Chapter 101 - A Little Effort

Chapter 101

Aryan reached the hospital and entered Aanya's room.

The moment he saw her, he looked around.

"Where is Aunty?"

Aanya looked at him.

"She went home."

Aryan looked at her with concern.

"You're alone?"

"No. My friends were here until now."

Aryan nodded and didn't say anything.

After a moment, Aanya looked at him.

"Did you come here last night?"

Aryan nodded.

"Yes."

Aanya paused for a moment before asking,

"Did you call Tara?"

"Yes."

Aanya looked at him suspiciously.

"Are you hiding something from me?"

Aryan remained silent for a moment.

Then he finally said,

"I filed a police complaint. And the auto driver was caught yesterday."

Aanya's eyes widened.

"What? Why didn't you tell me?"

Aryan looked at her.

"It's not that I didn't want to tell you. I wanted to tell you after you were discharged."

Aanya simply looked at him without saying anything.

Aryan sighed.

"I'm sorry."

Aanya looked at him.

"I should have told you earlier."

Aanya looked away.

Later, Radha and Naveen arrived at the hospital.

Just then, Aryan's phone rang.

He answered the call and stepped outside the room.

While he was talking, Radha and Naveen arrived.

Aryan noticed them and ended the call.

"I'll talk to you later."

Naveen stopped him.

"Aryan babu, we want to tell you something."

Aryan looked at him.

"What happened, Uncle?"

Naveen looked apologetic.

"Please forgive us, Aryan babu. We were rude to you yesterday."

Aryan was surprised.

"Uncle, what are you saying?"

Radha stepped forward.

"Yes, Aryan babu. Please forgive us. We were just worried about Aanya, and because of that, we became angry."

Aryan smiled slightly.

"Aunty, please. There's no need to apologize to me. I understand why you were angry with me yesterday. And it's absolutely fine. I know you were worried about Aanya. That's all."

Naveen still looked guilty.

"Even so, Aryan babu… we're sorry about yesterday."

"Uncle, please. Don't apologize."

That Night

That night, Aryan was in the hospital room with Aanya.

Aanya suddenly woke up.

She looked beside her and saw Aryan sleeping.

She quietly sat up and looked at him.

For a few moments, she simply admired him.

Then she noticed that he wasn't covered with a blanket.

Aanya slowly got out of bed, carefully checking whether Aryan was awake.

When she was sure he was still sleeping, she picked up the blanket and gently covered him with it.

She looked at him for a moment before slowly getting back into bed.

Aanya closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

A few seconds later, Aryan slowly opened his eyes.

He looked at the blanket covering him.

Then he looked at Aanya.

A small smile appeared on his face.

The Next Morning

The next morning, Aryan spoke with the doctor about Aanya's discharge.

After finishing the conversation, he returned to her room.

Aanya was sitting on the bed.

She was about to put her feet on the floor when Aryan noticed that she wasn't wearing her shoes.

"Wait a minute, Aanya."

Aanya looked at him.

Aryan picked up her shoes and walked toward her.

He bent down and was about to put them on her feet when Aanya looked at him in shock.

"What are you doing?"

"Putting your shoes on."

Aanya immediately looked away.

"I can do it."

Aryan looked at her.

"Can't I do it?"

Aanya looked at him for a moment but didn't answer.

Aryan gently cleaned her feet and carefully put her shoes on.

Aanya quietly watched him.

She couldn't help but admire how carefully he was taking care of her.

After putting on her shoes, Aryan looked up at her.

Aanya immediately looked away.

"Give me your hand."

"I'm fine, Mr. Aryan. I don't need your help."

Aanya slowly stood up and began walking.

Aryan didn't argue.

Instead, he quietly walked beside her, keeping his hands close to her in case she lost her balance.

Aanya noticed it but didn't say anything.

After a while, they finally reached home.

As soon as they entered the house, everyone came near Aanya to welcome her.

Aanya looked around the house, taking everything in.

Even Max came running toward her, happily wagging his tail.

Aanya smiled and gently patted his head.

Nandini smiled and said,

"Welcome home, Aanya."

Aryan immediately looked at Nandini seriously.

Nandini noticed his expression and became silent.

Aryan then turned toward Aanya.

"Let's go to the room, Aanya."

Aanya nodded her head.

Aryan gently helped her and took her to their room.

That Night

Everyone was sitting in the living room.

Devika looked at Aryan.

"Aryan, what should we do?"

Aryan looked at her.

Devika continued,

"You told us to send the wedding invitations, but I don't think it's a good idea anymore. I mean, look at Aanya's condition."

Aryan didn't say anything.

Prerna nodded.

"Yes, Bhai. I think we should postpone the wedding. I mean, even Aahil's family doesn't have any problem with it."

Aryan finally spoke.

"But Aanya is having a problem with it."

Everyone looked at him.

Aryan continued,

"She doesn't want the wedding to be postponed because of her."

Devika looked at Radha.

"You tell him, Radha ji. I mean, my daughter-in-law's health isn't good, so how can we—"

Suddenly, they heard a voice.

"What happened?"

Everyone turned around.

It was Aanya.

Aryan immediately stood up and walked toward her.

"Do you need something?"

Aanya shook her head.

"No. I just came normally."

Aryan looked at her.

"Come, sit."

"Yeah."

Aanya walked over and sat down.

Then she looked at everyone.

"Well, what are you guys talking about?"

Devika immediately looked at Aryan.

Aryan answered,

"Nothing."

Aanya raised her eyebrows.

"Nothing? I heard Aunty talking about Prerna's marriage."

Everyone became silent.

Aanya looked at Devika.

"Aunty, please don't worry about me. I'm absolutely fine. Look at me."

Prerna looked at her worriedly.

"But, Bhabhi—"

Aanya cut her off.

"I'm fine, Prerna. Please don't worry about me."

Prerna became silent.

Then suddenly, Aanya's expression changed, and she became excited.

"Well, I should try on my dresses too! I also have to select my jewelry."

Aryan looked at her and smiled.

He couldn't help but feel relieved seeing her excitement.

Chapter 102

The next day, Aryan suddenly received a call from one of his men.

He stepped outside to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Sir, this Kunal is creating so much nuisance. He won't stop shouting."

Just then, Kunal shouted loudly in the background, making sure Aryan could hear him.

"Aryan! Please let me go! I beg you! Please! I did nothing, and I promise I will never come near Aanya again!"

Aryan listened for a moment before saying coldly,

"Seriously? Shut his mouth first."

He ended the call.

As soon as he turned around, he was shocked to see Aanya standing right in front of him.

"Aanya! When did you come?"

"Just now. Aunty is calling you for lunch."

Aryan immediately composed himself and acted normal.

"Oh, okay. Let's go."

He was about to walk past her when Aanya stopped him.

"Whom were you talking to, Mr. Aryan?"

Aryan suddenly stopped and looked at her.

Aanya stared at him.

"Are you hiding something from me?"

Aryan hesitated.

"Well… the thing is, I told my men to capture Kunal."

Aanya looked confused.

"What? Capture? Your men?"

Aryan nodded.

"I told them not to release him."

"But, Mr. Aryan, what is all this? I mean, what was the need to do this?"

Aryan looked at her.

"Why did you capture him?"

Aryan raised an eyebrow.

"Seriously? So you want me to hug him and forget everything he has done?"

Aanya gave him a look.

Aryan continued,

"Because of him, everything happened!"

There was a brief silence.

Aanya sighed.

"When did I say that? I'm just worried about you, Mr. Aryan. What if the police find out that you captured him and locked him somewhere?"

Aryan remained calm.

"I have my contacts."

Aanya became silent for a moment.

"Okay. Do whatever you want."

She turned around and walked back inside the house.

Aryan rolled his eyes and followed her.

"Aanya, please wait."

Aanya continued walking until she reached their room.

She stopped, turned around, and looked at him.

Aryan looked at her, confused.

"Look, I don't know why you're upset."

"You don't know?"

Aryan became silent.

Aanya looked at him angrily.

"Mr. Aryan, you're hiding everything from me."

Aryan frowned.

Aanya continued,

"You didn't tell me that you called Tara. You didn't tell me that you captured Kunal. And you also didn't tell me that you filed a police complaint."

Aryan tried to explain.

"Well, Aanya—"

"No, Mr. Aryan."

She cut him off.

"I know why you didn't tell me."

Aryan looked at her in confusion.

Aanya's voice became emotional.

"Because you still think I'm a kid."

Aryan stared at her.

"What?"

"You think I'm too immature to understand everything, right? That's why you didn't tell me anything."

"No, Aanya, that's not—"

"I know, Mr. Aryan."

Aanya shook her head.

"Even when I proposed to you, you said I was immature. And you still think the same about me."

Aryan was completely confused.

"Aanya, what are you talking about?"

"I hate you, Mr. Aryan."

She turned around and walked out of the room.

Aryan stood there, completely stunned.

He had no idea what had just happened.

Later that night, Aryan tried to talk to Aanya.

But Aanya didn't even look at him.

She quietly went to bed and fell asleep.

Aryan didn't bother her and let her sleep peacefully.

The Next Morning

Aanya woke up the next morning.

Suddenly, Aryan entered the room carrying a pizza.

Aanya looked at him in confusion.

Aryan sat beside her and smiled.

"Aanya, I made a pizza for you."

Aanya looked at the pizza.

It looked really good.

She then looked at Aryan, wondering if she was dreaming.

Aryan excitedly held the pizza toward her.

"Come on, Aanya. Try it. I made it specially for you."

Aanya looked at him suspiciously.

Before she could say anything, Aryan picked up a piece and gently put it in her mouth.

Aanya's eyes widened in shock.

She looked at him, then slowly started chewing.

Her expression immediately changed.

The pizza was actually delicious.

Aanya smiled and took another bite.

Aryan eagerly asked,

"How is it?"

Aanya took another piece and ate it.

While chewing, she asked,

"Mr. Aryan, did you really make this?"

Aryan suddenly became nervous.

"Why? Is it not good?"

Aanya burst out laughing.

"Not good? Mr. Aryan, it is so good!"

Aryan's face immediately brightened.

Aanya continued eating.

"I really didn't know you could cook this well, Mr. Aryan."

Aryan smiled.

"I mean, even when I tried making pizza for the first time, I couldn't make it properly at all. But you made it so perfectly. Seriously, you're great, Mr. Aryan."

Aryan smiled at her.

But suddenly, his smile disappeared slightly, as if he was hiding something from her.

He quickly changed the subject.

"Well, I remembered when you prepared pizza for me and I threw it away."

Aanya stopped eating.

"Yeah…"

She looked at him in surprise.

"You still remember that?"

Aryan smiled softly.

Before Aanya could say anything else, Prerna suddenly entered the room.

"Bhabhi, how was the pizza?"

Both Aanya and Aryan looked at her.

Aanya smiled.

"It's so good, Prerna."

Prerna nodded teasingly.

"Hmm… well, Bhai never made pizza for us, but he made it for you."

Aanya smiled.

Aryan immediately looked at Prerna.

"First, you leave the room."

Prerna laughed.

"Bhai, I was just joking!"

She continued,

"I mean, Bhabhi, Bhai has been in the kitchen since morning. He was watching pizza recipes and trying them, and he didn't let anyone enter the kitchen."

Aanya looked at Aryan.

Prerna continued,

"He didn't take either my help or Mom's. And Mom was shouting because he made the kitchen a complete mess. After so many attempts, I mean…"

Aryan's expression became nervous.

Prerna continued without noticing.

"He burned the whole pizza the first time, and then he added way too much cheese—"

Aryan quickly walked toward her.

"Prerna, you can go now. Give us some privacy."

Prerna looked at him and laughed.

"Oh, okay. I'll go."

She turned around and left the room.

Aryan slowly turned toward Aanya.

He could already tell from her expression that she had figured everything out.

Aanya tried hard to hold back her smile.

"So, Mr. Aryan… how many attempts did you make?"

Aryan looked at her innocently.

"Well, Aanya…"

He gave her his most innocent expression.

Aanya couldn't hold it anymore.

She burst out laughing.

Aryan simply looked at her and smiled.

For a moment, he just admired her laughter.
