Chapter 54 - New World old problem

A week later, both of them were sleeping soundly as Nuolzot woke them up. " invincible, max were here."

Marcy stretches and yawns, her sleep-rumpled hair and casual posture making her look almost human despite her superhero costume. Max rubs his eyes, his t-shirt wrinkled from sleep. "We're here?" he asks groggily.

"Yes, we have arrived at Thraxa," Nuolzot confirms, gesturing to the window. As they peer out, they see a vibrant, colorful planet with swirling clouds and vast oceans. The capital city sprawls out below them, a maze of futuristic buildings and towering spires.

They land in the middle of a city the three of them get out as they walked towards the palace, but Marcy and Max noticed something. The people don't seem worried and there isn't any damage from any meteors or asteroids so they keep their guards up as they eventually reach the palace.

" our emperor will explain everything to you."said Nuolzot we both bowed. as the said emperor came closer. " hello sweetie and Max long time no see." voice, we both looked up and saw Omni-man.

" Dad." said Marcy Marcy started to get angry at all the things he did on earth the killing and attempting to kill Max and the harsh beat down. She went through. She slowly walked forward for a moment. It looked like she might punch him, but instead, she hugged him.

Omni-man looks genuinely surprised by the hug, his arms wrapping around Marcy slowly, as if he's not used to affection. Max watches the reunion carefully, still wary but trying to give them space. The emperor pulls back, cupping Marcy's face gently. "My sweet girl,"

marcy pulled back. " This was all you bringing us here. They told me they needed our help." She asked

" They do need your help." Said Omni-man

" Why do they need our help?" She asked

" That's complicated come with me and-." Marcy cut them off.Marcy's expression hardens, her voice steady and firm as she interrupts Omni-Man. "No. You don't get to just brush me off with 'it's complicated.' After everything you've done—trying to kill Max, hurting me—I deserve straight answers. you murdered thousands of innocent people on earth ruined lives tried to kill the person I love why would I listen to you?"

Omni-Man's expression flickers with something akin to pain, but it's quickly masked. He takes a deep breath, his voice measured as he speaks. "Marcy, what I did on Earth... it was wrong. I realize that now. But this is bigger than our personal issues."

Marcy's eyes narrow, her arms crossed over her chest. "Bigger than murdering innocent people? Bigger than trying to kill Max and shattering my trust?" She glances at Max, seeing the hurt and anger in his eyes as well. "I'm done listening to whatever you would have to say come on Max we're leaving."she said, blasting off into the sky with Max right beside her.

"I take it you don't know the way back to earth do you?"Marcy pauses mid-air, realizing they're completely lost in space. She glances at Max, who shrugs helplessly. "Um... no. I don't," Marcy admits, frustration etching her voice.

Omni-Man appears before them, floating effortlessly. "You can't just fly off into space without coordinates. You'll be stranded out here." His tone is firm but not unkind. "Marcy, I know you're angry—rightfully so—but please. Hear me out. The people of Thraxa are innocent in this. They're facing extinction." He gestures back toward the planet.

"Marcy, let's at least hear what he has to say."Marcy sighs, her anger boiling under the surface. She knows Max is right, though. They can't just fly off without knowing where they're going. "Fine," she grinds out, crossing her arms. "Talk." Omni-Man nods, relief flickering across his face.

Omni man flies them back down To the palace, they walk through several doors before coming into a room with Thraxan woman. Marcy and Max just stay there for a moment as I approaches her and they kiss.

The room falls silent as Omni-Man kisses the Thraxan woman tenderly. Marcy's face contorts with anger and confusion, while Max looks on with growing understanding. When they pull apart, the woman smiles warmly. " Marcy, your father has told me so much about you and you must be Max her boyfriend." she said

Marcy's jaw drops, taken aback by the woman's gentle welcome. For a moment, her anger is forgotten as she processes this unexpected seen before her. " what the fuck is going on?" she started with trying to keep her calm. " did I miss speak." she asked "Andressa" said omni-man pointing to the side and she went over there for a moment. " I know you're surprised-."

Marcy cuts him off, her voice rising. "Surprised? Surprised?! You abandoned us, you tried to kill Max, and now you're here with... with her?" She gestures wildly at Andressa, her face reddening with anger and hurt.

"What kind of game are you playing, Dad? no way I get it. You want to show me how good your life is now without me and Mom super glad you did that if that's all we're leaving."she said turning away. " that was not what I wanted to show you." said Omni man as he walked to a nearby crib.

Max's eyes widen as Marcy turns around still angry. " what could you possibly." she stopped herself mid sentence looking at the baby in her father's hand. " who is that?" she asked, even though she probably already knew. For a moment, all her anger and hurt are temporarily forgotten as she stares at the tiny, innocent face in her father's arms. The baby coos softly, reaching out a tiny hand towards Marcy. Omni-Man's expression softens, looking at his daughter with hope.

"Marcy," Omni-Man starts carefully, "This is your little brother." He says, his eyes never leaving her face. Andressa steps forward, smiling softly. "He's half-Thraxan, half-Viltrumite."

Marcy's expression is a whirlwind of emotions - shock, anger, hurt, and a hint of something softer. She looks between the baby, her father, and Andressa, her voice barely a whisper. "You... you had a baby with her?" She asks, her hands trembling slightly.

An hour later, Marcy stands outside the palace with Max and Omni-Man. The cool Thraxan breeze does little to calm her still-fuming mind. Max's arm is wrapped around her waist, trying to offer comfort and grounding. Omni-Man stands a respectful distance away, his expression solemn. " I don't even know what to say. I new wife, a kid you replaced us." she said

Omni-Man sighs deeply, running a hand through his hair. "Marcy," he begins, his voice heavy with emotion, "I never meant to replace you or your mother. Things are... complicated." He pauses, searching for the right words. "Andressa and I, we fell in love."

Marcy scoffs, pulling away from Max slightly. "Love?" she repeats bitterly. "You have a funny way of showing it, Dad. By abandoning us, by trying to kill Max, by starting a new family without a word to us." Tears prick at the corners of her eyes, but she blinks them back angrily. " the reason I called you here wasn't just about your brother. The rules of Viltrumite interbreeding-"

"...What?" Marcy interrupts sharply, her brow furrowing in confusion. "What rules? What are you talking about?" She turns to face him fully, her anger momentarily forgotten as new pieces of the puzzle start to click into place in her mind. " Marcy we are only allowed to breed with genetically similar species. By now they have learned. I have left my post and they will eventually find me and when they do, they will see your brother as inferior and kill him."

Marcy's anger drains away, replaced by cold horror. "They'd kill an innocent baby?" she asks, her voice shaking. Max pulls her closer, his arm tightening around her waist protectively. Omni-Man nods grimly. "Viltrumite purity laws are..."

"...Barbaric," Max finishes darkly, his brow furrowed. "So you're saying if they find out about the baby..." Omni-Man swallows hard, his expression pained. "They'll see him as an abomination. Half-Thraxan, half-Viltrumite."

Marcy's protective instincts surge forward, overriding her anger. "But he's innocent," she insists, her voice trembling. "He didn't choose any of this." She looks at her father, truly seeing the fear and love in his eyes for the first time since arriving.

""To Viltrum, the purity of our bloodline is everything," Omni-Man explains gravely. "If they find out about him, they won't see him as an innocent child. They'll see him as a threat, a dilution of our species."

"OK now I see why you asked for us because I beat you in a fight and Marcy's Part Viltrumite so we're the only ones who can help you But Marcy is nowhere near as strong enough to fight someone like you sorry I had to say it." Said Max

Omni-Man nods solemnly, accepting Max's assessment. "You're right. Marcy's strength is impressive for a half-Viltrumite, but it's not enough to face a full-blooded Viltrumite warrior." He looks at Marcy, his expression softening.

"I can't just stand by and do nothing," Marcy argues, her jaw set determinedly. "He's my brother. I won't let anyone hurt him." She turns to Max, her eyes pleading. "Max, we have to do something. We can't just-"

The ground shakes violently beneath their feet as the explosions echo through the air. Panicked screams rise from the palace, followed by the sounds of destruction and chaos. Omni-Man's eyes widen in horror. "They're here," he growls, taking off into the air with incredible speed. "Viltrumites!"

"marcy, max take the baby and Andressa To safety, she will show you where." Said Omni man as he flew away to fight them off Marcy holds the baby tightly in one arm, her other wrapped protectively around Andressa's waist as she flies as fast as she can away from the city, Max keeping pace beside her. The sound of explosions and fighting grows distant, but the fear and adrenaline pumping through their veins keep them moving.

After several minutes of flying, Andressa points to a hidden cave entrance tucked into the side of a mountain. "In there," she gasps, out of breath. Marcy dives inside, Max following closely behind. The cave is dark and narrow, but it opens up into a large, safe-looking cavern.

Andressa touched a crystal and cavern lit up Love several other crystals and tactics We all walked deeper into the Cavern.

As they walk deeper into the cavern, Andressa's touch on the crystals illuminates their path with a soft glow. The cavern is surprisingly spacious and well-hidden, with natural formations creating private nooks. She leads them to a secluded area where there are comfortable-looking rocks and a small spring of water.

Andressa carefully takes the baby from Marcy, settling him onto a soft-looking rock near the spring. He coos contentedly, reaching for a nearby crystal with a chubby hand. Marcy collapses onto a nearby rock, exhausted and stressed. Max sits next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "We're safe for now,"

"For now," Marcy echoes, her voice trembling slightly. She leans into Max's embrace, taking comfort in his warmth. Andressa hums softly to the baby, rocking him gently. The sound of distant fighting and explosions has faded, replaced by the peaceful dripping of the spring water.

"You never told us his name."

Andressa looks up from the baby, a small smile on her face despite the danger they're in. "he doesn't have one," she says softly, brushing a finger along his chubby cheek. "my people believe we should choose our own names. Our species lifespan is very short, only one of your years"

""So he doesn't even have a name yet?" Max asks gently, watching Andressa with the baby. She shakes her head, "We usually wait until they're old enough to choose for themselves. Marcy's father's geans have slowed our son's aging, but we still expect his first words any day now." The baby suddenly reaches up and grabs one of her fingers, his little hand surprisingly strong.

Marcy watches the interaction between Andressa and the baby, her heart swelling with warmth. She notices how strong the baby's grip is, a sign of the Viltrumite strength already present in his tiny body. "He's going to be a handful when he's older,"

Andressa laughs softly, "Yes, he is. But for now, he's just a cute, curious little guy." She leans down to press a soft kiss to the top of his head. The baby giggles, letting go of her finger to reach for Max instead.

The sudden crash above them sends rocks and dirt raining down. Both Marcy and Max move quickly, shielding Andressa and the baby behind a large rock formation. The baby starts to cry softly, disturbed by the noise. Andressa shushes him, trying to keep him quiet. Max looks to see who caused it and there is a Black Viltrumite. " so it's true the great Nolan father a child with an earth woman." He said

" who are you and what do you want?" said Max getting ready to fight.

The black Viltrumite lands heavily on the cavern floor, his eyes scanning the area until they land on Max. "I am lucan and I am here to test her."he said, pointing to Marcy. " if she fights well, she can join the empire if not, she dies."

" yeah I don't think that's gonna happen."Before we could say anything else came down and hit the baby, causing him to cry, making Luke and turn its attention towards its direction. " I don't think you heard me." Said Max before Luke and slapped him to the side as he did the thing with Marcy to look and find the child. " Nolan fathered another child with these disgusting creatures." he said, his voice is full of disgust. max came charging at them, hit him in the face with a black flash, sending him into a wall.

Lucan slams into the wall with a loud crack, his head snapping back from the force of Max's hit. He quickly recovers, his eyes blazing with anger as he charges back at Max. "You dare lay a hand on me, you inferior species?" he snarls, throwing a powerful punch towards Max's face.

The punch stops in inches from his face thanks to infinity it manipulates space at the atomic level by infinitely dividing the distance between him and any approaching threat. Anything that tries to hit him slows down and stops before making contact. " Yes, I dare"
