Still recovering from that horrendous pain and panic attack, Eiser walked slowly, following behind Arkas, stumbling on his feet. His breath, although now better abit, still brought the haunt of his past. His slicked back dark brown hair, that didn't lose their shape, even when he fought Tuskin, had let themsleves lose. They blinded the fury of his blue eyes that had now taken the color of a dark ocean. Leaning on a wall, Eiser miserably reached the room of Anastasia and Sandy. Yet instead of going inside he stopped. For his heart had just takenthe pain of guilt, he couldn't carry alone. He knew seeing Anastasia and Sandy, in the miserable states that they were after their battles, would only ache his heart even further. He couldn't bear to make all of them see that lowly side of his. For leaders are meant to be strong and independent. That thought teared him apart. The fear of seeing even more broken promises pierced his heart. It wasn't a victory but a phyrric, as it took away all of Eiser's inner peace.
That fear crawled on his body like a centipede or a tentacle ready to crush its opponent after grippling it firmly. Yet he had come thus far and couldn't have made them wait more. So he took some huge breathes and calmed himself. After wiping away his tears, did he go inside.
As he did, despite all his gloomy expectations, He was welcomed by a warm hug from Chloria.
"Thank Goodness!!"
She said, as she did, Eiser fidgeted, not knowing what to do, as his widened eyes met hers;
In the hospital bed she lay, though being covered in bandages, he noticed her far etched efforts. The pain she suffered from battling an opponent way out of her league, it ached him more. She was crucified, yet she was still the most beautiful being he ever laid eyes on. Her long hair, braided tightly, captured his eyes. His fingers testified, as they fidgeted. She wore a patients gown, Its rolled half sleeves, unnerved him. Allowing him to see the fraility of her thin arms. The V shaped neck of the gown made him see her sharp clavicles. Yet it appeared that her neck had taken away the sharpness from all parts of her body. For her face, that enlightened him; The chub it had due to her cheering smile; the dimple that followed it. Granted him inner peace. It also burned inside of him an ablaze to see her hurt. Although he had hardened himself. Yet even the most masculine man could not have escaped that warmth. That refreshing breeze made him a child again. So his eyes, his heart, his heavy head, couldn't take it in anymore; So the ice in his eyes melted and tears started to flow out of them. She blinded his senses, got a hold of them like a witch. Although Chloria had hugged him, Yet his grief, his guilt was so overpowering that it couldn't melt his avalanche. Yet the sight of her laying on that mildly comfortable bed, smiling even through all that pain; Bewitched his mind completely. His silent tears that had come out of his incompatibily; She made him believe in himself again. So he chuckled, with the tears. Carrying two emotions on his face at once. That was the hold she had on his emotions.
After hugging him, Chloria pat his head, as Eiser wiped his tears.
"You did good!"
She emphasized.
"Thank you!"
Eiser said as he walked to Ana. The cause of his smile; and the heat for his cold.
With a worried smile on his face, he crouched, as he went to her bed. Ana also chuckled. Not giving off a hint of exhaustion. Yet still, as Eiser put his hand on hers, its warmth, made her lose control.
Her controlled self crumbled. Her hair covered her face as she looked down, not meeting his gaze. She couldn't show him her teary face. For on the inside, tears had covered her face. Her tiny hands girpped his' firmly. Eiser took a gulp.
"Why are you crying?"
He said. It caught her off guard, so she looked up.
"You finally matched my eyes"
She suddenly hid her teary face.
Eiser chuckled, pat her had until her uncoordinated nerves calmed down.
All that had made Eiser's eyes teary again. He stood up. Ana peeked. She saw concern on his face. Eiser started to walk. Suddenly all eyes were on him. Eiser cleared his eyes with his fingers as he went to the next bed. He sat down again, scared to see Sandy's face — another one of his promises. This promise hurt him the most, for he had made it to himself, not to someone else.
As his hand reached for a sleeping Sandy, to see his face. He suddenly heard snores of deep sleep. It shocked him. He then walked to the other side of the bed to see his face. He did, and no tear shed from his eyes. For it was not because Sandy's state didn't sadden him, but that all that crying and guilt had made his self so vacuite. That there was nothing left inside of him. It just damaged him more. Yet he had decided, he gently pat Sandy's face.
"I am sorry"
He said, constantly.
As he brushed of his sleeping face.
All eyes were on him, but only Arkas seemed suspicious. He looked at Eiser intently.
Soon enough, the door to the room opened and a doctor, wearing black formal pants, a vase coat and a white long overcoat accompanied by a nurse came inside. He wore a stethoscope and looked abit worried. Eiser stood up upon seeing them. The Doctor greeted Chloriaand immediately went to check Anastasia's condition.
He went to Ana's bed and wore gloves. Then he created a water blob that started to float on top of hand. Everyone in the room was confused upon seeing that. Yet the Doctor, focused on his work, diligently pressed that blob onto Ana's body from head to foot. He checked that blob after and immediately deteriorated it.
"Ohhhh... Well that's great Miss Ana! It looks to me like your injuries are almost healed! Keep that up like that for me Please!"
He said, as he wore a smile behind the worries of his forehead.
The Doctor the went to Sandy's bed and repeated the process. Yet contrary to Ana the results were different.
"Hmmm..... This guy might take some time."
He said.
Eiser's heart skipped a beat and his eyes widened in worry as he heard that.
"Will he be alright?"
He uttered in a state of frenzy.
The Doctor, raised his chin up, glaring at Eiser, "Who are you?". He asked.
"Me? Uhh... I-i am Eiser. Ana amd Sandy's.... T-teammate? Ughh... Its because of me that they got this badly hurt! So Please tell me if they are going to be alright!"
He murmured.
The doctor smiled at this, it seemed as if the wrinkles on his forehead had gotten some closure.
"So you're Eiser, huh? I've heard about you from Captain Signet."
Chuckling, he pushed back his slim squared glasses, that gave him a proper Doctor's look.
"Dont worry, Dear! These children will get cured soon and would you mind if i could see you in my office soon? I've come here from Trankava you see!"
He said.
Eiser, hearing the Doctor's thoughts. Didn't waste a second and agreed on spot.
The Doctor, then stretched his arms outward and then out them in his coat's pockets.
"Shall we go then?"
He asked.
"Of course!"
Eiser replied as they both went ahead into the Doctor's room, leaving the nurse, that came with, behind with the patients.
