Chapter 52 - Fault Line

BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN

"Fault Line"

A Fan-Made Episode Script (Original Story)

COLD OPEN

EXT. BELLWOOD DAM — NIGHT

Floodlights blaze across a massive concrete dam holding back a dark reservoir. Sirens wail. Cracks spiderweb across the dam's face, glowing faint orange at the edges — not normal structural damage. Something is burning through solid concrete from within.

MAX TENNYSON stands at a safety barrier with a Plumber crew, watching in grim disbelief as another crack splits wider, venting a hiss of superheated steam.

MAX

(into comm)

Whatever's tunneling through this dam isn't natural erosion. Something's actively boring through eight feet of reinforced concrete like it's wet sand.

BEN, GWEN, and KEVIN arrive at a sprint, Kevin's car screeching to a halt nearby.

GWEN

(scanning, alarmed)

If that dam fails, the flood wave hits three residential districts in under ten minutes.

KEVIN

(already moving)

Then we've got less than ten minutes. Let's move.

BEN

(grim, slapping the Ultimatrix)

On it.

ACT ONE

[TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE]

Green light wraps him. His body bulks into something heavy and mechanical, thick drill-like forearms locking into place, rocky plating layering across his frame.

BEN (AS ARMODRILLO)

(booming, voice resonant)

Armodrillo! Alright. If something's drilling through my dam, two can play that game.

He slams both drill-fists into the cracking concrete, boring downward at speed, tunneling alongside the spreading damage to track its source.

INT. DAM — INTERNAL MAINTENANCE SHAFT — CONTINUOUS

Armodrillo bursts through into a narrow internal shaft, lit by the eerie orange glow of the advancing damage. Ahead, the source reveals itself: a massive, segmented, magma-veined creature, easily twenty feet long, boring steadily through structural supports with glowing claws, utterly indifferent to the dam collapsing around it.

ARMODRILLO

(grim)

Okay. That's not erosion. That's lunch.

The creature doesn't react to him directly — fully focused on chewing through the next support beam, sending a fresh shower of orange-hot debris into the shaft.

ARMODRILLO (CONT'D)

(over comm, urgent)

Found it. Big, hot, and completely focused on eating its way through load-bearing supports. I don't think it even knows it's about to flood half the city.

GWEN (V.O.)

(over comm)

Then don't fight it where it can drop the ceiling on you! Get it OUT of the structure!

Armodrillo grabs for the creature's tail — and it whips around fast, far faster than its bulk suggests, slamming him into the shaft wall hard enough to crack concrete around his own body.

ARMODRILLO

(grunting, sliding free)

Yeah. Strength alone isn't gonna cut it in a tunnel this tight.

ACT TWO

Armodrillo backs into a wider maintenance chamber, the creature pursuing, clearly agitated now that something's interrupted its meal.

[TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE]

Green light. His frame shifts, growing leaner but more aggressive, fur sprouting in patches across orange-striped skin, a feral snarl curling across newly elongated features.

BEN (AS RATH)

(roaring)

RATH! Let me tell you something, Magma-Tunneling-Concrete-Eating-Dam-Wrecking-Creature-Whose-Name-I-Don't-Know-Yet —

He charges, claws extended, meeting the creature head-on in a full, snarling collision, raw aggression matching its raw bulk blow for blow.

RATH (CONT'D)

(mid-brawl)

— nobody flattens an entire neighborhood on MY watch!

The fight is loud, fast, and almost entirely improvised — Rath trading wild blows with the creature through the cramped chamber, both of them cratering walls and support beams alike.

KEVIN (V.O.)

(over comm, alarmed)

Ben, you're literally helping it knock the dam down faster!

RATH

(grunting, dodging a swipe)

WORKING ON IT!

A particularly hard exchange sends both combatants crashing through a wall into a flooded lower chamber, water already seeping in from a fresh crack above.

EXT. DAM — RESERVOIR SIDE — SIMULTANEOUS

Gwen and Kevin work frantically at ground level, Gwen weaving stabilizing mana-lattices across visible cracks while Kevin reinforces weak points with absorbed concrete and rebar.

GWEN

(strained, holding a lattice in place)

I can buy time on the cracks I can see, but if that thing's still tunneling deeper, this is just delaying the inevitable!

KEVIN

(bracing a support)

Then somebody needs to actually pull it OUT of the dam, not just brawl with it inside the thing we're trying to save!

INT. DAM — FLOODED LOWER CHAMBER — CONTINUOUS

Rath surfaces, soaked, the creature thrashing nearby in the rising water, clearly more comfortable here than expected — steam hissing where its magma-veined hide meets the cold water.

RATH

(coughing, realization dawning)

Wait. It's not trying to drown. It's cooling off. This thing runs hot — like, actually hot. That's probably why it started tunneling in the first place. Looking for somewhere cooler than wherever it came from.

He glances at the Ultimatrix, already flickering.

RATH (CONT'D)

Then let's give it cooler, somewhere that ISN'T load-bearing.

[TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE]

Green light. His feral, furred frame smooths into something sleek and amphibious, gill-like fins spreading along his neck, skin shifting a deep electric blue, crackling faintly with contained energy.

BEN (AS AMPFIBIAN)

(fluid, confident)

AmpFibian! Perfect. Water AND electricity. Let's see how you like a proper cooldown.

He dives into the flooded chamber, generating a controlled, swirling current charged with mild electrical current — not harmful, just startling and deeply unpleasant for an overheated creature trying to relax.

AMPFIBIAN

(calling out, half-amused)

Hey! Free shock therapy! This way, big guy!

The startled creature, more annoyed than truly threatened, bolts away from the charged water — directly toward the breach Armodrillo originally tunneled, drawn instinctively toward the open path rather than deeper into the structure.

AMPFIBIAN (CONT'D)

(triumphant)

There we go. Sometimes you just gotta make the inside less appealing than the outside.

ACT THREE

EXT. DAM — OUTER FACE — MOMENTS LATER

The creature bursts free through the original tunnel-breach, scrambling out onto the dam's exterior face, steam rolling off its hide in the cool night air — but the damage is done. Multiple structural cracks groan wider all at once, the dam visibly beginning to buckle under its own compromised weight.

GWEN

(horrified)

It's not stopping! The whole structure's destabilizing now that the supports it was eating through are fully gone!

KEVIN

(bracing himself)

Tell me there's a plan C that doesn't involve everyone downstream getting very wet very fast.

Ben, having shifted back briefly mid-chase, slaps the Ultimatrix one final time, already moving toward the buckling dam face.

BEN

(grim, determined)

There's always a plan C.

[TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE]

Green light EXPLODES outward. His frame surges in size, skin hardening into thick gray plating, horns erupting, a spiked tail ripping free.

BEN (AS HUMUNGOUSAUR)

(booming)

Humungousaur!

He SLAMS both massive palms against the buckling dam face, bracing the entire structure bodily, muscles straining as cracks groan under the sheer pressure of holding the whole thing together by force.

HUMUNGOUSAUR

(straining)

Okay! Definitely buying us time, but this isn't a permanent fix!

GWEN

(scanning, urgent)

The internal supports are too far gone! Bracing it externally only holds so long!

Humungousaur grits his teeth, glancing at the Ultimatrix symbol, already flickering rapidly with the pre-Ultimate stutter.

HUMUNGOUSAUR

(determined)

Then let's stop holding it together and start actually fixing it.

[ULTIMATE TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE]

The Ultimatrix symbol SNAPS open on his straining chest, mechanical petals deploying and locking across his already-massive frame. His body bulks further, armored plating layering over gray hide, twin shoulder-cannons unfolding, skin shifting to deep blue-gray lined with crackling orange energy.

BEN (AS ULTIMATE HUMUNGOUSAUR)

(deep, resonant, steady despite the strain)

Ultimate Humungousaur!

Still bracing the dam with one massive arm, he angles his shoulder-cannons downward into the compromised internal structure itself, firing precise, concentrated concussive blasts designed not to shatter, but to fuse and compress loosened rubble back into a dense, load-bearing mass.

ULTIMATE HUMUNGOUSAUR

(grunting with effort)

Come on... hold...

Section by section, the compressed rubble knits back into something stable enough to bear weight again, the worst of the cracks sealing under controlled, repeated concussive pressure rather than wild destructive force. The structure's groaning slowly steadies into silence.

Ultimate Humungousaur finally releases the dam face, stepping back, chest heaving, watching the structure hold.

ULTIMATE HUMUNGOUSAUR

(exhaling)

...Yeah. That's a temporary fix, but it'll hold till the actual engineers get here.

Behind him, the previously overheated creature, now fully cooled by the night air and several gallons of dam-adjacent water, curls up contentedly on a rock outcropping nearby, utterly unbothered by the chaos it caused.

KEVIN

(staring at it, exasperated)

It almost flooded half the city and now it's just... napping.

GWEN

(checking scanner, tired laugh escaping)

To be fair, it probably has no idea it almost flooded half the city.

TAG SCENE

EXT. BELLWOOD DAM — LATER

Dawn breaks. Engineering crews and Plumber teams swarm the dam, inspecting Ultimate Humungousaur's emergency repairs. Ben, back to human, sits on a safety barrier with Gwen and Kevin, all three soaked, scorched, and thoroughly exhausted. The cooled creature is loaded gently into a specially insulated transport.

MAX

(approaching, looking between them and the dam)

Four transformations and a structural rescue mid-collapse. I'd call that a new personal record.

BEN

(half-laughing, utterly drained)

Pretty sure I say that every other week now.

KEVIN

(stretching, soaked jacket dripping)

In my defense, the Rath phase made things worse before it made things better.

RATH (FLASHBACK, V.O., OVERLAID BRIEFLY)

(distant echo)

NOBODY FLATTENS A NEIGHBORHOOD ON MY WATCH!

GWEN

(smirking)

You say that like it wasn't the most fun part.

BEN

(grinning, glancing at the Ultimatrix — calm, green, quiet again)

Max chuckles, shaking his head, heading off to oversee the rest of the engineering crew. The three watch the sunrise fully break over the dam, structure standing, city safe, water finally calm.

FADE OUT.
