"Are you giving up?" Lord Voldemort's wand pointed from afar. Corella shook her head, "We have our dignity, Lord Voldemort. Not everyone is afraid of death and clings to life.
The people crouching on the ground nodded in agreement, "That's right, Lord Voldemort, violence cannot solve any problems." Mr. Shafiq said with a pale and haggard face.
..."Very good, very good." Lord Voldemort nodded.
"If you don't want your lives, there's nothing I can do." Lord Voldemort snorted, "Do it, Lucius."
Lucius responded, took out his wand, and pointed it at Mr. Shafiq, "Avada..."
"Lord Voldemort, you are too rampant." A firework exploded in the sky above the open ground, accompanied by a man's hoarse voice.
A man leaning on a crutch stood at the church entrance, with seven or eight people lined up behind him, both men and women, holding wands.
"Another group of old friends..." Lord Voldemort licked his lips.
Gary's gaze swept over the crowd and saw Mr. Shafiq standing behind the man with the crutch. He was holding his wand, looking as if he was facing a formidable enemy, and did not notice Gary crouching in the crowd.
"I still remember your Blasting Curse that blinded my left eye..." The man standing at the church entrance walked down the steps one by one, leaning on his crutch, his whole body exposed in the moonlight. Only then could Gary clearly see his face.
It was full of scars, and under the moonlight, it looked like a piece of old, decaying wood. His right eye was normal, but his left eye socket contained a blue eyeball, slightly larger than a normal human eye, constantly rolling around in its socket.
He limped with his left leg, and his crutch made a clicking sound on the steps. The group of people behind him also followed the man with the crutch down the steps.
The Death Eaters all aimed their wands at them.
"Yes, Moody." Lord Voldemort sneered, "I just casually used a Blasting Curse, and I didn't expect your combat ability as the Head of the Auror Office to be so poor."
"Our reinforcements will arrive soon. If you want to run, we can't stop you, but the hostages and your subordinates must be left behind." Moody's blue eye quickly scanned among the hostages. Just by being looked at by that blue magical eye, Gary felt as if his eyes had seen through him, making him feel very uncomfortable.
"Is that so?" Lord Voldemort laughed triumphantly, "Do you foolish Aurors think I haven't made any preparations?"
Moody was startled. The speed at which he cast spells was completely different from his walking speed, fiercely and swiftly shooting out two Expelliarmus and Stupefy spells. The Aurors behind him also attacked simultaneously, and a sky full of spells rushed towards Lord Voldemort.
"Help me block them!" Lord Voldemort roared with his mouth wide open. A group of Death Eaters gathered in front of Lord Voldemort, setting up one Shield Charm after another in front.
The Aurors' spells hit the transparent Shield Charms, causing ripples and overflowing magic.
Taking advantage of the two groups' fierce battle, Gary pulled Lily and Alfrina from the ground and ran away. Howard stumbled a few steps, put Kona's arm over his shoulder, and followed Gary out of the circle.
The children's bodies were small, and running out in the dark meant the still-fighting Death Eaters couldn't discover them. However, three young girls nearby also secretly followed.
"You take another path; we're too big a target if we stay together!" Gary turned back and saw several burdens had followed them. He lowered his voice, wanting to drive them away.
The three girls looked at each other when they heard Gary's words, then mumbled a lot of things Gary couldn't understand at all.
"What was that?" Gary didn't stop. He had a wand and cast a Levitation Charm on Kona, Lily, and Alfrina, relieving the pressure on him and Howard.
"They are three Koreans." Howard wiped a sweat. With the Levitation Charm, Kona's body became much lighter.
"You also understand Korean?" Gary looked at him in surprise. He tried to steer the conversation in another direction, feeling a little guilty about casting Crucio on his friend.
Gary took a step forward, holding Alfrina and Lily. "I..." Howard was about to speak when Gary stopped him.
"Step back, Howard, step back!" Gary's foot immediately retracted as if it had stepped on fire. He had just felt a surging magical power flowing beneath his feet.
"What's wrong?" Howard asked, but his feet honestly retreated.
The three Koreans also knew something was wrong from Gary's tone and immediately ran backward.
Gary looked at the battlefield behind him. Lord Voldemort was now in the middle of a group of Death Eaters, his wand continuously drawing on the ground.
"Fiendfyre Curse..." Gary mumbled, his hand gripping his wand tightening a bit.
Lord Voldemort laughed triumphantly. He picked up his wand from the ground and pointed it at the sky. Gary felt the magic beneath his feet begin to boil, surging towards the ground.
The ground cracked, revealing one blue flame after another. The raging flames formed a circle, centered on Lord Voldemort, encircling all the hostages and Death Eaters.
Gary hadn't expected Lord Voldemort's magic level to reach such a state, capable of casting such a large-scale Fiendfyre Curse at will.
The Aurors, led by Moody, were cut off by the blue Fiendfyre, powerless.
Gary and Howard looked at the blue flames less than thirty meters in front of them, silent.
The two of them, supporting three girls, couldn't possibly cover such a long distance. Once this blue Fiendfyre touched a body, death was certain.
"Put me down." Gary heard Lily's weak voice. He hesitated for a moment but still let go of Lily's hand.
"What's wrong with Al?" Lily's first concern after getting down was Alfrina.
Gary was holding Alfrina's waist. Her eyes were devoid of emotion, just staring blankly into the distance.
"I don't know..." Only then did Gary notice Alfrina's abnormality.
"You really are a bastard, Gary." Howard said, grunting, covering his chest. He had received the lightest Crucio, and since his body was stronger than his companions, he no longer felt much pain.
"I couldn't help it. Taking a Crucio is better than taking an Avada Kedavra, isn't it?" Gary explained.
"Do you think Lord Voldemort will really let us go?" Lily questioned.
Gary looked at Lord Voldemort, who was cheering for his Fiendfyre Curse. His arrogant and unbridled face looked even more bizarre under the blue firelight.
"He treats us like puppets. He'll kill us whenever he wants. Is it possible that someone with his personality would be stingy with one or two Avada Kedavra?" Lily said, hunched over and holding her chest, presumably still feeling the pain from the Crucio.
Gary stopped talking. He looked at Alfrina's dazed expression, feeling a little worried.
