"MISS Cherry, Mister Ace Carter said to meet you tomorrow at the Regional Trail Court at 8AM."
Cherry quickly typed out a reply to Mister Miller. "Okay, I'm going, Mister Miller."
When she put down her cellphone, Cherry felt her chest tighten. This was what she had wanted to happen all along but why did she suddenly feel like there was a sizeable gap in her heart?
Cherry sat there for a moment, just staring into space before getting up and going to the bathroom to take a shower.
As the warm water rushed over Cherry's naked body, she felt a bitter taste on the corner of her lips.
She knew it wasn't from the shower water but from the bitter words that had come out of Gilbert's mouth earlier.
In his eyes, he was just a toy and nothing more.
Luckily, she hadn't completely sunk into the quicksand yet. But the memories that Gilbert gave her were something she would never forget in her entire life.
