pupils constricted. Without a second thought, she rushed over to him. "Ah Ze, what's wrong?!"
In just a few seconds, his snow-white shirt was soaked through with blood, clinging to his body and outlining the firm contours of his muscles...
"Lili... I'm fine." With blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, Sheng Tianze looked up at her gently.
He fought through the pain to force a smile.
"Lili, you finally called me Ah Ze again. I thought... I thought you were going to ignore me forever..."
Jiang Xinli's brow furrowed. She ripped open his shirt and immediately gasped.
Sheng Tianze's chest and arms were covered in a honeycomb-like pattern of tiny holes, with beads of blood oozing from each one.
