Xue Dili may have already guessed what exactly he has forgotten.
All the schemes between him and Faust previously were almost entirely aimed at the permissions of the Mephisto World. They completely screened out Mephisto's power on the native planet and then greatly restricted Mephisto's abilities through Xue Dili's absolute control over the Consciousness Space.
However, even Xue Dili didn't expect that within his Consciousness Space, the authority belonging to the Apostle part could still have an effect.
It wasn't the power Mephisto originally mastered through his own status, but rather the authority gradually mastered during the time after becoming an Apostle, perhaps even those powers not yet fully controlled, much like how Xue Dili hasn't fully mastered the Void Power.
And that is, cognitive fraud!
