Chapter 319 - Old Deflowering Wound

The click of Victoria's high heels echoed slowly down the long hallway. She started to slow down her walking because she knew that now was the right time.

"So, you are just going to disappear again like that? Without even saying goodbye to your old girl?"

Victoria stopped and turned around. Alexia was leaning back against the wall. Right above them, a neon light was flickering and making a buzzing sound, casting long shadows across the floor. A deep silence sat between the two women for a moment.

Then, Alexia wiped a drop of sweat from her jaw and looked at Victoria's clean, fancy clothes.

"You still look like you belong to a big company office, Ma'am. Even down here in the dirt," Alexia said, tapping her finger against her hip.

"And you still look like you belong to the court," Victoria replied.

Alexia observed her for a moment, maybe contemplating her face. Then, she looked down at her heels.

"But why always black? You look like you're constantly going to a funeral."
