"Otas, you lost," David said coldly.
Otas lay on the ground, his eyes filled with unwillingness and despair.

"David...I...I was wrong..." Otas said weakly, "I shouldn't have betrayed you...shouldn't have tried to reclaim you..."
David looked at Otas, his heart filled with complex emotions.
He knew Otas had once been one of them, but now he had become their enemy.
However, he also understood that Otas was controlled by some force, and he wasn't a true traitor.
"Otas, go," David said in a deep voice, "I hope you reflect on your actions and find your own true path."
Otas was stunned at these words, not expecting David to let him go.
He gave David a long, deep look, then silently left the laboratory.
