"I still have a meeting. Go home alone," Gilbert cut her off coldly.
Leila clenched her fists. She came on her father's behalf but didn't expect Gilbert Ace Carter to brush her off like this. Their families were old friends.
Her eyes filled with tears. "Gilbert, our families have been close for years. Why are you treating me this way?"
Gilbert stared at her blankly. He knew those tears were fake, and they disgusted him.
