After reaching that conclusion, I couldn't help but shake my head in hope of shaking that ridiculous thought off my mind, but it seem that since it appeared, it had planned to stay .
I wasn't able to shake it off no matter what, I also couldn't help but wonder if there were other similarities between me and him .
I couldn't help but note that we both wanted to achieve completely different things, he wanted to rule this world and I wanted to be unrestrained by anyone in this world, complete opposite to each other .
But by a twist of fate perhaps, we both were trying to implement similar plans to achieve what we wish for, he infiltrated the Human race and was appointed as a King and ruled a large region and currently I was doing almost the exact same thing .
Trying to infiltrate the Demon race and delay their plans as much as I could, in the process, the success of my plan required that I hold an Influential position, at least I need to unite half of the 13 Founding Demon Families under my command .
Becoming a king was the shortest route possible to achieve this in my opinion, but to become King I need to either challenge the current King and him accepting the challenge for the throne, or being appointed by the Demon Emperor .
After he get a sniff about what I was doing, I very much doubt that he wouldn't ask Devo to deal with me directly, even ordering the heads of the other 12 Founding Families directly to help him with taking me down .
As for challenging Devo, well.., unless I'm able to trick him somehow into accepting my challenge and convince him of his chance of winning, I don't think he would be willing to do so anytime soon .
My attack on the Levern was to see how would he react and to force him into making any kind of move, but it seem that I had unsettled him strongly, he really left the Levern to die, this also meant that after today, he will be even more guarded against me .
It seem that to become a King, I will need to depend on those guys who wanted to join me in an alliance, to reach my goal I might need to stage a coup with their help and then and only then I might be able to force him into accepting my challenge finally .
So in the end, I would actually say that we indeed are using similar methods to reach our goal, me and that demon emperor, after accepting this weird line of thought, it actually began to disperse from my mind by its own accord .
It just magically disappeared as if it hasn't occupied my mine for the last half an hour or so, I couldn't help but sigh again at the weird things that kept on happening to me lately .
After I seemed to have finished contemplating, I finally was able to see the shadow of the familiar yet not completely familiar family mansion, I kept on circling around the city and evading those teams patrolling till I finally found it .
My speed picked up and I directly dived towards that family mansion and planned to land inside its walls, that was the initial plan, but just as I got close, I saw that a barrier of some kind seemed to be turned on .
I was at loss of words, why was it that everytime that I seemed to go anywhere, there would always be some kind of barrier appearing, I can already guess that this barrier too would be gifted to the Dorell by the Demon Emperor .
Already feeling that this was a bit ridiculous and already feeling a bit impatient, I directly turned my eye power on and saw that the barrier in front of me was filled with very much every color there is, what's more, all these colors were clashing chaotically with one another .
Without a need for anyone to tell me, I was able to see that each color represented an element, my thoughts were clear about that, my bewilderment was because my ability see through barriers was rendered usless here, no it was better to say that the barrier in front of me was in a constant process of deconstruction and reconstruction .
It felt as if the barrier kept turning on and off, every time it would be turned on, the whole lines of mana forming it would be directly reshuffled and reorganized, so my eyes was of no use against such a barrier, at least my current eye power can't .
But I don't know about the future, I can sense that it's quite limited by my current mental capabilities and energy, so I can't be certain about its full power yet .
But currently there was no way of using it to break into the barrier, so I stopped wasting my Mental Energy for nothing and instead began to inspect the whole barrier thoroughly, I was merely touching it and getting shocked, but the shock wasn't enough to hurt me much, so I kept inspecting it over and over, but to no avail .
It seem that I will need to force my way through, what a waste of a good barrier this is, but there was no helping it, just as I was about to launch a devastating attack on the barrier, somone seemed to finally come out to meet me .
Surprisingly, it was none other than Loger, but that guy's expression seemed to be quite weird, he had already shown that he had enmity towards me before, but the expression on his face currently was more that of ridicule than showing enmity .
I looked at him strangely wondering what might be exactly wrong with him, him seeing me looking at him like that said :
That guy got himself killed and you already tried to disguise as him to infiltrate our family, well you can only dream about it, as long as this Chaotic 7 Elements barrier is on, your disguise will be lifted the moment you touch the barrier, not only that unless you had the physical strength of a peak Ruler powerhouse, you can only stay there obediently, hahahaha .
After hearing what this guy was saying, I couldn't help but want to smack him, my hand was really itching me, but I still held back on this thought, that guy just give an important piece of information to someone who's considered an enemy just like that .
If that isn't a stupid move deserving of punishment, I don't know what is, dealing with this issue can be postponed for later, it's the other thing that he said about me being a disguise of Callen that completely caught me by surprise .
He also was aware that the original Callen Loon was killed, what was going, how was he able to get this kind of information, was my cover really blown up this quickly, but how ? .
I was beginning to panic, if my identity as a human was to be known by others, then all my plans and actions will go to waste, not a single Demon would want to cooperate with a human against the Demon race, that much I'm able to tell .
So me getting called out for being a fraud here, could only mean that he had already informed others about this, what should I do from here on out, I can still take this whole kingdom on, at least I believe so .
Just as I was thinking of taking quite drastic measures, I heard Loger continue to say in a taunting voice :
What are you standing in front of our front gate for, go ahead and scram, even if your family head Levan came here today, the results will be the same, so get out of here .
Hearing him say this I felt as if I was struck by lightening, realization dawned on me, I was thinking about a completely different thing compared to that guy, his words just now confirmed that my identity as a human was completely safe and unscathed .
The stupid guy in front of me mistook me for a Levern Family member who are known for their shape shifting innate talent, it seem that this barrier and the whole weird atmosphere around the family mansion was linked to me visiting the Levern Family .
If I'm not guessing wrong, I would say that those guys already believed that I will die there, that's why he mentioned getting killed just now, I totally misunderstood his words and thought that he meant the original Callen .
While in fact he was just speaking his own thoughts and hopes out loud like this, but they can't be blamed much for this, the new will start circling around the city from tomorrow morning, as long as Levan won't go back on his words of course .
I was about to say something, but then the voice of the Dorell family head Dorax came and I finally saw him making an entrance into this weird scene, he said :
What happened Loger ? .
Family Head come and see, someone from the Levern Family came here disguised as that Callen, I believe that he had already fell at their hands and now they come to negotiate with us .
Hearing what Loger said, all I heard was the sound of air being disturbed and I saw the face of family head Dorax appear beside Loger, seeing me at the door, looking uninjured and not bothered by this in the slightest, he couldn't help but squint his eyes at me and say :
You, who are you ? .
I was feeling like creating some more havock and saying something like I'm not Callen, but witnessing the confusion that happened before, I decided that it was best for me to come clean with him, so I said :
" I'm Callen Loon, the heir of the Dorell family and the one that brought the Levern Family to its knees, care to open the barrier now .
After I said this, even without giving the family head a chance to react, Loger directly burst out laughing and his laughter was too loud that it even gathered some audience here, mainly the elders and a few family members, but they all came to be quite confused at what was happening .
Hahaha, do you really think that we are stupid or something, how can a mere single person be able to defeat a whole family, it seem that you will keep staying there for a long time, no one here stupid enough to believe your lies .
I heard him say this and my anger flared a bit, the barrier was strong yes, but all that I will need to break it was merely a good delivered punch and it will directly collapse, yet here that guy making fun of me like this, I no longer care what happen to this barrier, I want to educate that guy .
Are you really Callen ? .
Hearing the question of the family head, the thought of reason suddenly emerged again and I got a good idea, I directly extended a finger towards the barrier and under the shocked eyes of everyone present, my hand clashed with the barrier and sparks began to flew out of our clash, but even so, my body didn't become neither Blue nor Green, I was still the same as before .
After I did this, I turned my gaze towards the onlookers inside the barrier, I was able to see that their eyes and mouths were wide open from shock, seeing them like this I chuckled internally and said :
" So do you still want have doubt on whether I'm the real Callen ? .
" Will someone open this damn barrier already, or should I destroy this one too like how I did to the one at the Levern Family .
Seeing them so stunned, I said this to awaken them from their trance and after my curse reached the ears of Dorax, he seemed to have been reminded of what happened before in the palace, his hand formed a sealed from mana then the seal sunk into the barrier walls, much to the dissatisfaction of Loger .
That guy even dare to still question the family head decision of letting me in, saying that I might be lying and that I will bring a plague with me and on and on, hearing what he was saying, I already understood what he was trying to do, but dealing with him after the barrier get turned off will be better .
In less than 5 seconds, the barrier walls cracked and began to dissipate into columns of mixed colors of lights, seeing the barrier being turned off, I took a few unhurried steps inside and just as the family head seemed to be turning the barrier on again, seemed to be hesitant a bit after listening to Loger .
But I motioned for him to stop what he was doing and shook my head, indicating that there was no need for him to be so guarded, if those guys were to see how docile was that Levan in front of me, I think that there jaws will drop to the floor from shock .
You, what do you want to do, don't come close, I'm warning you .
After I entered the family's grounds, I continued to walk towards Loger and seeing me approaching him instead of anyone else, that guy seemed to be a bit nervous, his dad Drakes tried to step in front of him and shield him with his body .
But just as he took a step, a strong pressure was suddenly being exerted on him, fixing him completely in place and forcing him to grit his teeth just so that he can keep standing, as for protecting his son, well I wish to see him try .
One step after the other, I finally reached where that Loger was, surprisingly this time the family head no longer tried to mediate between us two, he sighed and shook his head, completely giving me the right to deal with this situation as I see fit .
I couldn't help but wonder why was he reacting like that, but I didn't dwell much on it, instead I reached for Loger's neck directly and pulled him off the ground, he was about to use his Demon Form, but I said :
" Do it and you will really die this time around .
He instantly stopped the transformation and stared at me with eyes that were filled with nothing but hatred, seeing him like this, even though he chickened out just now, I began to use my free hand to show him his place .
For 15 minutes straight I kept slapping this guy until his head had no room to hit him in, his face had become completely swollen and puffy .
His eyes were tearing up and he no longer looked anything like how he used to be before, seeing him still looking at me with hatred, I turned towards the family head who had quite the weird look on his face and said :
" Did you tell him what I told you to ? .
Dorax, the family head hurriedly nodded and seeing his nod, I turned towards Loger and said :
" Today is me giving you one last chance, dare to go against me and even your stupid father won't be able to save himself, much less you, understand ? .
