The attack from the first wave of the Jackal-Wolf People cavalry legion arrived swiftly.
"SWISH!"
"SWISH!"
A torrential storm of arrows and Spells fired in a volley from the city walls and watchtowers, hurtling toward the Jackal-Wolf People dire wolf cavalry. In past battles, a volley like this alone would have left behind at least a hundred corpses. However, when the arrows and Spells crossed the long distance and rained down, the resulting offensive was far less ideal than imagined.
It was as if the dire wolves could sniff out danger in advance. With just a few nimble bursts of speed and leaps, they easily dodged the incoming attacks. They were far too agile! Furthermore, during their high-speed evasions, the dire wolves avoided unnecessary collisions with one another. They continuously maintained their original formation while remaining ready to shift at a moment's notice.
