Chapter 525 - LOD Chapter 522: Visit Calderon Again

Darkwill gave a sheepish smile, quick-wittedly grabbing Harry the owl, who was about to say something, and pressing the outspoken, foolish bird back onto the counter.

Emlyn pouted, but didn't press the issue. He had only come here tonight to find Mr. World, and it was by chance, as he was leaving, that he caught this fellow preparing to advance to a noble Sanguine, so he helped out of consideration for Mr. World.

Without further delay, Emlyn's body blurred, tinged with light red, transforming into a hazy moonlight that vanished into the night, leaving behind a Darkwill filled with envy.

Ignoring the commotion outside, in the deepest secret room of the folk herbal shop, Klein, wearing the face of the ruthless adventurer Gehrman Sparrow, frowned as he looked at the specially purchased mirror. After waiting for a long time with no result, he wiped away the symbol for summoning Arrodes.

"This mirror might be in some special location, and a one-way summoning ritual cannot target it…."

As he thought this, a familiar prayer suddenly reached Klein's ears.

Melissa… Klein's expression subtly shifted. He immediately put away the mirror, leaving two demigod puppets to guard, and quickly reversed his steps four times to arrive above the gray fog, where he heard the complete prayer.

"Roselle's second son, the Blessed of that deity, has left the Church of the God of Steam and Machinery and is even going to teach Melissa?"

Quickly summarizing the key points of the prayer, Klein's expression turned strange as he lightly tapped the bronze long table. He was both surprised that Aaron's secretly accumulated power had already connected with the Church of the God of Steam and Machinery, and somewhat uneasy about the reason for this fellow transmigrator's generous gift to Melissa.

"Ultimately, I am still too weak. The Bizzaro Sorcerer potion is only a tiny bit away from being fully digested. I need to obtain the subsequent potion formulas as soon as possible…."

Taking a deep breath, Klein, in The Fool's tone, comforted Melissa. He habitually swept his True Sight around the herbal shop, and after finding nothing unusual, he returned to reality.

Backlund Bridge area, Horamick silently gazed at the streets illuminated by gas streetlights in the distance, then suddenly shifted his gaze as if sensing something.

Under the crimson moonlight, the elegant evening gown demigod, who had left long ago, quietly reappeared. Her gaze from beneath the golden mask strangely scrutinized Horamick for a moment, and she spoke in a clear, cold voice:

"Archbishop, please follow me."

As her words fell, behind her, an illusory Door made purely of ethereal blue light emerged.

Drawing a triangular holy emblem on his chest, Horamick directly chanted the honorific name of the God of Steam and Machinery in ancient Hermes. Only then did he calmly step into that Door.

Accompanied by ethereal blue light and a slight sense of weightlessness, Horamick found himself within a magnificent and solemn palace. The familiar murals made him realize that this was Sodela Palace.

Following his spiritual intuition, Horamick looked towards the depths of the palace, towards George III, who sat on the throne wearing a crown. The moment his gaze met those indifferent eyes, an indescribable sense of terror nearly overwhelmed him.

Looking at the somewhat discomfited Horamick, George III's lips curved into a mocking arc. Although this body was still the illusory form used to deceive outsiders, the will that descended through distorted order was a genuine King of Angels.

Having given the Archbishop a show of power, George III stopped, his deep, majestic voice seeming to cause the splendid murals within Sodela Palace to be covered in spiderweb-like shadows:

"State your purpose!"

Horamick opened his mouth, his eyes somewhat hollow, and the triangular holy emblem he wore suddenly erupted with a faint, clear light, shielding him from the distortion George III had secretly applied.

Horamick, his mind restored to normal, his expression subtly changed, but he dared not say more, only revealing the oracle he had received in St. Serlan Cathedral.

Limited by the demigod level, terms like Outer Deity in the oracle were replaced by indescribable words, but this did not affect George III's understanding.

After accurately understanding the situation in the Astral World, especially after sensing the drawing-in intent released by the God of Steam and Machinery, George III's lips couldn't help but curve again.

Outside Sodela Palace, beside the towering Bell of Order, Adam, dressed in a simple white robe and wearing a silver cross pendant, looked down with indifferent eyes. His pale golden eyes seemed to reflect everything, and he raised his right hand, using his finger as a pen, sketching something in the air.

-----------------

Deep within the Spirit World, Calderon City.

The orange-red light symbolizing twilight enveloped the spiritual sky, and the outer areas, swallowed by gray-white mist, were left with only collapsed pale giant pillars.

Aaron scrutinized Calderon, which had been used as a shield to face the God of Combat's wrath once, and his will manipulated the part of the Underworld authority that was integrated into the Abyss of Ferrying within the embryonic divine kingdom.

The previously extremely resistant intangible force receded, and behind Aaron, illusory light suddenly erupted, instantly collapsing inward to form a pair of double-opening bronze Doors.

The slightly illusory surface of the Door was covered with countless mysterious patterns. As an indescribable deathly silence permeated, a crack appeared in the Door.

Through this crack, Aaron directly saw the deepest and most profound river in the heart of Calderon, a river that seemed to flow through a lightless night.

"Calderon has been further eroded by that tributary of the River of Eternal darkness. The order of this former divine kingdom has been completely distorted. Simply opening the Underworld Gate can directly connect to that tributary."

Aron keenly detected the change in rules. He did not retreat. Although the Nation of Disorder could not currently compare to the River of Eternal darkness in terms of completeness, a Sefirah was a Sefirah. Without needing to worry about corruption, a mere tributary could not stop him.

From the Nation of Disorder, he took out the strange wolf-headed, snake-bodied statue made by the Evernight Goddess. Aided by the protection of the authority of concealment, Aaron quickly restrained the Sefirah's aura and passed directly through the mutated Underworld Gate to the underground core of Calderon.

Although his primary purpose for coming this time was to retrieve water from the River of Eternal darkness again, Aaron was more interested in exploring whether he could use this Sefirah, which had been eroding reality for a long time, to find a weak point in Celestial Worthy's seal and seize the opportunity to infiltrate the Western Continent in reverse.

With this thought, even though he heard the faint, illusory gurgling of the river, Aaron did not immediately act. Instead, he ignored the deathly silence that could turn everything into undead and continued to delve deeper towards the convergence point of the gray-white tide.

After an unknown amount of time, Aaron once again saw the dark, illusory tributary, where countless figures lingered. His True Sight swept over the tributary, which was permeated with gray-white mist, but he did not find the previously most prominent two generations of Death.

Have they sunk into the true River of Eternal darkness? Or… Aaron frowned, not approaching further. Instead, he took out the magic mirror Arrodes.

Having finally escaped the alternate space opened by the Crown of Stars, Arrodes, who had been scared half to Death by the God of Steam and Machinery's divine descent avatar, froze in mid-air before he could offer his flattery.
