Jiang Xinli's heart skipped a beat. Realizing she'd spoken too hastily, she simply offered a calm smile, her eyes curving into crescents.
"Seasoned—I meant, with seasonings. Didn't Ye Kuo say yesterday that food from Ancient Earth has too many spices?"
The corner of Yue Hua Yin's mouth lifted into a faint, unreadable smile. "I see."
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Jiang Xinli asked, changing the subject.
Yue Hua Yin cracked an egg into a bowl, then handed the bowl and a whisk to her. "In that case, would you mind whisking the eggs for me, Female Master?"
"Sure!" Jiang Xinli took them and began to whisk diligently.
"Female Master, I think your whisking technique is a little off," Yue Hua Yin said, glancing at her. He turned down the flame on the stove and moved to stand behind her.
Before Jiang Xinli could react, he had already leaned down, his large, warm hand enveloping hers as he began to guide her.
