Theoretically, he should have sought out a third-party appraiser to evaluate the goods' value, but considering various other factors, he ultimately dismissed the idea. At least up until now, the Guild's handling of matters had been fairly just—or at least it was to him. He wasn't quite sure if others felt the same way.
"Mr. Gauss..." Michelle's face revealed a slightly troubled expression. "Due to the rarity of true Dragon Corpses, it's very difficult to measure their value in specific Gold Coins."
Gauss's method of inquiry was clearly a bit amateurish. In fact, this particularity wasn't limited solely to true Dragon Corpses; many ultra-high-value commodities were often treated the same way. Very few people would use Gold Coins to buy or sell them. Instead, they mostly relied on bartering, or organizations used their own unique "contribution exchange systems" for settlement.
"However, I can provide you with suitable equivalent items as a reference."
