Trafalgar opened his eyes and looked toward the door. He had been too far inside his own thoughts to catch anyone coming up the corridor, and that alone narrowed the field, because most of House Morgain never troubled to announce themselves anywhere they reckoned they had the right to be.
A maid was possible, though he doubted one would come uncalled. Whoever stood out there had knocked properly and waited instead of pushing the door open, which left very few people he could picture doing it.
"You can come in, Lysandra."
There was a short pause before the handle moved. Lysandra came in and shut the door behind her, out of the clothes she had worn arriving and into something plainer, with a sword still at her hip. She took in the room before her eyes came to rest on him.
"You guessed that quickly. I was starting to wonder whether you had developed some new way of seeing through doors."
