Chapter 360 - Chapter 356: Tang San’s thoughts on Yu Xiaogang’s character

'Is there a Reincarnator or Transmigrator like me on Spirit Halls side?'

There is no future technology developed in the Douluo continent seen by Tang San, so he did not include Regressor

Otherwise what could explain the drastic changes he is seeing now

----

Later in the evening, seeing that Tang San's mood was clearly heavy, Yu Xiaogang walked up to him and spoke in a comforting tone.

"Little San, don't worry," he said with forced confidence. "Even if Ning Fengzhi doesn't join us now, he will sooner or later understand how wrong his decision was."

Yu Xiaogang folded his hands behind his back, adopting the posture of a wise mentor.

"Spirit Hall has always been overbearing," he continued. "Some of their recent actions must have made Clan Leader Ning fearful. That's understandable."

He paused deliberately, then looked at Tang San with a meaningful gaze.

"But your future is boundless. You are a twin soul master—a talent unparalleled in this world. Once Ning Fengzhi truly recognizes your value, he will come running back to seek cooperation."

A faint smile appeared on Yu Xiaogang's face.

"At that time, we will make him recognize his mistake."

As if that were not enough, Yu Xiaogang added solemnly, "San, don't worry. Even if I have to wrong myself, I will personally go to Bibi Dong and ask her about the cultivation method of twin soul masters."

Tang San looked at Yu Xiaogang.

And for a moment, he was utterly speechless.

'Wrong yourself? You've never had such a thing called shame to begin with.'

Tang San's expression remained respectful on the surface,

'Your so-called Ten Great Core Spirit Competencies were themselves compiled from data collected by Spirit Hall.'

'And the only reason you ever had access to that data—Was because of Bibi Dong.'

His gaze lowered slightly.

'That Pope Bibi Dong was so madly in love with you that she even revealed almost all the combat secrets and fighting methods of the Qian family.'

Because of that—

In his previous life memories, Tang San had faced Qian Renxue, who had already become a god, with far more ease than he should have.

'You are such a fool. If you had shown even a sliver of genuine affection, she might have dragged you straight into the God Realm to enjoy eternal life.'

Tang San's eyes flickered.

'Still… it worked out well for me.'

Even though the cultivation method of twin martial souls was perfected much later in the future, Bibi Dong's unique style of seamlessly switching between her two martial souls had never been fully passed down after her death.

That priceless method— Had vanished with her.

'You might as well go and try again', Tang San thought coldly.

'I welcome any method that makes me stronger.'

On the surface, however, Tang San bowed slightly, his expression sincere.

"Thank you, Teacher," he said softly. "I can never repay your thoughtfulness toward me."

Yu Xiaogang smiled broadly.

He lifted his chin a little, basking in Tang San's respectful gaze, completely unaware of the irony hidden beneath those calm eyes.

And deep within Tang San's heart, another conclusion quietly solidified—

'Not taking Yu Xiaogang to the God Realm in my previous life…Was indeed a very wise decision.'

----

After concluding his negotiations with Tang San, Ning Fengzhi went to meet Ning Rongrong.

From a distance, he observed her training and interacting with the others. When his gaze landed on her standing beside Oscar, the food-type Soul Master, he paused for a moment.

The two were clearly close.

Their exchanges were natural, unguarded—something that could not be faked.

Later, in a casual and seemingly unintentional manner, Ning Fengzhi gently reminded her that as the daughter of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, her future partner would need sufficient strength and stability to support her.

"It is difficult," he said mildly, "for an auxiliary food-type Soul Master to reach that level."

He did not scold her. Nor did he forbid anything. It was merely a reminder to them as her father to consider other aspects before diving into a relationship.

---

That night, Ning Fengzhi walked alone through the streets of Heaven Dou City, the lantern light stretching their shadows long across the stone pavement.

Beside him walked Gu Rong, his expression dark and tightly wound.

"So," Ning Fengzhi asked quietly, "what do you think, Elder Gu Rong?"

Gu Rong snorted, anger flaring in his eyes.

"He's dreaming," he said coldly. "If he thinks he can marry our Rongrong."

Ning Fengzhi stopped and rubbed his temples, clearly exasperated.

"No. No," he said, waving his hand. "I'm not asking about Rongrong."

He glanced toward the distant moon.

"Let her decide her own love life. I will not interfere—as long as the person she chooses has good character."

Gu Rong frowned. Ning Fengzhi sighed softly and continued, his tone turning more rational.

"Rongrong possesses only the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. The chances of her being chosen as the next Clan Leader are already slim."

For the sake of ensuring the continuation of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda bloodline, Ning Fengzhi had worked tirelessly over the years.

As a result, Ning Rongrong had more than a dozen younger brothers and sisters.

Thus, Ning Fengzhi never intended to burden Ning Rongrong with the heavy responsibilities of succession.

"She won't be the next Clan Leader," Ning Fengzhi said plainly. "So I won't place unnecessary pressure on her."

Gu Rong's expression darkened further.

"How can that be?" he growled. "I will never allow it."
