River Sea, Chaoping County.
Inside the residence where Chen Mo's concubines lived.
In the back courtyard, the night was deep, and the maids and nannies had all retired to sleep.
The lights in the side room were out, Han Anniang and Yi Shiyin lay back to back on the pillows, silent and still.
The reason Han Anniang and Yi Shiyin were sleeping in the same room was because, during the days when Chen Mo wasn't there, the women truly felt bored. It was July, the hottest time of the year, the nights were long, and the evenings were hard to endure, so Yi Shiyin came to Han Anniang's room to talk, and while chatting, Yi Shiyin fell asleep.
Han Anniang didn't wake Yi Shiyin to let her go back. After all, the two had served Chen Mo together many times, even if Yi Shiyin slept here, she didn't feel anything.
