After being discharged and receiving the prescribed medication from the doctor who examined Cherry, she promptly left the hospital.
While walking, she called her friend Abby, her former roommate at the boarding house. It took three rings before Abby answered the call.
"S-Sis, can I stay with you for now?" Cherry asked with a frown, feeling like she had nowhere else to go.
"Of course! Where are you? I'll have my boyfriend pick you up," Abby replied promptly.
Cherry felt touched by her friend's immediate and unconditional support.
"N-No, it's embarrassing. I'll just take a taxi," Cherry insisted, as Paco was far from her current location.
"Okay, when you get in, note the license plate number and send it to me. It's late and you're a girl; it's safer this way," Abby reminded her.
Cherry felt touched by Abby's concern, as she had shown herself to be a good person during their time together at the boarding house.
