Mornis returned to the City Lord's Mansion with a grim expression.
Everyone came up to him.
"Lord City Lord, how is it?"
"Did they catch that Shadow Mage?"
"Is that Shadow Mage a Dark Elf?"
"..."
Mornis did not answer the many questions, maintaining a solemn face with an unpredictable expression.
A moment later, he asked, "How is Miss Hilia's condition?"
Everyone looked at each other in confusion.
Finally, the most trusted Holy Priest stepped forward.
"Not good, Lord Mornis." He looked at Hilia, who was placed on the bed and still frozen in ice, and said, "The Shadow Mage is very powerful, and after succeeding, he injected the power of death into Hilia through a weapon."
Mornis's expression kept changing, and no one knew what he was thinking.
A moment later, he said, "Let's do our best to heal her. Miss Hilia is a benefactor of Watch City; we can't sit idly by while she is assassinated."
"We'll do our best."
