This was Yang Tao's evaluation of his dungeon run.
He stretched out a finger and flicked Victim, the 'angel' who had become a 'wild monster,' away. This guy was one of the few in the Great Tomb of Nazarick with a positive karma value, albeit only 1 point.
Now that he had lost the Great Tomb of Nazarick, he had become a 'wild monster.'
It really was: made by setting, ruined by setting.
The other individual with a positive karma value was Sebas, the butler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, but he must have been assigned elsewhere, as Yang Tao didn't encounter him today.
Yang Tao, using Ainz's identity, thoroughly looted the entire Great Tomb of Nazarick.
Those so-called divine artifacts could be sent back to the blacksmiths for practice. However, Yang Tao wasn't impressed by their flashy effects, though he could take inspiration from the equipment designs.
As the saying goes, a person leaves a name, and a goose leaves a sound. When Yang Tao passed through, he naturally had to pack everything up and take it with him.
This trip was truly fruitful; at least, Yang Tao was very satisfied with it.
Leaving the now completely worthless deep pit, only ruins remained, not even prompting Yang Tao to consider cleaning it up.
"The Overlord world seems to have no value anymore…"
All that was left were the Theocracy and the Kingdom, and now, things there were also in complete chaos.
Although he had already sailed the battleship back to the 40k World, the appearance of such a miraculous creation made those frogs in the well realize that this world was far larger than they had imagined.
Overworld.
Upon returning, Yang Tao immediately dumped all the equipment he had collected into a box, then walked aside and began to examine the two mods he had obtained.
Draconic Evolution was simple; he just needed to collect materials according to the crafting table. However, he searched for a long time and still couldn't find any new items related to the Tinkers Construct upgrade mod.
"Tinkers Construct Upgrade… No, that's not right. Tinkers Construct Extension, Tinkers Construct Expansion, Tinkers Construct Alloy Addition, Tinkers Construct Augmentation, Tinkers Construct Supplement… (dozens of mods dependent on Tinkers Construct 2) I don't seem to have heard of a Tinkers Construct Upgrade mod…"
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Yang Tao.
"Wait, could it be Tinkers Construct Tool Upgrade??"
Missing those two words makes a world of difference.
Before having this mod, the previous Tinkers Construct tools would not have an experience system.
Only tools newly crafted after installing this mod would have an experience system.
Now, what Yang Tao needed to do was take the War Lance in his hand, replace the grip to 'refresh' the weapon's status, which would also activate the experience system.
This mod adds an experience system to tools. For each level gained, an additional reinforcement slot is acquired.
Whenever you use your tool appropriately, it gains experience.
For example, mining blocks with a pickaxe, attacking creatures with a sword.
The key to Tinkers Construct's balance lies in the limited reinforcement slots of its tools. Using this mod means you are abandoning that balance.
But… what Yang Tao wanted was imbalance; he even felt it wasn't enough.
Looking at the new entry that appeared on the War Lance in his hand, Yang Tao smiled.
Clumsy Void Gold War Lance.
Gains an additional reinforcement slot with each upgrade. The experience required for the next level is double that of the previous level, and most importantly, there is currently no set limit.
"This growth rate is so abnormal, even I find it outrageous!"
The War Lance in his hand whistled, the sound of air being torn apart hurting the eardrums. The Draconic Evolution mod was temporarily cast aside.
"Yang!"
Yang Tao stopped his movements and looked at Eric somewhat puzzled: "What's wrong?"
"The M.E.G. people are looking for you. They said they encountered some trouble and it seems they need your help…"
The M.E.G. people asking for help? That's rare!
Normally, they were self-reliant and would almost never proactively seek help. The fact that they came to him for help this time clearly indicated they were in big trouble.
He put away the weapon in his hand and said with a smile: "Eric, the M.E.G. people are lucky. I just finished what I was busy with. Did they say what kind of trouble they encountered?"
Eric nodded lightly and said: "Yes, it's the ocean. All the levels that M.E.G. frequently reaches, any level with an ocean, has experienced some problems. Some aquatic Entities have started becoming restless and are attacking people on land…"
Hearing the word 'ocean,'
Yang Tao's heart skipped a beat, and he cautiously asked: "Did they mention anything about the sea level dropping?"
Eric looked at Yang Tao in surprise and said: "They did, indeed. According to investigator reports, the ocean in Level 7: Thalassophobia is exhibiting an extremely abnormal vortex…"
Suddenly, Eric also remembered what Yang Tao had said before.
The Backrooms levels and the ocean have some mysterious connection. Eric looked at the somewhat embarrassed Yang Tao and asked: "Do you know why?"
"Uh, if I'm not mistaken, it should be because of me. I placed some things that absorb seawater in Level 7: Thalassophobia, which might have stimulated the Entities in the Backrooms' ocean…"
Yang Tao had completely forgotten about the Energy Collector MK3 he had placed at the bottom of the sea. If the M.E.G. people hadn't mentioned it, he might not have remembered even if he had drained the Backrooms' ocean dry.
Eric: "..."
"By the way, did the M.E.G. people say what kind of help they wanted from me?"
Eric smiled and said: "They want your help to investigate the anomaly in the ocean. Who knew the main culprit behind the anomaly was right here…"
Eric paused, then continued: "What should we do? Go tell them you don't have time?"
Eric's idea was simple: since Yang Tao needed seawater, it meant it had a purpose, and he wasn't an ungrateful person, so Yang Tao's interests naturally came first.
"No, it's just a little bit of energy. When I have time, I'll go to a world with a universe and absorb a few uninhabited planets; it'll be the same."
Although Yang Tao wasn't a good person, he also didn't want to see humanity suffer because of him.
"However, Eric, tell the M.E.G. people that I will solve the problem, but they should owe me a favor."
If there are difficulties, help them. If there are no difficulties, create some and still help them.
Eric immediately understood Yang Tao's meaning and said with an admiring expression: "There's no end to learning. In that case, Yang, I'll go tell the M.E.G. people. But you'd best wait a day or two before resolving this matter, lest the M.E.G. think it's just a coincidence."
Upon hearing this, Yang Tao, who was about to go to Level 7: Thalassophobia to dismantle the Energy Collector MK3, also stopped and gave Eric a thumbs-up, saying: "You've become bad too… But there's no need to wait two days. As long as I solve this problem in the Backrooms in front of the M.E.G. members, they will owe this favor whether they want to or not!"
"Indeed, it has to be you!!"
Then the two exchanged smiles.
"Alright, I'm going to wander around the Backrooms to let the M.E.G. know that I'm indeed going to do something serious."
"Okay, then be careful."
With that, Yang Tao walked towards the transfer station.
