Cherry stared at the man for a moment, then quickly picked up her cellphone that was on the side table and checked the call history. And Cherry pursed her lips when she saw Gilbert was the one she had called earlier.
"I-I didn't mean it. I didn't know the call connected to you. I just pretended to be talking to someone because that animal man was following me earlier," Cherry reasoned with the man. "I-I already gave a statement to the police, and that's what I said. If you want to check it out," Cherry said, sitting up in bed and crying.
After being so scared all night, now he was facing her anger so Cherry felt like she suddenly exploded. She cried loudly like a river that never stops flowing.
