Chapter 81 - A Peek

"So you're telling me they want a vacation that's why they all went to Earth?"

Leon inquired while dilating his pupils, his jaw opened. Lisa gently bit her lips before exhaling, nodding gracefully with a smile like a child. Leon hissed furiously, leaning his head onto the sofa before letting a deep sigh, covering his mouth before sighing. Next, he pinched the area between his eyebrows.

Iris who was sitting beside him watching her husband this disappointed pat his thigh gently, offering her sweet smile.

"They are kids in the end.. Every kid wants a family.."

"I'm not saying they shouldn't go, they could have at least informed me before departing.."

Leon stared at the ceiling with a straight poker face, not even blinking.

"AHEM!"

Lisa cleared her throat to get their attention.

"So.. uh.. Should I–"

"Yap it off."

Lisa tilted her head down before lifting it up again, making a pleading face while also not looking at them.

".. Go to Earth?"

Leon's head got dumbfounded with this statement. So much that it unconsciously almost dumped onto his wife's chest but she held him up at the last second.

"I– I wanna quit, can't believe this is my student.."

He murmured, she gently placed his head over the sofa.

"I think it's not that bad.. She will watch over them as they are newly awakened Astrans, they don't have enough control over their powers right now, so she'll just watch them and intervene only when necessary."

Leon's eyes were still unfazed, nevertheless he got up on his back, glaring at Lisa who was a bit nervous. Seeing this, he declared nonchalantly.

"Fine.. But choose a time limit."

Lisa was amazed, a slight curve form over her cheek before she came into her senses.

"A week."

She responded, with a pause.

Leon swiftly got up, he did it a bit too fast so a small pop sound could be heard. Iris got up after him, he adjusted his collar though it seemed like he was thinking of an outcome. Lisa got up as well, copying them.

"You can go.."

He stated, before disappearing to thin air. Lisa was thinking whether she heard it right or not. Iris chuckled, before coming to her.

"You know how much of a poker face he acts outside, he is actually a plushie in his heart."

She continued with her usual cheerful cheeks.

"When your parents were here and you were small enough to be in our arms, only he was the one who never held you, fearing you would fall."

She acknowledged, kneading Lisa's palm.

".. I know."

A small curve formed over her cheek, though she didn't look at Iris.

Moments Later...

It was raining gently right now, walking on a bridge all alone was a girl with an umbrella in her hand to not make her gorgeous casual red dress wet. She was viewing the landscape from here, though this wasn't the first time she had come to Earth.

But she usually concealed herself from human gaze, now.. This wasn't the case.

"Miss! Should I drop you home?"

A stranger in a car stopped to invite her. She looked here and there to see nobody around so this was confirmed he was talking to her. She sighed.

"It's okay I can go myself."

She said respectfully, lowering her head so he couldn't see her eyes.

"Well.. didn't you hear the news? The weather will intensify more, I'll just drop you to your nearest stop."

"I said I can go myself.."

Lisa tilted her head towards him, seeing her crimson eyes which looked like rubies. Because of the weather and the fog here it looked like they came from a lost legend of a witch.

The man's expression quickly went awe, frightened as he kicked the accelerator pedal and drove away. Though he didn't say anything, Lisa's lips curved to a smirk.

"That felt nostalgic.. like those days.."

Those days when the people of your town declared you as a witch because of your unique overwhelming beauty and you never stepped foot outside of the mansion for 100 years...

~ I need to find them.. Hmmm... let's see...

She paused her steps, closing her eyes to concentrate her vision in her mind.

~ First let's start with you..

***

Raining.. It was still raining but it was as if the storm had gone, sitting on a bench in a park all alone. A girl with light grey eyes was sitting there, she had an expressionless face like she was lost in her mind. She didn't care about the rain ruining her beautiful dress as she was staring at the unknown.

Suddenly she felt a warm feeling as the water droplets stopped falling on her, puzzled she looked around to see a young man with an umbrella covering her from the rain. This was someone she knew very well..

"You will get a cold if you stay like this."

Ender spoke with a gentle expression, his voice usually calm and low.

"Does it really matter? When the person who was everything to you died."

Sara's words made him perplexed as he sat beside her. She coughed a bit before continuing.

"N– Now I understand what you felt that day.."

This made him even more yet he took a deep breath before inquiring.

"What are you talking about? Elaborate."

"When I reached my apartment. I found my clone and my mom dead on the floor in the kitchen. The bodies were like this for so many days that they had started rotting."

Sara answered with a blank expression. Meanwhile Ender was shocked to hear this, his lips quivered.

"D– Do you know that it was a natural death or..."

Sara nodded off with a no, she didn't know what caused this terrible outcome. Ender grunts before he gives the umbrella to her, though she was urging she didn't want it. He somehow persuaded her to take it.

"Why do you really... come here?"

She said while adjusting the umbrella. This made him pause for a moment..

"Oh... Well I need to clear some things here. Just give me a few days and it'll all be alright."

He said with an exaggerated smile, a warm smile... Sara's expression subconsciously softened with him strolling away.

***

Zack was staring at his dead self on the floor who had his chest blasted apart though it was Zack's big sword which he stabbed him through.. To give him salvation..

His father, seeing this, swallowed a lump in his throat. Zack turned his gaze towards him. His face looked very innocent like a child, as he stared at his own father.

CLANK!

The enormous metal fell on the floor as he dashed towards his father and embraced him. For a moment they stayed like this, silent and sharing no words to each other.

Zack cried on his father's shoulder.

".. I wanted to see the world.."

He took a deep breath before continuing.

"I wanted to see the world with us.. With my mother.. me and you.."

Theodor scrubbed his son's hair.

"Just wait a bit longer.. your mother will wake up one day... then we will see the beauty of this world..."

"This world is cursed too much, its beauty here... I wish there was a world where there would be nothing but beauty and peace.."

"The world was always conflicting with conflicts, it is our choice in the end to see the beauty or see the destruction."

Zack stayed silent, squeezing his father into his arms a bit more..

"I'm sorry... Dad."

SRIP!

Somehow the blade which was resting on the floor was now in Theodor's chest. Zack somehow had the authority to make his blade come towards him by command.

He had stabbed his own father, his expressionless face. Blood spread over Theodor's lips, his hands covered in his own blood. He was completely startled by this..

"I wish... If there was another world.. where we could be together again.. I could give atonement for my sins.. Then... I will be with you and mom again... In every world..."

Zack pulled out the blade, he could see his father's expression.. It was... Acceptance..

THUD!

Zack stayed like this for a few moments, having an expressionless face.

"I did it.. I give my father salvation.. Salvation from this cursed world.."

He mumbled, looking at the ceiling.

"AGHHHH!"

He collapsed to his knees, screaming with all his might, he did it again and again.

"AGHHHHA!"

He cried, slamming his forehead to the floor.

After some minutes, he stopped crying. In this moment, he heard a voice, a familiar voice.

".. Zack?"

He reflexively turned around, at the entrance was standing a girl with crimson eyes and an umbrella, wearing a red dress. Though, her expression seeing the scenario, her skin went pale, all kinds of emotions which portrayed deep shock.

Zack sighed, turning his head away from her.

"No one knows this side of me, this merciless and monster side.. You're one of the exceptions.."

"W– Why? Why did you do this?"

She muttered, taking deep breaths like she was witnessing hell here.

"I have no choice.. my life is always like this.. Every decision I made was all fate.. There was never a choice of mine.."

Lisa went quiet, while Zack stared at the blood in his armour gloves. His own father's blood. Before splashing the blood on his cheeks. Taking deep breaths, smelling the blood for a few seconds.

".. Do you want to know why I did this?"

He said, still lost in himself. Lisa sat down on her knees beside him, her pure innocent dress wrapped in blood. She nodded reluctantly. Zack bit his lips like he didn't want to say these words.

"...You have the power to see through your mind, everything right? That's what curtain is about... then see through me, because I don't have strength to tell my story.. Gaze at your vision in my story..."

Hearing these words in a deep tone, Lisa asked with a pause.

"You sure?"

Zack nodded with acceptance. She sighed, as she was about to place her palm on his head, he suddenly screamed. Sparks of fire like energy emerging from his body.

"NO! THIS WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING!"

In a split second, the fallen sword on the floor was in his hand. Lisa somehow reacted fast enough to make a distance between them, shocked. He covered one eye with his other hand where blood could be seen from dripping from his gloves. His other eye was darkening up as blood was also pouring from there as well.

"Spirituality instability..."

A whisper could be heard from Lisa's lips.

"Forgive me Zack.."

Her crimson eyes glowed as Zack swung his sword, unleashing a huge slash of fire like energy against her. She extended her both arms in a special unique pattern. The attack which Zack fired seemed like it was traveling but it never reached her.

She changed her hands pattern, as the scattered fire disappeared to thin air.

Puzzled, Zack clenched his teeth. By this moment, both his eyes became deep black. He jumped before using both of his arms, declaring.

"Disperse!"

But the unleashed fire never came out, like it was sealed. When his feet touched the ground, he was flabbergasted. He couldn't feel the usual energy he always felt in himself.

"I didn't want to do this.."

Before her words could pierce the air, the space itself moved. For an indefinite time, she was in front of him. Before he can react, she pokes the pressure points on his neck. Collapsing him to the floor. Unconscious..

She stared at his closed eyes, expressionless before kneeling down.

"You wanted this.."

Closing her eyes.. She pushed her palm over his forehead.

Moments Later...

DING-DONG!

"Who's it?"

"Zack's classmate."

The door opens, it was Anne Harry's wife on the other side of the door while Lisa, this time wearing a modern outfit with Zack on her arms, standing outside, Zack's state was so bad like he had been drinking non-stop since last night.

"I was heading home and on my way I found him collapsed on a bench."

"Ohh.."

Anne grabbed him, escorting along with Lisa. As they laid him on a TV launch sofa.

Lisa's outfit was a bit wet too though but what Anne didn't know she had just moved space for her to come here, just standing for some time outside made her modern outfit a bit wet.

Zack's missing case was covered up by his father as no one really knew what really happened to him. In response to his father's statement that he and he had gone for vacation.

Anne was surprised to see Lisa because Zack was one of those guys who literally brings his friends here sometimes.. But she didn't think about it much because she was just a classmate like she stated and Zack himself.

"Where have you been!?"

She embraced half conscious Zack on the sofa, sitting beside him while Lisa was on the other side. She took a deep breath before getting up.

"Where are you going? Don't want some tea?"

Hearing this question, she politely stated.

"I'd like to stay, but I really need to get going. My dad is waiting for me and I promised I'd be back early."

Anne gets up, Lisa was quite tall for a girls standard; almost an average man height, just missing an inch.

"Oh.. I should be sorry, this boy is really a fuss sometimes.. Do you want an umbrella?"

"Nope! My place isn't that far.."

She got going, before she was about to go. Anne inquired one last question.

"At least tell me your name.. I will be grateful to you."

Lisa paused, thinking should she say or not, at last, she mumbled, glancing at Anne.

"Lisa.."

Before getting along. Closing the door gently. Anne at last second could see those red rubies gleaming over her eyes. Indeed, they were very addictive, the kind of addiction that even if you stared at her eyes for eternity, it still wouldn't be enough..

"Who was it!?"

A man's voice could be heard from upstairs as Anne was a bit lost because of what she had seen. She didn't respond. Then the man footsteps can be heard coming downstairs. Seeing his wife lost, he patted her shoulder.

"Anne?"

The spell broke as she turned her head towards her husband. Exclaiming with excitement.

"Oh DEAR! You can't believe who has just come here.. She was so pretty; also very tall.. And her eyes.. Her eyes.. Were so dazzling. Like I was lost in a spell.."

"You're telling everything about her without telling about her.."

He said, nonchalantly.

"Ah! She was Zack's classmate."

"Zack?"

He checked his surroundings to see Zack dozing off on the sofa like a child.

"WHAT!? HOW!?"

"I was surprised too though.."

She wondered, scratching her chin.

***

The rain had stopped for now but the dark clouds were still there as if it could start at any moment. No one was present in the street right now except for a girl wearing a golden red dress. Standing in front of a pretty big house. It was Misha...

She was lost in herself, thinking she should even go though she knew her other self was there or maybe somewhere, she didn't know how to see through it or to access her vision.

– Do you want to see through her?

It was her inner voice asking her, she bit her lips.

~ I used concealment so no one could see me until my way here... I will just watch them from the shadows..

She exhaled a deep breath, surprisingly her dress wasn't very wet, only the part which was contacting the wet floor. She stared at the house, before disappearing into thin air.
