In the elegantly decorated sleeping quarters.
Lin Xuelan, wearing a loose nightgown, sits on the Master's Chair padded with a cushion, a soft blanket also supporting her back. Her clear eyes under arched brows are downcast, her jade hand caresses her still unchanged small belly, and a maternal glow appears on her lovely face.
Xingyao sits nearby, taking care of her.
"Now, even Xuelan has one, but my belly is still without any movement."
Nangong Ru looks at Lin Xuelan with an envious expression. She married Chen Mo earlier than Wu Mi, even earlier than a few of her younger sisters who married years after her. Their bellies have since borne fruit, with some expecting their second child, yet hers remains unmoved.
"Xue'Er and I are the same. Xue'Er even served Your Majesty before Princess Consort Yuan."
Ning Wan glances at Nangong Ru and speaks up, while Liang Xue nods alongside her.
