Chapter 145 - CHAPTER 145

c145: Luya Fights Hit Again! The Battle of Flash Time

Boom boom boom!

In the arena, Luya and Hit clashed fiercely, their fists colliding with shockwaves that rattled the stage. Neither had yet revealed their full power this was still a probing exchange, a duel of reflexes and timing. Both fighters knew from experience that revealing everything too early in the Tournament of Power could mean disaster.

Meanwhile, Frost, who had barely recovered after Luya and No. 18's punishment, staggered away while clutching his chest. His eyes flickered with darkness as he watched Hit and Luya, but fear outweighed ambition. He remembered how Hit once erased him effortlessly, and now Luya had humiliated him as Frieza once did. Grinding his teeth, Frost retreated into the shadows of the arena. If I survive until the end… that will be the true victory. With that thought, he slithered away like the snake he was.

Elsewhere, Vegeta locked in combat with a warrior from Universe 3 caught sight of Hit exchanging blows with Luya. His face darkened instantly. "Tch! That brat stole my prey… Hit should have been mine to crush!" The Saiyan Prince clenched his fists, remembering his shame in the Universe 6 tournament when Hit dismissed him without effort.

Not far away, Goku also noticed. He tilted his head with regret. "Aww, too bad. I wanted to fight Hit again myself!"

"Oi!"

A clear voice suddenly called behind him.

"Hm?" Goku turned curiously and found himself staring at two girls. The one in front had sharp eyes, wild confidence, and spiky hair that hinted at her Saiyan blood. The other, hiding timidly behind her, looked softer, shy, and almost fearful of strangers.

"Ohh!" Goku's eyes lit up with recognition. "You're the Saiyans from Universe 6, right? You fought alongside Cabba!"

"That's right! I'm Caulifla, and this is my protégé Kale," the elder girl said proudly, her hands on her hips. Her grin was cocky, her voice full of challenge. Then she jabbed a finger at Goku. "And you you're Son Goku, right? The guy with that flashy blue transformation?"

"Eh? Yeah, that's me," Goku chuckled, scratching his head.

"Perfect! I've been watching you. That blue-haired thing teach me how to do it!" Caulifla demanded, her tone full of arrogance.

Kale's cheeks flushed as she tugged at her mentor's arm nervously. "S-sis, you can't just…"

Goku laughed. "You mean Super Saiyan Blue? That's not easy. It's on a whole other level!"

"Tch, don't underestimate me!" Caulifla barked. "I figured out Super Saiyan just by focusing ki on my back. Don't tell me I can't handle Blue too!"

"Well… it's true about the back-tingle," Goku admitted, remembering how Cabba had taught Caulifla. "But Blue isn't that simple. It's not just ki, it's god ki."

Caulifla smirked, dismissing his words. With a sharp yell, she burst into golden light Super Saiyan! "See? Strong, right? Now fight me!"

Goku's grin widened. "Heh, not bad! You're really talented."

"Then taste this power!" Caulifla shouted, lunging at him.

Kale bit her lip, her aura flickering faintly as a strange energy swelled in her chest.

Ha!

Boom!

On the other side of the arena, an explosion ripped the ground apart. Luya tumbled back, his body sliding across the tiles, carving a long trench with his heels.

Hit walked forward slowly, hands in his pockets, expression cold and unreadable.

"Finish him, Hit! Crush that Saiyan and avenge your humiliation!" Champa bellowed, nearly falling out of his seat in excitement.

"Don't get carried away," Beerus muttered, his arms folded. He could see what Champa couldn't Luya wasn't fighting like before. His power had skyrocketed since their last meeting.

"They're conserving strength," Old Kaioshin explained. "Neither is showing their hand yet. This is just testing footwork and timing."

"But then… how do we know who's winning?" Shin asked, confused.

Old Kai rolled his eyes. "Hmph! You're supposed to be a god, yet your eyes are duller than a mortal's!"

Shin blushed with embarrassment.

Whis chimed in with a calm smile. "In a melee like this, conserving stamina is crucial. The arena is full of danger. Even as they fight, they must watch for assassins and sneak attacks. One second of wasted energy could mean elimination."

"I see…" Shin murmured in realization.

"But can Luya really handle Hit's Time-Skip?" Krillin asked nervously, remembering how even Goku struggled against it.

"Believe in him," Beerus said firmly, eyes glinting.

"I'm so happy! It's getting more and more exciting!" Zeno's right body clapped cheerfully.

"There are so many strong fighters! Amazing!!" Zeno's left body echoed, dancing in sync.

The Grand Priest watched with a serene smile. "Indeed. As the weak fall, only elites remain. The true beauty of the Tournament of Power is about to unfold."

In the arena, Luya brushed dust from his shoulders, then grinned. "So, you're waiting for me to get serious?"

Hit narrowed his eyes. "Your power isn't enough. Even if you copy my Time-Skip, you can't surpass me."

"Hah, makes sense," Luya chuckled, his aura flaring. His hair rippled, flashing between black and gold. With a roar, he surged into Super Saiyan, then ascended further, golden lightning sparking around him Super Saiyan 2!

Hit blinked. "That's it? Why stop there? Can't you use Kaioken like Son Goku?"

Luya tilted his head. "No need. This is enough to beat you."

Hit's lips curved faintly. He clenched a fist and thrust forward—yet before the punch even left his knuckles, purple-blue shockwaves ripped the air apart. His strike had already landed in the future.

Time-Skip!

Luya's eyes widened. He dodged at the last instant, barely escaping. His instincts screamed danger as Hit's follow-up strike locked onto him. With a shout, Luya counterpunched, their blows colliding with a thunderous crack.

The impact hurled Luya backward, but before he could recover, time froze again. In the next instant, Hit appeared in front of him, an energy sphere crackling in his palm.

"You can dodge, but you're still too green," Hit said coolly, hurling the blast straight at him.

But the moment it struck Luya's body vanished!

"What?!" Hit's eyes widened.

Suddenly, Luya reappeared behind him, fist already swinging.

"Tch!" Hit twisted his head at the last moment, but not fast enough. The punch grazed his cheek, leaving a red scratch.

Hit retreated swiftly, eyes narrowing. Then, to Luya's surprise, a faint smile crept across the assassin's lips. "Interesting. You actually broke through my Time-Skip with sheer pressure. For a moment… you exceeded one second."

Luya smirked back. His breakthrough had come at the edge of defeat. He had pushed past his limit and extended his own flash time!

"But don't fool yourself," Hit warned, his voice low. "My Time-Skip is evolving. Yours is still beneath mine."

"We'll see. If Goku can push through your technique, why can't I?" Luya countered confidently.

Hit's gaze sharpened. "If this is all you've got, you'll never win. Unless… you have Super Saiyan Blue hidden away."

At that, Luya only smiled. Then his golden aura vanished. His hair fell back to black, his ki suddenly quiet.

"Eh?" Hit frowned.

But the next second, divine red flames erupted around Luya. His pupils sharpened, his aura burning with godly brilliance.

Hit's eyes widened. "This form… I can't sense his energy at all!"

"This…" Krillin gasped. "This is beyond Super Saiyan…!"

Whis's staff gleamed as he explained, "That's the Super Saiyan God. Unlike Blue, it doesn't overwhelm with brute force it refines the body, sharpens the soul, and controls divine ki."

Luya grinned, his body blazing in crimson light. "This is the power of the gods. Now… let's see if your Time-Skip can keep up."
